Super early and I'm hungry. Waffle House is always a great open when nothing else is open and so here we are. On a Saturday morning, it was still quiet here as shifts were changing and the overnight crew was finishing their side work as the morning crew was getting set up. Coffee was served immediately and my waffle was poured into the grill. A few minutes later, it arrived as requested. Done properly and with pecans added, I poured on the syrup and polished it off. Good road food, especially when I enjoyed three cups of coffee to go with it. The restaurant was clean and the parking lot is large. Great service this morning. Visiting my daughter, we had a late dinner here. We ordered a bowl of chili, patty melt with hash browns scattered, smothered, and covered, and a hash brown bowl (not sure if the official name). The food was well made, however my "bowl" of chili was served to me in a to go cup. When I asked the waitress if this was considered a "bowl" of chili, she relied yeah, I didn't want to have to clean a bowl (paraphrasing). My son-in-law and I looked at each other like WTH? The other food was on plates so we were baffled. She did offer to give me more chili if I wanted it - I'm pretty sure she just wanted to get off and go home. One of the best waffle houses I've been to yet!!! I visited the Waffle House in Mount Juliet on a Sunday around noon and enjoyed a delicious mid day breakfast! The waffle was perfectly cooked with just enough chocolate, everyone in the building was working well together and helping each other out (it was pretty busy, there was only one open table when we arrived!), and the food came out super quick and fresh! Waffle House at Mt.Juliet Tennessee. This Waffle House is just like any other Waffle House out there. They have the same setup and everything. It's nothing really special about it. As soon you enter the Waffle House. The employees welcome you inside the diner. Before you sit down, they had a guy named Michael cleaning off the table before you sit down and the table was really clean. We sat down and the waiter came over. Just like any other Waffle House but this waiter was amazing! She was so nice and welcoming. She said to us that we are beautiful and liked our eye brows. That literally made our day! Her name was sunshine and that is a lovely name. She got our food order, which was the all-star breakfast and side of biscuits and gravy. I also got an orange juice. Cost me around $18.00 plus a $10.00. The food was delicious and the eggs with cheese always hit home run out of the park. We did enjoy the food! Everything was so good. The place was clean and Michael did so good to make sure the tables was spotless. I really think this was best Waffle House I have ever seen with being clean. Like good job!! They was so busy but it didn't look like being busy at all with being so clean! The customer service was fantastic! Like I said in my previous comment above, Sunshine was amazing! She was so sweet. Thank you Sunshine for your hospitality. That can make sure one day even better! The other workers, I didn't get to interact but they was at hard at work. They was so organized. We love it here. Specifically this branch. The older ladies who helped us with our orders were so friendly. Our experience became delightful as they are a joy to be around with. It was interesting watching them take orders. If you'd like to experience a nice american diner, this is a good place to go. I'm in the hospital from dehydration due to throwing up. I can't get anyone from the Mt. Juliet Waffle House or above them to answer a call. Not even a voicemail. The server put hot sauce and something else in my coffee, which is now being determined. I don't know what I may have done to deserve this. Prices are up but it's still an accessible anytime breakfast fix for quick and familiar food. There are few other such well-oiled consistent dining experiences like Waffle House, how do they do it? Their staff is on top and in touch with getting tables setup, putting in orders, and keeping things rolling. Us seven guys were surprised we didn't need to wait at all on a bustling Saturday morning. Sat right down and menus showed up, I had to go for my usual loaded hash with everything but cheese, a gorgeous combo of all the flavors, meaty, gravy, chili, and so tasty, how has this not caught on with other restaurants? It sure ain't a looker on the plate but like an old leather jacket, fits perfect to cure the cold hunger. The others seemed happy with their dishes too, little leftover. Look at those photos, no question why, my grandparents have been gone a while and Waffle House echoes the old fashioned mood of you're not leaving til you're stuffed. It was surprising to see a big water leak in the ceiling next to our table that occasionally splashed on us. That is something that should not be left at all. I went this morning at 6:45, 3 booths with 2 people in each booth and 1 customer at the counter. As part of my standard method of ordering, i specifically ask for "bacon, like it is on the menu." The bacon that was brought to me was burnt, almost all black. As part of my demonstration as to why i prefer my bacon cooked l"ike it is on the menu" I put my finger to it and the piece i touched turned to bacon bits... how am i supposed to eat something that turns to dust? The re-make attempt was almost the same. I pointed to the photo on the menu and asked if the cook has ever seen the bacon on the menu. Her response was simply, "we don't do that here." This review isn't about the food as they usually are, this food is about the people. Waffle House has forever changed my opinion of them by one visit on