My family and I visited for lunch over the weekend for the first time. The staff was friendly, but unfortunately, they were not very helpful when it came to explaining the menu or the difference between ordering individual items and meals. We had a party of five, and overall, the food was average. The burgers and fries tasted okay, but both the beef burger and the chicken patty were thinner than expected. The fries were basic, and the fried pickles were noticeably undercooked. The beverage station was also disappointing. The fountain drinks were not mixed properly. The root beer had far too much syrup, and the Coke Zero was overly carbonated. The iced tea tasted old, as though it had been sitting for quite some time. We also were not impressed with the sauces. One in particular was overly sweet and tasted more like breakfast syrup than a dipping sauce. As I was driving down the street, I saw the sign for way back and the pictures in the window of some delicious looking burgers so I decided to stop in. Upon entry, the restaurant is immaculate. I have never seen a burger joint so clean in my life. The woman who helped me was very kind. She knew the menu very well and suggested that I order the Cajun burger if I'm looking for a little bit of a kick. I went with her suggestion and added a regular size cheese curds on the side with a water from the fountain. Let me tell you that that Cajun burger had no kick and it was the plainest cheeseburger I've ever eaten in my life. It literally had no flavor. The cheese curds were good, but there wasn't enough. The cook was really nice. We got to talking about old Littleton and how the area has changed so much. I could've made a bologna sandwich that tasted better than that burger. Don't order DoorDash from this restaurant! They don't seal the orders and refuse to make drinks for those orders, instead telling the dashers to make them which is a health department violation, and violation to DoorDash terms. I tried to correct this with the owner but she refuses to listen and insists the other dashers don't mind. It's hard to find a good burger place to feed the masses and has enough variety for all the dietary needs of the office. That is why we chose this place for our Thursday catered lunch. We have an office of 40-50 people. One of the most important elements for ordering is that the restaurant label the food. We had a lovely experience with Wayback Burgers. The food arrived luke warm but it came all the way from Englewood to Downtown Denver so that is to be expected. I had one of the cheese burgers. It was two patties with melted cheese and toppings. It was well cooked and tasted wonderful. I ordered the tater tots because I worry about fries getting too soggy and they were crisp, delightful, but a tad greasy. Everything came in catering boxes and the boxes were labeled so our veggie lovers didn't accidently get something they didn't want. Parking: This location shares parking with nearby businesses. Parking was fine. If the local businesses were popular, then parking would be scarce. 3.5 stars. Staff: Lady who took my order did not seem to have the mental capacity to work the cash register. Unfortunately she completely messed my order up, but the chef was chill and quickly made me another meal, correctly. Also, one of the people I was with is currently handicap, but the lady at the cash register stopped us from sitting at the lowtop tables because she "just mopped" (even tho the floor was dry...) so we had to sit at a hightop and improvise for the handicap individual. 1 star due to her. Food: Meal was good, but fries were undercooked. The smash burgers were very quick to cook, so our food was ready fast. 3.5 stars. Bathrooms: They were clean and good. 4 stars. Ambiance: This is a good place to come if you just want to grab a quick meal with a friend. I wouldn't suggest bringing a date here. Restaurant noise is low and makes conversation easy. 3 stars. Overall: I don't think I will go back. The food was quick, but very mid. Phenomenal burger! I dined in and had one of the most delicious burgers ever. I ordered the classic, with fries and a coors light. It was Monday and they had the fries for a dollar which was pretty cool too. My total was less than $15, which was more than reasonable. The service was really great! Josh was who took my order, made my burger, and even brought it out to me! I assume you shouldn't expect this if they are busy though. My burger literally looked like their photo for it. The ambience is cool, it's very clean and what you would expect for a nice burger place. If you're ordering any sandwich on Grubhub etc, just know it will never be as good as if you dined in. The burgers are custom just like you see at 5 guys, or they have their signature ones. I went with the Rodeo minus cheese as I want to taste the meat. The meat is very tender and cooked perfect. The onion rings are like a beer batter and they are ok, and the standard BBQ sauce that you get at a store. Fries are nothing special but prob will try a different side next time. So far everything you'd expect from a quick burger place The cashier is really cool guy and friendly. I gave 4 stars because staff, and the meat and buns are a great foundation for a burger and the burger was hot and fresh. Much better then what you get at a Wendy's or McD. Thus the price is slightly higher. I'm so glad we found this gem and instantly fell in love with their "specials schedule" taped to the door. Every day of the week there's a featured deal, makes for easy decision making! I forgot the exact names of what was ordered but looking at the picture I took it won't be hard to match up with their menu and hey, the actual burgers look the same (if not better!) than on their website! Foods are definitely made to order here and the staff are so nice! You can see the care they render when wrapping up your burgers and genuinely mean it when they hand them to you while saying "enjoy!" Loved the newspaper print wax paper as wrappers and the fact that the buns are structurally well made - didn't get soggy despite the fact that my BBQ burger was laden with BBQ sauce (my only complaint was too much generic tasting BBQ sauce; I'll have to ask for light sauce next time). I have been here three times over the last 8 months or so. The first two visits here were awesome. Burgers were delicious, onion rings were fried just right, and the shakes were on point. The third visit on 12/1/2024 was a huge disappointment. The burgers almost seemed like the portion sizes had shrunk. The A1 burger appeared as if they had thrown it together after taking the patties off the grill; the cheese was not even melted. Their response was to simply dump on more toppings and hand it back to us. The fries and onion rings were severely undercooked and soggy. This is the worst meal I have had in a long time. The picture of the build your own burger looks huge and juicy. What I got was basically a bun. I couldn't even see the meat patty or the toppings without opening up the bun. I also ordered the chili cheese fries which were a huge disappointment. Alrighty then, we finally gave this place its fair shot. The first time we tried to go here there was a wait to order and then a 20 minute wait to get your order. I'll chalk that up to being new. So here goes my review. Comparable to "Smashburger"as far as the size of the patties. The quality was prett tasty but everything is basically ala carte. I liked the fries but didnt like paying $ 4 for an order of them. The shakes were also good but didnt like almost $5 for them ea. They do offer a large selection and variety of things to choose from but honestly I didnt think it was worth the price we paid for lunch. I want to start off by saying how cool an employee interaction I overheard with a guest. They ran out of I believe it was parmesan cheese, and the employee called over the person who ordered it to inform them. Super polite and professional she apologized and immediately said "well there's a king soopers right across the street, let me run over and buy some". The customer repeatedly said no, but the overall reaction, in the moment, was really cool. Bravo for training those employees right. So I was there tonight (thursday) at 645pm. 2 orders in front of me, and my food took 16 minutes. Not horrible, but not amazing. The food itself was pretty good overall. I ordered the double bacon combo (fries and drink) and a side of mac n cheese bites. My total was about $17 for 1 person. A little much for my liking tied with the wait time was eh. My burger had 4 slices of bacon with cheese, lettuce, pickles and sliced onions. The mac n cheese bites were pretty creamy, good flavor of the oil they were cooked in. The fries were just normal. The restaurant itself was tiny, maybe 11 tables total, in a rectangular shape. I'd be a little timid to see what it would be like on a busy night. The parking lot is a little tight, but plenty of parking a little bit towards king soopers on the other side of the parking lot. All the employees were great (as noted above), and the food was good. 7.99 for burger and than 3.99 for drink and fries is tough if you eat on a budget (if you don't ask for combo, the fries are 2.49 and drinks are 2.29).
