Mrs. K. and I split an All Star Breakfast and I did not get even one bite what I was told was an excellent waffle. I had to settle for the eggs over medium, city ham, toast and grits which were all cooked as ordered and served nicely. Very busy on Saturday at noon but the "helper" cleared off our table as soon as the other family departed so we didn't wait long. Coffee was the usual WH quality and we very much enjoyed our meal. I arrived here around 3:20am on a Saturday (6/24/23) night while headed home to Greensboro from Chapel Hill. I actually stopped to a location about 10 miles away in Hillsborough but they were out of cheesesteak. Upon parking, I saw several cards in the parking lot. Walking in, they had 4th of July type decor and grad decor. While waiting for my order to be taken, I overheard a couple tell the cook their order was supposed to be to-go but it was sitting on plates. Apparently, it had been sitting there for a while. At this point, I'm hoping I didn't choose the wrong Waffle House twice... lol Sure enough, I did. The cooks were over it. Im not sure if the waitresses were messing up or not. However, the cook was making a cheese steak melt but it was supposed to be without onions. The cook took off their gloves and walked on the back... I told the other cook and waitress that I plan to order one with onions. Thankfully I spoke up because that ended up being my food. The hashbrowns were over cooked, which was crappy. I mean, the cook did just leave it on the stove. The other cook finished making the order. I got my food around 3:28am. I ordered a sweet tea to drink. I proceeded to drench my hashbrowns in ketchup in eat. From information I gathered, I think the employee messing up was new. I don't think the cooks were very understanding. I kinda felt bad for her because she looked young :( While I was eating, I noticed that the time in/discard sign for the eggs wasn't filled out. However, they did have a 98.0 sanitization rating. I did watch them clean and restock items as I ate. On the plus side, my cheese steak melt was AMAZING! It definitely hit the spot. Also, the sweet tea was perfect. Visiting family here for the holidays and first time at a Waffle House the day after Christmas, our server David was fast and excellent despite the store being slammed busy. I had the Texas bacon cheesesteak and threw an over easy egg on the hash browns and it was absolutely delicious. walked in after midnight was not busy took our order , got our food and never asked if we needed anything else asked for refills because we were not asked, had to ask for ice. They were slamming dishes and never cleared the dishes from the table, was standing in the corner talking as we left seemed to be bothered to take her money so our party wasn't bothered to leave a tip. I entired and sat at the dirty counter at Waffel House in Mebane for 6 minutes. Eight people were working. They were taking orders, but no one acknowledge my presents or said I will be with you. Everything as expected but noticed more than usual cross contamination from raw meat to plates and finished food. Wearing same gloves the whole time I was there. Grits very bad. Next batch was better. read more

Service was quick, fast and food was decent. The only thing I had a problem with here was that the waitress let my glass get empty and stay that way twice. I felt like I was about to choke on my food. Seems to be in a safe well lit area with many other businesses around it. read more

Ate around midnight here tonight. The lady didn't even bring us our drinks I had to ask for them After I ordered. And when she brought us our drinks I didn't get the one I asked for. Over the past six months, I have been here a hand full of times. I would say the service is excellent and this particular Waffle House is well staffed. It is clean and the condiments are normally have enough in them. The cook during third shift hours knows what he is doing! The one problem I have is that once the tea my girlfriend ordered tasted like chemicals. They just did not run water after cleaning it. No big deal. We drank water instead. read more

Went there this morning for breakfast at 6:30am. Not a patron in the restaurant. I sat at the counter, it was nasty as there was food and syrup all up and down the whole counter. I sat for over 10 minutes while I watched the cook and waitress chatting, and another one sitting on her butt playing on her phone. After 10 minutes of not being acknowledged I left. McDonalds across the street and the Bojangles next door were packed. Now I know why Waffle House had no one there. SERVICE WAS THE WORSE I HAVE EVERY HAD ANYWHERE... I TAKE THAT BACK... THERE WAS NO SERVICE. All employees working that morning, as well as the manager, should be fired immediately. No excuse for not receiving any service. I have contacted corporate. Good service, friendly folks. We did not have to wait long for our food. However it seems the the chicken is cooked in the pork grease. While I personally am not affected by this. I feel like this is a bit unsanitary for people with specialized diets. We waited our entire stay for a refill on water as well. read more

We stopped by here on our way back home. The decaf coffee was freshly brewed and good. The waffles and other sides were consistent with other Waffle Houses, no complaints. The service was very good, the waitress keeping our coffee refilled. She asked if we would like to have coffee to take with us on the road. We got two coffees for the ride home. This was my first time in Mebane and this Waffle House was pretty good. My wattress was extremely prompt.... continuously refilling my drink. The food was really good... freshly made and well prepared. It was a great start of the day. The waitresses were a little loud and playful however the service was good. Typically, WH is our go-to when on the road, but this one will be X'd off our list of ones to frequent off of I-40. First of all, only one table was clean even though 4 tables were vacant. The others still had dirty dishes on them. Secondly, it took fifteen min to just be greeted and have drink order taken. Third, the cup of hot water for the tea was laden with dried grits and eggs - over the entirety - nasty! Fourthly, a waitress wiped down tables, slinging food, napkins and straw paper onto the floor, causing a family with a newborn baby in a carrier to move the baby before something landed on the child as things were flying through the air. Fifth, we can probably tell you all their grumblings of who got called into work when and whose day off it was supposed to be. Sixth, my order was wrong. Seventh, waitress denied hearing correct order, but rescinded ten min later when she looked at the ticket and then said she just didn't call it out to the cook correctly. And, just when I thought there was nothing else which could go wrong, I wasn't given back the correct change until I brought it to the waitress' attention. Now, I feel certain the register shows exactly how much change to give back. - Oh well ... this Mebane WH will not be one of our go-to restaurants ever again. - Needs overhauling! read more

Great food and most of the waitresses are really good, but it is kind of rinky dinky most of the time with being clean and most of the cooks mess up. Its best super late at night or super duper early in the morning, because most other times a day this staff is a bit shambly. read more

Sure wish people working in the food service business cared about the customer like we did when I was young and working in it. Was not greeted as usual. They were not busy yet for a Sunday morning. Wife and I ordered from the $5.00 menu so it was not a real hard order. We sat and we sat watching others that had come in after us get there food before us. No one came to check on us. Lady that works in the dining area had seen how we had sat and went to tell the manager, came back and said she told the manager. We never seen a manager and just got up and left. Jamie is the best waitress and that girl can cook too. but the best cook is Steven. they are the best and if that manager dont quit yelling at them on the floor then they are gonna quit and i wont blame them.
