Man, when you're in the mood for breakfast food, sometimes there just really is no substitute for Waffle House. Love this place. Okay, so we went in and were immediately greeted and offered drinks. Coffee for me and a Coke for the kiddo (kiddo is 30, but still my baby anyway). We both ordered the All American breakfast. There's not a lot to say, really. Just very good breakfast food. The eggs were about what one would expect for diner eggs. Hash browns were perfect, toast was grand, the waffle was wonderful, and man do they sling some absolutely fabulous bacon. I could wrap myself in a cocoon of this bacon and eat my way out of it and likely never get sick of the flavor. Let's be real here. You know what Waffle House is. You know if it's the kind of place where you will feel at home. For me, there isn't much better than a good ol' Waffle House breakfast for dinner. I enjoyed every bite. And, after our meal as I was paying, I spent a few minutes chatting with a very nice server. I always like talking to folks about their tattoos and he had this really rad Irish style tattoo. Similar to the clannad design, minus the crown. Cool guy, great meal, as close to a perfect evening out as I can imagine. Highly recommend. read more

I walked and the house was full. A lot of the employees were talking very loudly to each other. I expected to be greeted right away but that was not the case. A few minutes passed and a friendly employee finally greeted me. She told me someone would be w me shortly. Then it took awhile for my waiter to come by but, when he came by he was nice and resembled the Chef from SouthPark. Lol. I ordered a water for myself and Coffee for my friend. He never brought the Coffee? Then another guy came to take my order. I ordered a Chicken Sandwich with Cheese no bun and added bacon. I loved the Bacon and I loved seeing them use the Bacon press. The Grilled Chicken was flavorless and tiny. The Waffle House should be called the Character House. Lol. There's an Employee there that could have been the Jokers girlfriend, Harley Quinn. Lol. My friend & i stopped in to place a carry out order last wk at about 2 am. The place was almost empty, only one other couple dining in, with two employees: a young black gentleman working the counter & a sweet young lady who cooked our food. The young man was so pleasant & friendly, chatted us up while we waited & made us laugh. And our food turned out to be delicious. Getting food in the middle of the night is sometimes scary becuz Most of the places open That time give off a weird vibe. Not here however. I felt safe & welcomed & would def go back. Big city WH's are usually a big no-no for me. Too much quality competition. But this one was the exception, at least today. Drove by on the way home from Lowe's to see a crowded parking lot and knew I had to stop for breakfast. Had my usual, coffee, two soft scrambled eggs with hashbrowns, city ham and white toast. What's better than breakfast for breakfast? Breakfast for supper! Score! We got there about 8 pm, and there was one customer inside. That means the 2 people behind the counter can pay attention to me! We always sit at the counter cause that puts you in the middle of the action! Both of them were super friendly and we talked the whole time we were there. I got the All Star, with a pecan waffle. Loved it! Recently the service has gone down SO much....closed at random times, "to-go menu" only (consist of her words exactly, Eggs and Waffles, nothing else) we saw they had bread and other items that wouldn't be to hard to make without a cook. Waffle House is a known entity in the south. We love this location. The food is excellent. We have ordered the same thing for evah. Cheesey eggs for me and a single waffle for hubby. And we sharesy. Last trip, the waitress noted that we could get the same thing for less $ by ordering the All Star and adding cheese. Hash browns instead of grits. Raisin toast. We are so happy. The staff are friendly and get along with each other. The wait and cook staff talk a lot; that's the vibe of Waffle House. We call it 'breakfast and a show'. I came in around 9:30 and ordered a TX bacon chicken melt plate. I had previously seen the pregnant blonde cook cross contaminating food by using the same gloves she used to get bacon out of the fridge to also butter someone's bread and fix their plate so I asked the waitress before ordering if she's changing them out as she walks down the line from raw food to cooked, the young lady paused and said yes, obviously not knowing for sure but giving the correct answer if asked because this is the "Waffle House Way" and common sense regarding food handling. I watched the woman pull out slimy bacon and raw chicken only to butter my Texas toast with the same gloves. I just canceled my order at that point. I would hate to get food poisoning simply because of someone's laziness. There was only one other order to cook so no busy house, this just seems to be allowed at this location unless you specify. Really Nice and Good Clean Restaurant with down to earth and home like atmosphere. Good to go have Dinner with a Buddy, Brother or Family. Staff makes you feel welcomed. It was late Sunday and no place was open to eat so my Yelp search took me to Waffle House. I have never been to a Waffle House but thought it would be OK under the circumstances. If you wanna be insulted and waiting without any updates on your food by all means, COME! Where do I begin? First off Tamia (the hispanic waiter) has a terrible ATTITUDE and should be fired based on how she treats her guests. My family and I were mocked and teased by this waiter. We had to have to manager serve us out of nowhere because she just stopped serving us. We did nothing wrong. In fact, we were very polite and were confused as to why she stopped serving us especially when she complimented my sister to try and be nice to us back in the beginning. Idk weird. Tamia brought out wrong orders, forgot orders, and failed to apologize. But still, remaining patient and HUNGRY we waited for a very long time to get our food just for everything to be wrong and corrected her in a nice calm manner. It was 1 person cooking. All the staff decided to clean and wait other tables and guests while me and my family waited for 30-40 mins!!! Ridiculous. Tamia and her coworkers were very rude and were pointing at me and my family and laughing. We had no idea why or what we did?? I have never been mocked by waffle house workers before. Weird. Very unprofessional and RUDE. I called in for a to go order. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette with onions with hash browns and raisin toast. My boyfriend ordered a cheeseburger, no pickles and hash browns. I asked the girl on the phone for my total and she had me on hold for 6 minutes. I just hung up. My boyfriend brings home the food and the hash browns are burnt, no onions in my omelette, they only gave my boyfriend pickles, no lettuce or anything else and I got white toast instead of raisin. I called back to Waffle House and they did not pick up the first three times. Finally a lady picks up, I tell her about what happened and she argued with me about how the cook doesn't put pickles on the burger he always put them on the side. That was not the point! I placed a call my local waffle houseas I was on my way to the store which I was just a couple minutes away from. When the gentlemen answered the phone he asked me to hold. But he didn't actually place me on hold he just put the phone down and I heard him say "if she wants to place a to go order she's going to have to wait." I thought the comment was rude but I figured they must be busy. Just a couple minutes away I arrived at my local waffle house to find only one car in the parking lot. I waited to see if anyone was going to pick up the phone no one ever did. After ten minutes of being on hold and watching "jay" check out one costumer (which was one of the only two costumer that was in the whole store) I tried hanging up and calling back but because the phone was off the hook it was going to the recording. With three employees in the store and one costumer no one could attend to the costumer on the phone which is ridiculous. I walked in to see the gentlemen's name and it was Jay I told him I was waiting on the phone for over ten minutes the lady offered to take my order but I declined.
