You always know what you're getting when you go to WH. Comfort breakfast food. I gave this place 5 stars because the staff was awesome. The lady that sat us and brought out silverware was great. I think it was shift change in Sunday 6-7-24. Because after she left, We had Matthew as our server. He was just as awesome. Great personality and extremely courteous. Our food was delicious even thought the bacon was overcooked, the overall experience really left us leaving this restaurant satisfied. I would like to return next time we're in the area. read more

It's a Sunday morning & I decided to go to Waffle House off Fairmont before I go to church. WH wasn't busy yet. I sit and wait... and wait... and wait... AND WAIT. I saw others come in and be seated, then a waiter comes to each table and takes their order. Meanwhile I'm still waiting to ask if I want a beverage all this time. I finally get up, address the hostess, and say "Well, I guess I'm not receiving service" then leave. Sadly, WH didn't seem to care about my business. Please do better. A waiter missed an opportunity on a good tip & the restaurant missed an opportunity to have my repeat business. read more

Good ol Waffle House. This place will always be a childhood classic to me, perfect for late night or when I was looking for a budget meal. I don't think I've ever had a crispy waffle but I tell you what I'll tear up an All Star Plate any time. I do miss when it used to be $7.25 though lol, good days. Its almost $10 bucks now. Grits always buttered down, bacon extra crispy, hash brown crispy and if you've never had their biscuits and jelly you need to stop playing. The other day I dropped my car next door for a washing and walked on over for some lunch. All the years I've eaten at WH I never thought to order a burger but it is actually really good. I was craving another one the next day lol. Just a simple cheeseburger fully dressed, the meat is nice and charred like they had it on a pit outside lol. Not bad at all. Only thing my man didn't like was they only have hash browns no French fries. Not an issue for me since I love hash browns haha. Love Waffle House even when it gets crazy at night lol. read more

Tried a closer Waffle House after church tonight and sad to say I was disappointed. The Waffle House I usually visit is on Spencer highway about five more minutes away. Went in here with a friend and we got a grilled chicken hashbrown melt bowl, and an all star special with hash browns and sunny side up eggs. Service was good, just like any Waffle House and so was the environment, there were many open and clean seats available. When the food came out the portion size disappointed me compared to what I would get at the other house. It seemed about half of what I would get at the other one, and the waffle for the all star looked sub par. This review is getting a two star due to the food size, as well as quality. Wouldn't go to this Waffle House again. read more

So my wife and I went in on 7/10/23 at 11:30 am to get breakfast. Every single table was dirty. The bar had food debris all over it. No one greeted us or said a word to us We looked for a clean table. When we thought we found one we thought a table was clean I asked my wife.is that one clean? She said no they are all dirty. The staff just looked at her with the most hateful look. There was no sense of urgency and no one seamed to care. We decided to leave at this point and go elsewhere. I am a restaurant manager and I would never allow any of my employees to act like this. Customer service and cleanliness in a restaurant should be the most important things you should focused on. This behavior is unacceptable. This is my favorite place to eat breakfast I know you guys are better than this. I would really like a response. Thank you. read more

While I was waiting on my car to get detailed I noticed there was no one at these location which is always packed. I stepped in got seated and ordered promptly. I got a cheesesteak omelet they got it cooked and to the table in about 5 minutes. It was great, very yummy. I was eating and looking around I noticed how nice this location is for a Waffle House. Asking for no onions on a patty melt- getting onions. 3. Asking for eggs I've hard- getting sunny side up. 4. Only get visited by server once AFTER the food was brought out and one last time to bring the check, when we were not even HALFWAY done with the food. Very poor service. I wish I could provide a wonderful, stellar review to knock your socks off. But seriously, people, this is the Waffle house. If you've ever been to a WH you know the food. Is it bad? Not at all. Will it knock your socks off? Probably not. Since I've adopted a plant based diet I really try to not go to places like this, but occasionally it happens. There I was, staring as a menu that had few healthy plant based options. Well....there was a salad. Anyway, I strayed for a day and had eggs. It would have been nice if there were one other option, but I get it. The eggs were not the best eggs I've eaten, but I will hand it to them, the hash browns are good. The toast was not as good as I could make at home, but when is it? In hindsight, or possibly next time, I should have gotten a pecan waffle with a ridiculous amount of pecans. The server was incredible nice and worked to make sure we were happy with our food and experience. Will I return? Maybe. I may try that waffle with and over abundance of pecans.... read more

