This was my first time trying a Waffle House, and it was on Christmas Eve 2021 for breakfast. I've always wanted to try it and finally made stopped to check it out. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Our service was great, from the manager welcoming us to our waitress and even the cooks. The place was busy, but clean, and we got a table right away where we could watch the cooks. I definitely got to see how hard the cooks work! I tried the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Hashbrown Bowl-Smothered with gravy. Holy Awesome...of course, very glutinous, but so awesome! I have no words for my experience at this establishment. We sat ourselves at a table and our waitress Rose came to take our order. She seemed like a very sweet young lady. The staff seemed happy and hardworking. However, the rest went downhill quickly. I ordered a two egg breakfast with bacon. I asked for the eggs to be medium in the middle because I am not a fan of runny eggs. When I received my breakfast, there was a hair on my plate, which you can see in the picture, my eggs were runny, and my bacon was overcooked. The butter on the toast was of poor quality, and the hash browns were just okay. We also ordered a bacon and cheese hash brown bowl which was okay. Flies were present on the inside window and one could see the green mold along the window trimming. They need to power wash the outside of the building to avoid this. read more

You can never go wrong with breakfast at Waffle House. Let me be straight with you the restaurant is a bit grimy and sometimes not the cleanest. However the food hits the spot. I love stopping here for breakfast especially when I am on the road. I tried their sausage, egg, cheese Hashbrown bowl and I loved it. It was super filling and tasty. Make sure to order a waffle! My boyfriend and I went to the Waffle House for breakfast while visiting Fort Myers, Florida. When we arrived, we were greeted by kind and friendly staff. The table in the booth that we sat down at was a little sticky. My boyfriend ordered Peanut Butter Waffles with Sausage and he wasn't disappointed. Tasty for an early morning snack. When you drive and are in pain and exhausted you do not want to stand and fix a meal. Waffle house is clean they make it right in front and the food is tasty. Don't do it. We got to watch the cook lay his hand flat on top of each waffle to see if they were done before serving them. No gloves, of course. My Family of 5 dined this Past Sunday. We had sat down at a table at the windows facing Hwy 80 and my son Noticed something gooey on his show. Turns out there VOMIT all over the seat, floor, and wall! EWWWW!! They came over and cleaned it up with bleach while my kids went outside to wipe their shoes down. When I went to pay I expected the manager to at least apologize and comp our meal but we were charged full price. I tipped extra for the poor server that cleaned up someone else's biohazard mess. Ok, first off let me start by saying, I am a waffle house lover. For me to feel the need to say a bad thing about the uniqueness of what a awful house, means it was really bad. I was in the waffle house on Boatways Rd Saturday 3/16/2013 my "sever" for lack of a more descriptive and derogatory term was SHERYL but we will get back to that little slice of hospitality in a minute. There were 3 of us, my wife, daughter and myself. We were at the low bar and it was about 4 pm, not "busy" by waffle house standards. I have seen days it was standing room and ran smoother. My order, was my standard double hashrowns scattered, covered chunked an topped. It's never a good thing when they show up BURNED BLACK around the edges. Not cheese burned but potatoes burned to ash. I pushed that bit off the edge and went on to hopefully like the rest. I never found out though. Lets rejoin Sheryl in her spiral of hate and shame. While giving away my wife's order to co worker as "extra" while she sat there 1 of the 3 of us, with NO FOOD. I inquired as to where her food was, OH yeah that stuff you just gave to your off shift co worker sitting in the corner looking like death warmed over. And could I get a refill on my coke? 5 mine hand her 2 runny eggs no sausuage hands my daughter the bacon that went with her waffle 10 min ago miss she ordered sausage, yeah that plate you just gave away again and can I get this empty coke filled please? no reply goes to clear a table 5 min later cook offers to engage Sheryl in a food fight, give me a reason finally brings sausage to my wife miss can I get a soda? or do I need to go to the store next door? nothing Sheryl continues to win friends by growling at one of the guys near the register about she hasn't got time to talk to him she is busy and if just one person gives her a reason she is GOING OFF. Miss can I get a coke? its been 20 min now, I mean really ask another server can you find me a manager NOW sheryl has time to tell me she is too damn busy deal with it manager shows up Sheryl proceeds to tell me how its MY FAULT the rest of the staff is hiding they been watching this build the whole shift, knew she was going down in flames. Sheryl Slams down a coke in front of me tells me again how she is BUSY in front of manager. She has empty tables and chairs at the low bar, she is NOT busy. She is mentally cornered, she is pulling a double as she has made it a point to tell everybody in the place one excuse and you all get it. I decline the coke, tell the manager there is NO Way in hell I am trusting anything Sheryl brings me, and we leave the plates completely untouched. Really a shame, as I LIKE the waffle house! will I go back? probably if sheryl is there I am going to leave though. Really a shame, it didn't have to be like this. read more
