The food is awful! Didn't taste good and don't make the mistake of ordering your eggs over medium. Water off time and money. The place was packed, probably because the prices are cheap, but still doesn't make up for the food. Ugh Service was decent, though. read more

I haven't tried Waffle House in years. I had some very bad experiences while visiting locations in Atlanta. So I stopped going. But the U.S. 42 near Interstate 75 location was a much better experience. I took my son in law and two grandsons on a Saturday morning recently. Outstanding friendly service and food was served quickly with excellent quality for breakfast. My youngest grandsons of four years asked me to take him again today. The lines were super long on account of us eclipse watchers, but Shonanna was the sweetest! It was my very first Waffle House experience. And it truly is an experience, especially in the south, y'all! It doesn't help that the calorie count is listed on the menu, and makes one feel guilty to eat for the rest of the day. I liked the idea very much! Definitely a Waffle House fan as it gives truly a bang for your buck. And the sweet sweet waitress was just an added bonus! read more

Ist and last visit to a WH. Went 3/29/15 I understand that SOME places are a tad behind in times but walking into this restaurant and a man is smoking? What year is it?? The positives: Our server was a nice/attentive girl- all of the employees appeared to have a great banter. The cook came over and made sure we liked our food- I thought that was great customer service- he was really working the grill- I wish I could have got some pics but I wasn't facing the grill. Let me tell you about my every Waffle House experience from Hoptown to Oak Grove to Clarksville for the past 10 years. It's awesome. Those employees love you the moment you walk in the door. They clean off your table. Serve you. Take your order with respect. Treat you like you are their family. Bend over backwards if you need extra butter. They take it personally. But holy cow somehow someone has had a bad experience. Was your coffee not hot enough? Was your table not clean? Was there a spot on your silverware? Oh my I went to a WH and some lady sat down and saw a water spot on her spoon. Poor thing had a fit then ordered a pancake. A pancake? Listen. Holy Cow! How did I go my entire life without this experience. The prices are rock bottom, the food was good and the service staff friendly and unique. The patrons represented every walk of life. We went to Waffle House about 5:15pm and ordered breakfast. The waitress was not even average in taking our order but the entire order had to be sent back, we had waited 30 minutes for it to come. She said the cook was new. The experience was bad and i don't know if we will go back. read more
