We opted to sit outside and once she took our order, we had our food within five minutes. I mentioned how quick the service was and she did mention a Tuesday was a slow day. The seasoning on the fries are the best I've ever had! The burger was cooked to perfection with the buttery bun. I enjoyed my root beer with my combo. Very cool diner vibe. As time goes on, I am honestly becoming more and more disappointed with Burger Girl. The point of a greasy spoon is to be cheap, quick, and filling, and Burger Girl misses on all of those fronts. For their prices I could go to a nicer restaurant with better food and a better experience. Honestly, as inflation continues to soar and quality continues to plummet, I find myself asking why I even bother going out, when I know I'll just be disappointed in the end. She was cordial and knew the menu inside and out was unafraid to make recommendations, perhaps steering you away from some of the menu items. The highlight of my visit was the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Absolutely and totally the best Grilled Cheese Sandwich I've ever had the pleasure to eat. Made with Texas toast, the sandwich was grilled perfectly and delicious. Gaslight needs to market their Grilled Cheese Sandwich recipe. It's really that good! JP ordered a Mushroom Burger. He declared it the best mushroom burger ever! Excellent meat! Our friend ordered the Avocado Omelet. She found it to be very good, though perhaps the avocado could have been a bit fresher. Gaslight has desserts. Based on our server's recommendation, I purchased a chocolate and peanut butter square. It was absolutely delicious. This is definitely now our go-to breakfast/brunch spot in the J-Town/Fern Creek area.

The seasoned fries were very good with a definite note of garlic. The size of the fries order is plenty petite though. Shake flavors are limited to chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. I ordered a chocolate shake and it was pleasantly thick and tasty. We also got some oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies to take home. They were of the most and chewy varietal (I prefer crispy) but were still good. Burger Boy has a digital station that allows you to select music to be played in the restaurant.
