After a long wait, delicious food! They were slammed on a Sunday afternoon. We had a larger group (7 in our family) and it took a while but the redeemed themselves with the food! Tonight we had a really good experience. Our server was really good! She had a bubbly personality. She kept a constant check on us. Our food.. DELICIOUS! Salmon and lamb chops cooked to perfection! I go to open my salad on Sunday and it's not field greens it's just lettuce that was cut with a knife (so now it is brown and rusted the next day), no pecans and certainly not loaded with strawberries or anything for that matter, especially for $17. Near perfect, The Flo's Filet with the Parmesan Crust is so good, you never need any kind of steak sauce. The salads are always fresh and cold, I have to order one every time we go! My steak was overcooked and unfortunately after Covid, the chain has had some issues getting exceptional grill cooks. So I was meeting someone at Longhorn in Burlington last night. He was very late getting there. The young ladies and the servers were so concerned about my long wait time they kept coming by to check on me to make sure that my guest was still coming, giving me boost of confidence and just asking me if I wanted a dessert, bread or something while I waited. The bottom line is they were so lovely and accommodating, and so when my guest finally arrived, they were all very pleased and tickled. I had the salmon, which is something I always get when I go to Longhorn and it was delicious as usual. But I could decide if I wanted to get salmon or grilled shrimp so I got the combo. So starting off I came in had to wait only like 20 ish minutes. We were seated by a young gentleman that welcomed us. Then our server Sheila came and was very kind and respectful. She asked us for our drinks and we said our usual drinks mine being a simple water with lemon. Went today around 3-4pm and was served and seated quickly. Had an amazing waitress who cared for us and our allergies. The food itself was amazing, the steaks were all medium rare and tasted juicy as-well as flavorful. The mashed potatoes were splendid, though I could do without the butter. The broccoli had a very strong garlic taste at first but then went sour, probably would not buy again. The fries were salty and well seasoned. Spicy chicken bites were not spicy but more sweet. Though they were a great starter regardless. The Mac and cheese was very strong in flavor and was a strong 10/10 for me. Chicken tenders were very crispy and cooked to perfection. Lava cake was just ok, I did enjoy the strong chocolate taste. The cheesecake was very smooth and with the caramel and pecans made it delectable. Chocolate stampede most definitely lives up to the name, very strong but the vanilla ice cream definitely evens it out. I've been to Longhorn a number of times for lunch in the past few years. They have a great lunch menu, the service is good and the food is consistently good. My wife and I last went there about three weeks ago on Saturday for lunch. We had to wait 15 minutes of so to be seated since it was busy. My wife and I both had their "Pick 2" lunch special. My wife had the Grilled Chicken and Strawberry Salad along with soup. I ordered the 7 Pepper Steak Lunch Salad (medium) along with crab and lobster bisque. While we were waiting for our entrees to arrive, they served us some bread. Frankly, the bread was disappointing and isn't even in the same league as the breads served by Texas Roadhouse or Cheesecake Factory. Our server, Sherry, brought our Entrees and left them for us. Laura's was perfect and she loved both the salad and the soup. My Lobster/Crab bisque was very good. Unfortunately, the steak on my salad came out well done. When our server, Sherry, came by I pointed it out and she offered to have them remake it. That took some time and my wife was finished with her meal by the time my 7 pepper steak salad came out. When the person dropped it off they asked if it looked better and I pointed out that the steak was still well done (the steak is served sliced on top of the salad, so this is easy to see). She offered to take it back, but I didn't want to wait any longer. Sherry came by to check on us and saw what had happened. She was got my lunch comped (she volunteered, I didn't ask). In summary, Longhorn is normally a very good place eat. We had great service and management handled an issue well. I went to this location for my birthday on July 12th. Our waitress/server was not the friendliest. My kids even picked up on it. My sister && I ordered margaritas. She ordered a salt rim, I ordered sugar. She poured my strawberry margarita in the wrong glass, and then proceeded to pour hers to see if it was incorrect also. I was missing half of my drink, she was missing a shot or two worth. We weren't compensated. Food comes out. My cousin has hair on it. They replaced it, but never brought out her side of broccoli. She received $10 off her bill. My Bestfriend ordered the Parmesan crusted chicken, it came out ice cold. The waiter took it back to warm it up, but it was still just as cold. The manager came over to offer to warm it up again, but she was over it, and everyone was ready to go. I was expecting for it to be horrible and started with a mushroom. It was flavorful and delicious. The steak I ordered medium well, it also was flavorful and perfect. When my server came back to check, I asked for a manager and was greeted by Wilson. I told him of my experience and learned the chef is a gentleman bu the name of Abby. I was assured that my compliments would be extended to the chef. The grilled shrimp was delish as well. I ordered my dinner attempting to avoid carbs and starch.
