I went to this place years ago after I quit working at the Toys R US factory. I was working two jobs a getting little sleep. When they told everyone we had mandatory overtime, I was not up for that. The most of the upper management did not seem friendly at all. I told the boss on duty I quit and he said..."I don't blame you." Drove out of there and went to The Waffle House and had pecan waffles. The waffles tasted so good after all the stress of where I was working washed away. The first Waffle House I went to was in Florida and the last one I went to was in Ohio of last year. Worst waffle house experience. Walked in with 6 customers and no tables or counters cleaned off. Dirty dishes all over. Would usually be forgiving but, 6 employees behind the counter. Then was given plastic. Silverware in plastic takeout wrapper because they didn't have any washed. Followed by a waitress who brought the food and the bill at the same time, never to be seen again. However, while I am literally eating a waffle another employee comes over to take the syrup. During all of this, I did have the opportunity to watch 2 other customers wipe down a spot at the counter and 2 stools to sit in. I've been coming here with my parents for Sunday breakfast for months now, and any of us have yet to be disappointed. The food is always fresh, hot and very good. The staff has consistently been courteous and attentive, they really care here. The ones that have waited on us before usually come over and say Hi or make small talk. Alex, Cathy, Mary, Ni Te, Ty...Gotta love 'em. The environment is pleasing enough, sometimes busy and once in a while there is a wait. Luckily, there isn't much. At least when we get here. Our server was named Corraine. I would not usually name the employee but I believe it needs to be addressed. She spoke in a rude tone, threw straws at us, and rushed our orders. It was OK I guess. First off it was bloody freezing in there, so I could hardly enjoy myself. I'm a person who is usually HOT, and I had to order a hot chocolate in the middle of July. The food was mediocre. Not what I expect from a waffle house. Maybe this was a "northern" waffle house and not one of the southern chain (trust me, they are different). The waffles were terrible. There was nothing brown about my hash browns, and I paid extra for mushrooms and only got 2 pieces of mushroom. The gravy on the biscuits was awful and she glooped so much on there I couldn't find my biscuits anyway. I didn't finish my food and left with a slightly upset stomach. This place gets the job done. My friend and I both ordered two eggs with hashbrowns and a side of toast as well as a waffle on the side to share. My eggs came exactly as ordered (over easy) and the hashbrowns were cooked to the right level of crispyness! The waffle was a bit soft and soggy, in my opinion. I still prefer frozen Eggo waffles over Waffle House waffles o_O. There's nothing particularly spectacular about this place, but nothing really rubs me the wrong way either. read more

Worst waffle house I've been to. Entire counter is filthy. After I ask for it to be cleaned, they only clean directly infront of me. There are five other dirty seats, which have not been touched since I walked in 1/2 an hour ago. There are 4 people working and only 3 couples and myself here. Bacon's undercooked, grits look like soup. Waitress brought out my check before all my food, and copped an attitude when I reminded her about my waffle. And a cup of water costs $1.90?! I visited this Waffle House around 10am on a Saturday morning, and they were, as usual, very busy. The hostess was doing her best to get everyone seated, but it was clear she was a bit overwhelmed. A family walked out because she didn't notice them to have them on her list for a table. In the hostess defense, they didn't make an effort to get her attention either. My boyfriend and I were soon seated and our waitress was impeccable. She was speedy and very attentive. She was the kind of waitress that truly cared about her guests. This was my first time at any Waffle House! I am officially in love. Stopped by this location on a drive home from Maryland. Had an order of smothered hash browns with gravy, pepper, cheese, jalapeños and a chocolate chip waffle. Our waitress was very friendly and kept checking up on our coffee and even making a fresh pot for us. Can't wait to come back to this location! Im handicapped and my wheelchair wasnt working well so i called for take out and asked if they could just bring to ny car right outside their door in the handicapped parking space. They said sure but I was asked to hold to give the order because they were very busy at the moment. So I did. I could see in, not even one forth of the tables were filled, but there were just two ppl working so maybe they were overwhelmed. I dunno. I waited for 20 minutes. They never got back to me. I wasn't really on hold because I could hear everything going on. I tried getting their attention by making noise when they got near the phone. It was to no avail. I finally hung up and called back. But, then I got an automated message that waffle house was not taking phone orders at that time and I would have to come in to eat. My boyfriend is from the south so Waffle House makes him nostalgic. The food is on par with any other greasy breakfast all day joint, except it has that old school American "Didn't get the cue" pre-Y2K greasiness (akin to chinese carryout) that a place like Denny's doesn't have. The crowd is usually blue-collar, with a sprinkling of the random teenager / 20 somethings. The food is cheap and the coffee isn't bad, so I don't mind going. My gripe is with the service though. Regardless of whether the place is filled or empty, its slow and they don't get it right. On my last trip, I asked for chili, mushrooms, and tomatoes on my hash browns- I got mushrooms, jalapenos, and cheese. Good try, but one out of three right would make you flunk a grade in academia. I don't waste food though, so I pick out the jalapenos and ate it. And when you order their burgers, they never give you the toppings. I asked, and the cooks assembled it quickly, but the waiter forgot about it for the next 5-10 minutes. I did not even get a single refill on my coffee which was the biggest disappointment. It's the only thing I even really cared about and pretty much the most rudimentary skill a waiter should have. I wouldn't really mind if service is slow or if its not right if my cup was filled the entire time. Most people who drink coffee on a Sunday afternoon are probably fiends and care about that coffee. read more

