It's close to the airport and if I'm early, I can have a meal before my flight or if I come home late I can grab dinner if I wasn't able to get some thing before departed. The late night cook here is one of the best Waffle House cooks I've seen. He's super efficient and does a great job. The wait staff is hit and miss. I haven't been to the Waffle House in years. We were promptly seated when we arrived despite them being busy. The server was extremely attentive, friendly, and took extra time to talk with us. The food arrived quick. The coffee was fresh. My pecan waffle was just as I remember. Light, flavorful, with just enough pecans. Their menu is currently a bit smaller, but if you ask they can make anything from their regular menu. I have tried to eat at this location twice now. The first time was a Friday night and we went there around 9pm. They were closed. Dark, sad empty building. Their website says OPEN 27/7. Well, this was not so. No note saying why they were closed... nothing. So, today, 7/31, we thought we try again. But before driving there, called to guarantee that they were open. Everything was delicious. My friend ordered the hash browns with everything on them. It looked like a volcano of taters. Half had chili poured on top and the other half had gravy on top. Eggs prepared just as requested. They have an entire menu of $5 combos which is super thrifty. Eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast for $5? Deal! When ordering hash browns, always order them scattered. Always. If not, they will be dropped in a round form and they are placed on the grill to give it a round shape. But this means no yummy crispiness and more of a mushy texture. So like I said...scattered. Don't expect too much here except quick service, efficient waitresses, decent breakfast food and non stop coffee.
