3 eggs over medium & hash browns scattered w/ bacon & hold the toast plate, coffee & ice water.

Two mornings in a row same order and same result - fantastic! I was in early when shift was changing from 3rd to 1st, and both days a guy named Burger was the busiest worker in the room. Cleaning extremely meticulously and also cooking. This man gets it done, or as I like to say - he GTSDTNTBD! Well done, Sir - your team has to be better because of your example.

Grits and an egg over medium! Life is good at friendly Waffle House!

Gotta love Waffle House very early on a Saturday morning! I got up super early for work and had a break so decided to walk over from the nearby hotel and get some grits and an egg. Everyone at Waffle House always seems to be in a good mood! The kitchen is open and you can see the folks helping customers and each other. Somehow, the cooks keep all the orders, delivered verbally, straight. There are a zillion ways to prepare southern breakfast and I think Waffle House offers them all! For me, a serving of grits and an egg over medium fills me up and satisfies my taste for buttery goodness! Life is good with Waffle House! Thanks Penny for your fantastic service!

So my honey had never been to WH before and there was one right as we pulled off looking for ihop We decided to hit it up. While I have been to lots of WH this one was by far the best one I've ever been to! That staff was super nice, the food was fresh and hot and the waffles were off the DAMN chain! The vibe was great and our waitress was great. Thanks for a great rest stop experience. We would definitely stop at this WH again. Xo Veronica

All-Star Breakfast: enough for two meals

It's hard to go wrong at Waffle House. This location was busy on a late Saturday morning when I came with my friend for breakfast, so we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. Our server was this sweet little old lady who was attentive, friendly, and kept our coffee mugs filled. I ordered the All-Star Breakfast which is a massive amount of food: hashbrowns, your choice of eggs, toast, choice of meat, and a waffle. I really shouldn't have but I ate it all. Waffle House lives up to its motto: good food fast.

    Bacon done right!

This Waffle House always hits right. The hash browns here are always done right by the guy who works the grill. I am a scattered extra well done, smothered, covered, chunked fan. If you don't know the WH lingo that means extra crispy with diced ham, grilled onion, and American cheese. I go for the 2 egg breakfast and order my HBs this way with eggs over light and basically eat it like a hash brown bowl. I go for raisin toast with apple butter since I douse my meal in Tabasco because it just doesn't feel right without a kick of hot for me so the sweet toast cools it down and gets you ready for that after meal nap. Hubs goes for a plain waffle, limp bacon, and a side of plain hashbrowns. Everyone who works at this location is always accommodating and works hard! Would definitely recommend. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the mood for good food fast.

Clean and friendly would be how I'd describe this location. Our server was quick and nice; food came out hot. Restrooms were clean even though middle of lunch crowd. I'd definitely go back to this location again. The food is always good at Waffle House and their food quality at this location was also.

Everything you'd expect from a Waffle House. Not even murder can keep this place closed from more than a few hours.

It actually IS crazy, but that's a review for another app entirely. Have you ever been to a place where you can just tell the people there all care about their jobs? A place that operates smoothly without a bunch of flash? That's how I felt about 43rd Street. Very clean and uncluttered, with a definite retro feel. Kinda like stepping back in time a decade or three, but in a nostalgic way. The place was fairly busy but quiet, which I appreciated after 30+ hours of road noise and loud music. We were greeted as soon as we entered and shown to a table with no wait. The hostess (I didn't catch her name) took our drink orders as we were seated--OJ for her and coffee for me--and promptly bustled away to take care of us. Our server, Crystal, was a delight. Efficient, friendly, attentive, all the things one needs to be an all-star server. Our drinks came out quickly, freshly squeezed OJ and fresh coffee, both lovely. I ordered the Firecracker omelette and my partner got French toast with strawberries. We shared a large side of cheesy grits, which I was super excited for. Love me some grits! Comforting, plentiful, and well prepared. Also delicious! I enjoyed every part of my visit to 43rd Street and will definitely return next time I'm in the neighborhood. Check them out, you won't walk away hungry or sorry!

The grimy walls and windows are long gone, replaced with some decent updated decor, which was nice to see. The staff were friendly and clearly at home there. It was fun watching them trade banter with some of the regulars. That kind of easy, familiar energy is exactly what you want from a place like this, and The Clock has it in spades. The menu is basically unchanged, which is fine. I went for the fish and chips special, and honestly... it was just okay. Nothing wrong with it exactly, but for what they're charging, I didn't feel like I was getting good value. I can think of a few other places in town that'll do a better fish and chips for less money, and that's tough to ignore. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and the friendly faces, but don't go in expecting to be wowed by the food.

As an art major, I absolutely appreciated all the little details and decor. The entire place had such a cozy, welcoming vibe. We went on Mother's Day for a late brunch, so naturally every restaurant in town was packed. We did wait a little while to be seated, but once we sat down, Judy, our waitress, was very upfront and let us know the food would likely take about 30 minutes. Honestly, we didn't mind at all because she immediately got us drinks and caffeine, which was much needed while battling a couple-day migraine. I ordered The Clock Two-Egg Breakfast, and wow, it was absolutely delicious. This was honestly some of the best breakfast food I've had since living in the state of Florida. The chunky hash browns were cooked perfectly. Bacon, perfectly cooked, a well balance of soft and crunchy. Judy was also one of the nicest waitresses we've met during all of our travels. She constantly checked on us and made sure we never went without anything during our visit. We were chatting with her about feeding pets, and she even drew a little dog on our doggy box, which was such a sweet personal touch. This place truly screams family atmosphere, and I love supporting places like this because the little family-owned spots deserve support too. We will absolutely be back, and I already know our teenager is going to love this place. Thank you again to Judy and the entire staff for giving us such a fantastic Mother's Day away from our family. The warm family vibes here were exactly what I didn't realize I was missing. Next time we will have to try lunch. = )

It's a little ways away from the campus, where we were staying, but not that far, maybe 10 minutes. I'm really glad we did. What a nice restaurant, and extremely busy, which is a great sign. From the beginning, everyone was very friendly and helpful. It was about a 30 minute wait, which considering how busy it was, not a bad wait time. So we went outside to wait, they have a couple of water dispensers filled with ice cold lemon water. There are some coverings, a couple of benches in the shade. There is also a gentleman who was running a drink station so you can get coffee, Gatorade, etc. they have done a really great job of making sure people are comfortable and cool in the Florida heat. It was almost exactly 30 minutes and we were seated. The menu is everything you expect from a breakfast/brunch place. They also have a nice selection of specials that look really fun and different. I was starving, so I ended up ordering a little bit of everything. It was great, French toast, eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. you can't go wrong with. We were well taken care of by everyone. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