I've been to WaHo's throughout the country, and this was, by FAR, the single best staff of any I've visited. Super friendly, attentive, and courteous not only to us, but to all of their co-workers. The line cooks were taking active pride in each plate going out perfectly, helped each other, and served up good WaHo fare. The items we wanted weren't on the condensed menu, but they made them without on problem. Sweet tea wasn't too sweet. Clean, good location, and hit the spot to perfection! read more

We came to the Waffle House hoping for a filling weekend breakfast, and we got what we intended. Be aware that there is no fresh food on the menu - no fruits, no vegetables. There are also no tables that seat 6, so we crammed ourselves around a table for 4, holding plates in our laps. The hash browns were undercooked (sautéed onions still crunchy). Everything tastes like it was previously frozen, but tasted good, was inexpensive, and came quickly. The bright spot was our server, Ni Te. She was attentive, got our very convoluted orders perfect on the first try, and was very friendly without disrupting our meal. Went for breakfast today (12/23/17) at Waffle House and had a fantastic waiter named Alex. I ordered a waffle and he brought it out to me as soon as it was finished- it was still piping hot! My husband and daughter ordered egg platters and again Alex brought each meal out as soon as it was completed. He was very attentive with his service even though the restaurant was full. I was there last weekend with my wife for the Women's March and enjoyed my food, but the service from our waitress was less than stellar. The cook was amazing. Our waitress just sat around eating and told the cook and other waitresses in front of us that she wasn't taking any more customers. The 2nd waitress joined in the so call customer boycott and indicated that she wasn't either. The cook politely asked them to quiet down, but the ladies ignored her. We overheard them talk about their lousy tips. The cook appeared to be embarrassed and apologized for their outburst. She tried to gesture to the ladies to calm down, but they were so emotional that they ignored her again. Despite the large group that was there before us the cook intervened as our waitress. She cooked our food perfectly while cooking the humongous group. The cook made sure we were taken care of as well as the third waitress. One of the UNDYNAMIC DUO had the nerve to expect a tip. We were shocked that she asked. On the upside the food was GREAT!!! Andrea closed the deal and we will eat there again! I don't care what anyone says, this place is amazing. I will sometimes go here alone when I am making the trek up Interstate 70 to my native central Pennsylvania. My girlfriend and I even make the trek from College Park sometimes. I'm telling you what, get those hashbrowns with a little cheese and you're in heaven. The signs that say "try our world famous hashbrowns" do not lie. The waffles are amazing lathered with butter and some of their delicious hot syrup. They also have an awesome one dollar egg and cheese biscuit. This is a great quality breakfast for when you are poor and on the road. Treat yourself right. read more

My husband and I love going to Waffle Houses. We visited this one on Friday, December 30th. The food is typically good and inexpensive, but this Waffle House is the worst. Our waitress was not knowledgeable at all. I asked for equal and she asked me what that is. I ordered a side of grits that I saw her prepare, sit to the side and forget to serve them to me until I was almost done with my meal. The grits were hanging off the side of the bowl. I had egg shells in my eggs and not once did she offer refill our drinks. My next issue is the entire staff. While us and the rest of the customers tried to eat the staff proceed to full around in the kitchen area, complaining about their boss not giving them a raise (I wonder why not), how they need to form a union, burnt waffles and asked customers if it was to burnt for them from the waffle iron, dropped plates and broke dishes and finally, I heard the male chef use the n***** word. :-O I will not be visiting this waffle house again, yuck! read more

Horrible service. We came in New Year's Day to dine in. Two adults & 1 child. There are about 18 tables (including the chairs at the breakfast bar table) & maybe 8/9 of them had customers sitting. The other 10 including the entire high chair section was dirty. Food, grease, plates, cups of oj. As an ex-waitress? I get it. You get slammed. We waited TEN minutes before asking if we could get a table cleaned. A very rude woman says "we'll get to it when we can". Horrible attitude. 5 mins later, still waiting with a hungry toddler on what should have been a fun holiday outing. We decide to order to-go. 10 mins before someone acknowledges us to take our order. A family walks in, older White gentleman & his adorable family. All of a sudden, 3 tables are cleaned instantly. Almost like magic. Amazing. I'm now home eating cold waffles & will never be returning to this seemingly prejudiced & very disrespectful establishment. No stars wasn't an option. read more

I grew up with Waffle Houses and love to visit one when I'm traveling. They're why I do break down and go to chains...for their consistency...not blandness. This was a pretty good one. Quick, cheap, and tasty! What's not to like. Guess I've been living in Texas long enough...I used to always get my hash browns with chili and cheese...this time I also added jalapenos. Yum. This place can be described in 2 words, absolutely disgusting. The place is a mess and the staff don't even care; it is just another burden to them. This place needs to be visited by a health inspector; especially with the food debris cross contamination everywhere and what looks like mold growing in spots inside their fridge where they keep the food. How do people even eat at this place. Will never come here again. UPDATE: My food came before my coffee which all I asked for is a coffee black but I had to wait 10 minutes for it. The coffee mug had old food debris stuck to the inside and outside of the cup, and part of the bottom of my waffle was burnt. read more
