We arrived around 11am and they had several customers at booths and one gentleman at the bar. We were greeted immediately and our drink order was taken. We both ordered the All Star and were pleased. While waiting on our order my friend noticed they scored a 96 from the health department, the Cook was clean, her uniform was perfect, her work station was immaculate and she took pride in her work. She even made the comment that you could tell tomato season was coming to an end because the tomatoes she had in her hand to cut up were not the best. SHE CARED. Our food was good, my scrambled eggs were cooked perfect and my friend said his plate was good. To the Owner-The place could use some updates to make it look a little brighter/cleaner. 4 stars for the inside of the building only, no reflection on the service or food. We will be back. The location was clean and the staff was friendly. The food was good. We had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on regular bread and the chocolate chip waffle. I was a bit sad that my waffle wasn't crispier but it still hit the spot. read more

Went there for snack after attending ball..... I have not been to a Waffle House since high school. We went to another one and it was good diner food and clean inside..But we were out this way and I wanted to go to this location.. it was a little busy so we sat at the bar..we ordered then I started to look around and since we were at the bar I could see the kitchen area clearly..I don't know if the other one was this much of a mess but it looked like the waffle station machines had never been cleaned , good thing I didn't want waffles, now I want to go back to the original location to see how theirs look..then we got our food which looked good and was but also all of a sudden there were flies everywhere..it turned me off and I never want to go back to this one even tho the gals there were very friendly it just needs a good cleaning ..oh and the soda machine was leaking all over another thing that made me glad I ordered coffee which she had just made.. read more

My family & I honestly had the weirdest experience here last night. We came around 11/12. When we walked in, every empty table was dirty--cover in dishes, not cleaned at all. Mind you, over half the tables were empty & all were like this. We waited for them to clean off a table. The cook had to come clean it off. Once it was clean, we sat for a good 10 minutes before we were asked what we wanted to drink after a table that got seated after us. The waitress got our drink orders. Came back with a napkin on the back of her writing pad & verified our drinks & wrote them down... The thing is we had to correct her because she had our drink orders wrong. She stated someone in our group got sweet tea & he has to tell her that she ordered coke. She wrote all this down on a napkin..... that was o top of her waitress pad.... that had paper.... she was using it as a clip board, basically. She then goes & makes our drinks and still struggles the whole time to stay focused and make the correct drinks. When she brings us our drinks, she STILL brings the sweet tea instead of a coke for one of our group members. She fixed it but the drink had already hit the table & she had turned her back before we could yell her & when we did, she STILL gave the tea to another table.... She has no clue if he tasted it or not!! I mean he didn't but she didn't know that. We then had to wait another 10 minutes for straws. When she came to take our order finally, we were able to get straws. She then starts taking our order. On a napkin.... on the back of her notepad.... She also took forever to write down our order. Most servers use abbreviations but you could tell she was writing everything out so it took even longer. 3/4 people in our group got their food and 1 had to wait longer for his food. Then, while we were eating, we had a different waitress come up to us and say that our waitress gave her a napkin with our orders to write up for her but she couldn't read it. So we had to tell her what all we ordered. I know that they most likely had just had a rush before we came in.... or at least that's what I'm trying to tell myself was the reason for all the empty tables being dirty but if that is so...: I don't know how our server made it through a rush because she couldn't make it through the 3 tables she had when we were there... I hope that she was just new but either way she should not be working a Friday night..... or even Waffle House at all.... she did not seem like she could keep up at all.... read more

I'm guessing there's been a staff turnover since the last reviews. There were flowers on a table in the entryway (really!) and this location was very clean. He Ofer was our waitress and she was really nice. Our two younger kids got to sit at the counter (we sat in a booth) and they enjoyed the "show." I thought this was the best Waffle House experience I've ever had. Maybe they addressed the past Yelp reviews. read more

The worst waffle house I've been to, i normally don't trip about waffle house with minor issues because its waffle house. But last night just ruined it for me, first off i had to ask for straw multiple times but my cup had brown sludge all inside the bottom so i didn't even bother, i got charged for the sausage that was supposed to come with my all star special, and i had to ask multiple times for my fiancé's waffle and biscuit and gravy, as well as my waffle. We only get one waffle, and when i ask for mine again i get dirty looks and i get it togo. I wont be returning to this waffle house. read more

I cannot believe or fathom with Covid variance being as contagious as they are, how careless the staff at The Waffle House in Robertsdale Alabama has become. I just went in there about 15 minutes ago and absolutely walked back out almost as quickly as I entered. I will never return to Robertsdale ever again. At the cash register where orders are traditionally placed, there were people all around it sitting very closely elbow to elbow. They were not paying for anything and did not appear to be ordering anything. They were just merely sitting there chitchatting. As I walked in the door and saw this off to my right and I decided to walk up to an area where no one was sitting there by the counter at the edge of the counter to my left where the counter and seats co-join. I decided that while I do enjoy freshly prepared food and I do like the flavors of waffle house catching Covid and potentially dying is not worth eating at anywhere! I thought it would be reasonable to stand there and I asked the waitresses to take my order. Since all of the waitresses were standing almost directly in front of that counter at that very spot where I stood and not doing anything just standing elbow to elbow chitchatting, I didn't figure it was all that big of a deal. However when I said excuse me may I place an order please, the one young waitress is very sarcastically said we can't take orders here you have to walk up to the counter. When I told her there was plenty of people standing there and I'm trying to social distance she said but we just can't take orders right here you have to go to the counter. As I told her to never mind she can keep her order apparently the lead waitress said no no no you can take his order right there don't worry about it but by then I was already angry and it was too late. Just for the record you have permanently lost My business at this location, I do intend to post on yelp and any other review form that I can fine, but for your own benefit perhaps you could talk to some of Your Way, To your staff at this location and remind them that not only a social distancing a good idea it's also the law in Alabama and other state as people are frequently contacting Covid from careless practices and dying from Covid. However, do as you wish, but I will never go back to Robertsdale Alabama's Waffle House location. read more
