Food was good, service was awesome, and loved visiting this restaurant. We all enjoyed our food. We went back a 2nd time. This time it service was slow. We waited 10 mins for a table. The restaurant was somewhat clean with trash on the floor. Definitely different service from the evening shift. However, one standout out of the crew were the cooks and Ms. Jenny. These 3 were working their tails off. The food was delish. The honey had 1/4 inch of water at the top. Good quality honey does not have water that settles at the top of it is not used. It was disgusting, I had to pot it out of the container and shake it up to get to the honey. . read more

4th Waffle House is the charm! On our way back from the airport because our flight got cancelled we stopped by multiple Waffle House locations. It was about midnight when we walked through the doors and sat down. No wait, we were seated immediately. Our server was super friendly and nice. She got our orders in and the food came out fairly quickly. Food was pretty darn good. I got the cheesesteak melt hash brown bowl and my boyfriend got the sandwich and we shared a waffle, half with chocolate chips and the other half plain. Everything just hit the spot. Hash brown was crispy and had so much flavor and the waffles were big and delicious. Just a couple things to note. The outside of every Waffle House looks a little intimidating with the outside glass very foggy (almost looking really dirty) but that's because they are blasting the AC in the inside so bring a jacket in. It's a typical run down diner that offers solid food and service. read more

Can't go wrong with Waffle House. Easy to park and get in and out of. If you don't see what you want on the menu, don't be afraid to ask. It's amazing what the cooks can do and it's fun just watching them work their magic. Bring some coins for the music box where you can set the tunes for the whole restaurant to enjoy. It's a classic dinner feel that hits the spot each and every time. read more

Let's be honest, if it's late at night and you are here, you my friend have been drinking (or something else, I won't judge). Well here some advice for drunk you from buzzed me.. smothered, covered, chunked. The bacon was bacon-y, the eggs were scrambled nicely. The hash browns however were the star of the meal. Big chunks of ham, lots of cheese and oh so good. The onions could have been a bit more caramelized but that's just my personal preference. The people were friendly and attentive and this was the FASTEST service I've experienced in a long long time. If you are looking for fine dining this is not the place you are looking for. If you want good hot food fast and at a good price (and odd hours of the night) then Waffle House is the way to go. read more

Everything was good. Bacon cooked just right. Grits nice and creamy just like I like it. Waffles wasn't burnt like other Waffle Houses I've been to before. The guy that took my order was very friendly and welcoming. The cook gave me a nice hearty good morning when I walked in. Place was clean. I checked it out before I ordered. Food was cooked very fast. I was glad to get in and out. They even thank me and told me to come back and see them. I'm giving this Waffle House 5 stars and welcoming it to my top 5 Waffle Houses in the country. For one reason and one reason only. FRED... I mean, all of these years, and I have NEVER thought of having a Waffle Taco... and understand, I've ordered waffle BLT's, Chicken Clubs, even a Waffle PB&J...but never a taco. Came in on a Saturday morning around 8:30am. I sat at the bar area. Was approached quickly and my order was taken pretty fast. My breakfast came very quickly also since it wasn't busy yet. I ordered the All Star breakfast and a drink. No complaints on the food nor the service. The place got packed by 9am. My bill with tip came to $14 read more

Went into Waffle House looking for some delicious breakfast and was overlooked by the waitress taking care of the counter. I sat down before the counter was cleaned because they were busy and had no tables. There was another group that came in after we did and also sat at the dirty counter. The waitress cleaned the side where the other group sat took their order and ignored us. I waited about another 5 minutes or so and she just kept ignoring us and the dirty counter. We got up and walked out needless to say I will never go back and will be sending an email to the corporate office so they know how this staff treats people. read more

After waiting 20 minutes, which is normal on a sunday, we got seated. I could feel the tension in the air between all the employees but it was 1pm and i hadn't eaten all day so i was looking forward to having waffle house. When we got our food and took a bite, DIRTY DISH WATER from the sink splashed us and sprayed not only us but all over our food and the table behind us. Obviously we werent going to eat our food becuase it was now soaked in dirty dish water. As we told our waitress , she just looked at us and gave us a rag DIDNT EVEN OFFER TO MAKE US NEW FOOD when she noticed we werent going to eat it. 5 mins later once we realized we werent going to be able to eat, so got up and went to go pay SHE STILL HAD THE AUDACITY to try and charge us 28.00. DO NOT GO TO THIS WAFFLE HOUSE THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE DONT HAVE COMMON SENSE. LEFT MISERABLE & HUNGRY. read more

Tonight after my nieces volleyball game we decided to go get some late night waffles so excited!!!! We walk in and it's colder then a winters titty in here, but we shrug it off and sit at a booth. We take a look at the menu and Angelia greets us...OMLLLL she was so sweet. So then after a while sitting down my niece says I will be right back...she went to the bathroom. She came back in about 2 to 5 minutes, then i decided to use the restroom too to see if it was clean...OMGGGG!! MY NEICE STUNK IT UPPPP!!! These poor people that have to clean that. But anyways we order our food and it was delicious. Then I tell my nice to go pay the bill...never leaving her to do that again..she left her a 15 dollar tip for a 10 dollar bill....What is wrong with herrrrrr!!!!!! Angelia was very happy made her night I am so pissed...made her happy while she made me broke. Anyways good experience would recommend....make sure the bathroom doesn't still stink! read more