This Waffle House has been out preferred breakfast place for many years. We went today for the first time in 4-6 months. The Servers were nice and helpful. Issues with our order were fixed quickly. Issues... We normally have a breakfast bowl with gravy. They didn't have gravy because "they don't sell that much so they just didn't make any..." We had to ask for everything! A spoon for our coffee. Ketchup for hashbrowns. Butter and syrup for our waffle. The waffle was thin and wimpy with a lot of dough around the edge. We were there just after 8am on a Friday and the kitchen area looked like something exploded. LOT's of cleaning needed. Just a really unappealing meal. We will still eat at other Waffle House locations until they all get this way but not this one. Less often because this is the one near us. read more

Worst management and service I ever experienced in any restaurant. How are they going to tell me they don't make basted eggs anymore when I always ordered them like that? So I had no other choice but to ask for over easy eggs and the white was not cooked well it was still wrong so then they gave me over medium eggs and it took forever to get my food back and they still didn't cook it right. I complained with the manager and he just walked away and didn't even say a word. He didn't even discount my food or do anything about it I wasn't looking for a discount all I wanted was at least an apology and he didn't even do that I will never be going there again! read more

We visited this Waffle House location during the Sunday morning rush after dropping off my car next door to get washed. Don't get discouraged by the wait or lines, they have a very efficient system to get you in and out quick. Everyone is very friendly. Waffle House has one thing going for it; Consistency. You can go into any Waffle House and get exactly the same meal. But that's also the bad thing about Waffle House. It's exactly average, nothing more or less. The service is usually average as well, sometimes losing the order completely, or giving you the wrong order. The former happened to me here. While it's not a major inconvenience, it's still mildly irritating to have to wait when you're in a hurry. The Food: I got a waffle (what else would you get here?) and sausage patties. The waffles were hot and had a great texture and flavor, however the sausage was was boring and nearly flavorless. The Verdict: While I will continue to patron Waffle House, it will continue to be average. Enjoy at your own peril! read more

I'm not sure why I fall for this place. In my mind I think "oooh, a diner where I can get a half decent burger and a shake." Well, they don't have shakes. Or fries. And the hash-browns are nothing to write home about. My patty melt was okay, but overall I was unimpressed. If it wasn't for friends who want to go, I probably wouldn't end up at a Waffle House. But every 3-5 years it seems that someone wants to go, and we end up there. At least it's pretty cheap. read more

I usually come in the evening, but I made the mistake of coming in on a busy Sunday morning to meet with some friends. First problem, when I walked in I was ignored by the hostess, but I figured she was busy so I just waited patiently for her to finish whatever she was doing on her clipboard. A couple groups came in behind me and she greeted both of them while still ignoring me and began to sit one. I said, "excuse me, I was waiting here before both of them." She looked at me and said, "I'll sit you next." Then she continues seating the group and walks away from me. I understand making mistakes, so to your hostess: an apology goes a long way, but we didn't even get that. When my friends and I were finally sat, we waited about 20 minutes to even be greeted, a simple task coming from a former server. Food took a long time, but they were busy, so understandable, but all 3 of our waffles were burned. When we were finally able to pay, we waited at the cash register for a few minutes when another guest stood near me at the register. Guess who was helped first? Not us. After the other guest was taken care of, the employee walked away and we stood waiting another few minutes. I thought, whatever, they're busy, so we left the cash on the table and started to walk away. I heard someone calling for us as we were leaving, "can you bring the tickets over here?" Don't know who it was or where we were supposed to bring it because we walked out ignoring them. read more

This is the worst experience ever, and I am actually surprised. We just left from there, it's 4:00 in the afternoon on a Sunday. First things first, we walk in and EVERY table is dirty, with dishes, food, etc. Which is fine, we waited for a couple minutes. No one said anything, like hold on, I'm sorry, nothing. My sister asked how long it would be, and the lady said I am about to clean the tables. While this is all happening, another employee is just standing there, not offering to help.