one day. It was a very long night when the tornado came through. Electricity was off, nothing was charged, we couldn't cook, and didn't know exactly what had happened. We got out of the house and decided to try to find some electricity. The only thing open was the Waffle House. It had been a long long time since I had even been inside a Waffle House but they were open. They were crowded, people lined up waiting for a table but people were smiling. Less than a mile down the road was total destruction and we didn't even know the whole picture but people were smiling and breakfast was being served. Our waitress came to our table with a smile. Welcomed us to Waffle House and took our drink order. She apologized for being behind even though we were all behind that morning. Our coffee was hot, our orange juice was fresh, our food was cooked perfectly. The guy on the grill was the rock star that day, a well oiled machine cooking eggs bacon sausage waffles hash browns all to order. The staff were working well with him and supporting his very hard job. They all had smiles on their faces. Those smiles and that food made such a difference that morning. They were serving people who found themselves in a moment of confusion and need, they were serving people who got out to help clean up and rescue, they were serving people who came in waiting for their assignment to get power back up and running...all these people brought together at the Waffle House by one night. So while Waffle House is usually that place you think of serving truck drivers, late night partiers, early morning workers, or those midnight Waffle cravings...I learned that it's also a place to feel a bit of normalcy at a not so great time. It's a place to be greeted by a smile and hot coffee, it's a place to literally find light when you have none lol. It's a place where people work really hard. It was our servers birthday that day. And also apparently called me a bitch after I left! (According to a friend) She brought out three plates and some drinks. That's it. Being a server my self I'm usually pretty easy going but this place Is AWEFUL. We sat down after a couple had left expecting to get decent service. we sat down watching a kid/kitchen staff sit on his phone instead of taking the stack of plates in front of us. Easy 10 min with nothing happening so instead we went to Buffalo Wild Wings across the street and got helped right away. Again, coming from the food and beverage industry I understand a busy night but this wasn't even close. They had one staff member busting their ass and the others just sitting around watching, it's a team effort on weekends & nights, clearly there was none. Definitely will not be coming back nor recommending unfortunately. Wish my first experience in the area was better. Waitress was rude and not interested in serving or even being there....she said she could not make decaf coffee at 8:00PM Because the manager had to be there to get the decaf for her...... What??? ...The cook burned the bacon and the waitress brought it to me anyway... he cooked more...it was almost as bad as the first order that he cooked and brought it to me as I was finishing the not so scrambled eggs that were served like a pancake almost cold... what a waste!!!! read more

i live in california so it was my first time trying a waffle house. i couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. they seated us right away and our waitress Felicia was so kind and really made us feel like we were family. Poorly managed walking in the door. The greeter wasn't managing the seating well at all on this Sunday morning. I came in took a seat behind the people there. I wasn't approached to have my name taken for seating. Yes! When a Waffle House is as busy as this one was a functioning greeter and seater is needed! After 5 parties!!!!!!!! 5 parties entered and just skipped right past me I asked why this was happening and the barely functional employee said it was self seating! BS!!!!!! Sure, there are specialty places in some cities that MIGHT have "better" food, but are they open in 25 states? Are they open 24 hours? Have they been around for over 50 years? Nothing changes from waffle house to waffle house. It's consistent, comforting and reliable. Good coffee. Friendly service. This particular one was a little less clean than other Waffle House I had visited However, the waitress greeted us with a smile, chatted us up, and started our days just right. I decided to get hashbrowns "all the way" which is pretty much as it sounds -- with everything they offer throw in. I wouldn't do it with everything again -- it's just too sloppy with the gravy and chili! I am a glutton, though, so it was all good! The booths are small, and it's not too friendly if you have a young family (I have three kids under 5). We have been coming to this location on and off for the last few weeks and continue to come back because of the staff. This location is quick and friendly, which is why they continue to get my business. One weekend, my girlfriend and I were waiting and the hostess asked us if we wanted coffee. Such a small, but nice gesture - something that 100% stands out when it comes to customer service. When you go to waffle house you always have to get the All-Star special. Only one server was wearing her mask properly. The cook only had on a gator (proven to be ineffective in preventing the spread of COVID). Did not require masks from customers. Openly mocked me when I asked them to wear their masks properly. Left my freshly delivered food on the table and walked out to the older waitress pulling down her mask and cheerfully telling me to, "Have a good day."