This is the best place to eat in Jacksonville. Just because they have fun, and they care. Always cleaning, stirring the gravy, keeping a skillet plate warm with cheese. I go out of my way to come here. And they know the jukebox up and down. You can be yourself at this Waffle House, because they know themselves, too. read more

We haven't been to a waffle house in like 9 or 10 years. This morning my hubby said lets go give it a try and revive an old classic. So we're here and have already ordered I just ordered Hashbrowns with onions topped with cheese with sausage and my hubby ordered a steak well done with smothered and covered hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of toast. Well they have changed A Lot...... meaning the waitress brought out my hash browns with a piece of cheese on the top with No meat... she said it was still cooking... What!!... She brought my hubbys food out without the steak.. I asked for a bottle of water and never got it. Do i asked the waitress can i have my water please after waiting about 10 min after my hubby recieved his coffee.. She told me that they had none cold and had to put it in the fridge to get cold... mmmmmmmmm That don't make no sense.. Workers have to keep telling our waitress to "TIGHTEN UP" even to tell her to give customers simple things like... syrup, and clean the table. One customer had to ask for a towel so he could wipe his seat out because it had waffle pieces and appeared sticky.. a great waitress would have came around on the floor and cleaned the mess herself.. but no she lazily handed him a towel... smdh But she didn't need anyone to tell her to drop off the bill.. She did that quickly... smdh She never checked on is to see how we were doing, never refilled my hubbys coffee. But the cooks were on it. The food was very good. The waitress was BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Would I come back to this establishment... Meh Would I reccomend this establishment... Maybe... Not without explaining our visit first. Went in for something different to do for the first time. The waitress was quick and friendly. I asked for coffee to start, it was warm not even close to hot. Ordered an angus beef and bacon cheeseburger with hashbrowns. The menue advertises it on a bun, it came to me on grilled toast. It was greasy and the bread was burnt. The bacon was burnt. The hashbrowns had cheese on them as requested but the cheese was out of a peel open slice. It was also very greasy and had a burnt flavor. All in all the food flat out sucked. The waitress was fine. There was a mop bucket and mop up against the window next to where people sit at the grill bar. Disgusting. I will not ever recommend this location to anyone and I will never go back even if it was the last place to go. read more

per talena v. bates on 10-27-17 her husband and her were refused service at the waffle house here in orange park fl store # 2063 we were told we could not eat in the establishment due to them being short staffed and not having any clean dishes. however when a white couple came in to eat they were not told the same and was served for breakfast! waffle house this is unacceptable and needs to be address immediately i will not stop until something is done! and no we don't want any free food! repost and share! i refused to be treated any differently because of the color of my skin. race and color are not options we are created how god intended us to be! read more

Really enjoyed my experience here. Zack, the manager, is a nice man and he has a good crew. My first Waffle House experience as I am visiting from California. We waited 10-15 minutes to be seated, which isnt a problem, but the people that came in after us were seated first. We got sat at the counter area with 3 seats, theres 2 of us and we take up the small area thats there. A few minutes into eating, they try to put some other person in with us. So we stacked our plates and left. read more

I have eaten here a few times. By far the best Waffle House in this area. I have always been satisfied with the meals I have ordered and the service has been great. I'm usually in and out within an hour. Not to mention the price is reasonable for those of us on a budget. read more

My wife just got out of her endoscopy, confirming celiac disease, and we were hungry. Didn't realize how difficult it would be to find a place to eat that is truly gluten free. Waffle House seemed like a good guess, with it's open grills. However we had to be "that couple" with the crazy requests. The staff here was extremely helpful and understanding. They went the extra mile to make she the food was cooked on a clean, gluten free, surface. Very nice! read more

This place can be extremely crowded but the food is good and fairly inexpensive. My children and I are not too fond of eating there because the only meat they carry is pork and we don't eat pork. It would be wonderful if they considered that not everyone has the same likes. It shouldn't be difficult to carry chicken and turkey sausage. read more

Burnt food everywhere... Not going to lie it all depends on the time you come.. Some of the servers don't even come back to the table..and don't even give me started when the place actually is busy. I opted for a breakfast bagel sandwich, with bacon, cheese, and egg. The bagel could have been toasted a bit more, for my taste, but I will know to ask next time. The egg and bacon were cooked perfectly. And the sauce was an added flavor to the mix that I enjoyed. Simple, storefront spot, but very clean and welcoming. They have a rewards program as well, and for answering a few questions, got a free bagel as a bonus!

I was very excited tonight because they finally remembered to bring the fries out on a separate basket instead of directly on top of the steak which instantly made them soggy. I HATE soggy fries and always send them back even though I specifically asked for them to be served separately. Tonight they got it right hallelujah! My wife and daughter ordered the Salmon and sweet potato which they loved. Another positive & negative thing that happened tonight; the power went off for here for 5 seconds which cut the music off for 15 minutes. I told my wife "hey we can finally talk and hear each other". The negative was it cut the internet off for a few minutes which caused us to have to wait to pay our bill. As we were leaving and walking out the music came back on; so glad we were leaving! I don't mind music playing but not so loud we can't hear each other. Keep it just below talking level so you can still hear the music and can still hear people talking at your table! Our waitress was super friendly and did a great job taking care of us!
