We arrived about 10 minutes later, but the app never texted or confirmed anything. I'm not sure whether that's my phone or the Texas Roadhouse app, but it hasn't worked right for me lately. When we checked in, the hostess said they were clearing a table and it would be about another 10 minutes. The place was absolutely packed, so I was already questioning that original wait estimate. Somehow, though, we were seated almost immediately. Our server, Vartan, greeted us quickly and had drinks on the table before we knew it. The restaurant was loud and busy, but that's pretty much the Texas Roadhouse environment. My wife ordered a half rack of ribs with a salad and green beans. I decided to try something different and ordered the beef tips over seasoned rice with fresh vegetables. A few mushrooms were a little overcooked or charred, but that may have been intentional. I wasn't a fan of the sour cream added on top, so I scooped it off and moved on with my life. The tableside payment tablet was convenient, especially with our server handling so many tables. There was still a huge line waiting outside when we left, so I was thankful we got seated quickly and enjoyed a good family dinner without spending half the evening waiting.
