We arrived around 9:45am and did not have to wait for a cozy booth. The service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Tay was attentive and refilled our drinks, made our bacon extra crispy, and checked on us throughout. The manager also stopped by to make sure everything was perfect. Great breakfast place in Fort Myers. The place feels news and they are still figuring out the service piece but my expectations are so much lower after the last couple of years. I visited family in Florida and was so happy that they have a Keke's in Fort Myers. I've always heard of how amazing the food at the Orlando location is so I have always wanted to try them out. I was delighted to find out there is a location here, and without a doubt I wanted to give them a try immediately! I ordered the banana, walnut, and caramel stuffed French toast with home fries and sausage links. 5/10 - Our server took forever to come over and take our order, she made a few mistakes that had to be corrected, but she was nice overall. The food was mediocre at best and everything was barely warm. I was so disappointed because I've heard really nice things about this place. Maybe I should of ordered something different. Whenever I am in south Florida, I have to find a KeKe's. This spot is plain and simple. The setup is one big room with booths or tables. No frills at times is best when you just want some comfort food. KeKe's breakfast and lunch is definitely comfort food. I ordered the Combo. Apple Cinnamon Waffle with Whipped Cream and a side of butter. 10/10 No syrup need for this plate because the apples were like they came from an apple pie. The apples also didn't taste hard like they came out of a can either. This entree came with 4 perfectly crispy strips of bacon . No burnt bacon and some home fried potatoes. Their potatoes remind of my home style of food in Philly. No dry hash browns here. The potatoes have crispy edges. Oh my. There was also a side of pork sausages which was 4 links. Even their sides are plenty. My friend had basically the same thing only she chose French Toast and scrambled eggs. Eggs we're cooked soft and perfect. Again no grill marks. Beautiful eggs. I went to Kele's Breakfast Cafe on 7949 Dani Drive in Fort Myers but it was closer to lunch then Breakfast so I ordered a Tuna Sandwich with American cheese and fries. It was very delicious, with generous portions. My service was very good, they checked back numerous times to refill my coffee. The restaurant is very clean. I stopped in to have a bite, and do some paperwork. I was seated immediately by a very cheerful host. My server was at the table within seconds it seamed. The music was clearly there for ambiance and was not excess or loud. Three minutes in I had my coffee and ice water and my order was taken. Upon arrival my plate was pleasant to view, very well plated. The eggs were perfectly poached and the over quality was spectacular. I love Eggs Benedict, and I was not disappointed. The day we showed up was her day off! No worries. PROS: 1. Fine breakfast menu options. 2. Helpful courteous server, handling orders for the three of us easily and with alacrity. FOOD: 1. I would judge the preparation as very nice, but all considered this was on par with Denny's or IHOP. The servings were hot and tasty. SERVICE: 1. No complaints. The server had to be beckoned a few times to refill coffee. That's not a positive in my opinion. AMBIANCE: Overall, a rather average experience. $$$ Overpriced for sure from our point of view. We've been following Keke's since our first visit in Orlando about 5 years ago. Its a pretty awesome place for some brunch or lunch. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. I've never had a bad experience while enjoying this establishment. Today I went with a Bacon Cheeseburger. This thing was JUICY! Local breakfast! I stopped in this morning and had the Portabella Benedict. It said with Portabella mushrooms and yes, it did have some. I was expecting the poached eggs to be on top of the mushrooms but they are actually julienne mushrooms with red peppers on toasted English muffin. Still tasty and my waitress was happy to recommend sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes so I could stay on my program. Tasty breakfast. They're almost touchless. Yes, laminated menus and I assume they're wiping them down. No salt or pepper on the table, there are packets inside the silverware wraps. They are still handing out bottles of condiments upon request and my Cholula was great to kick up the flavor of my breakfast. Clean restaurant with a big table. Extremely disappointing experience. First, we ordered sweet tea, and it came out unsweet. When we politely told the server, she gave us a look as if we were lying--totally unprofessional. Then, our son ordered his food first so he could get it ahead of us, but after an unusually long wait, the server finally returned. When we placed our own order, we ended up waiting 45 minutes for all the food to arrive at the same time. Not only did our son's food not come early but everything, except out sons food, was cold when it finally showed up. Amazing breakfast and lunch spot! We wiped our plates clean and couldn't wait to go back another time. The service was excellent from the moment you walk in. There's a guy who is a hoot and he adds an extra touch (no pun intended) to the experience which makes it all the more memorable.
