Best Waffle House I've been to. Super clean and fast. Food was great and staff was excellent!

Easily the best WH I've been to, clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. Right next to the hotel so it's 10/10 quick travel meal

6May 2023 -Waffle house in pooler - A really nice place to get a good waffle near the airport. Waffle House was founded in Avondale Estates, Georgia in 1955, and the chain has since grown to become a beloved staple of Southern dining for many travelers and locals. This location is one of the (over) 2100 locations located in 25 US states. As of 2021, there were approximately 418 Waffle House locations in Georgia, making it the state with the highest number of Waffle House restaurants in the United States. Waffle House is known for its classic breakfast dishes, such as waffles, eggs, and bacon, as well as its famous hash browns, which are available in a variety of styles. The chain is also known for its 24/7 service, which has made it a popular spot for late-night meals and post-partying gatherings. This restaurant is located on the southeast side of the I-95 and Airways Ave intersection. Parking is limited at the location. It is set up like a typical Waffle house with a staff that greets you when you enter. You can eat at the tall counter, low counter, or in the booths to the left and right of the counters. The menu is regular American fare with Eggs, omelets, waffles, and sandwiches. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant was not very crowded when we visited. The place was very clean. The waitress came to take our order quickly. We ordered the waffles (of course) and bacon and drinks. The food came out quickly and tasted very good. The staff was very professional, the price was good and the food was excellent. One unique thing about this restaurant is the view out the back of the restaurant as it is situated on a very pretty lake. A really nice place to get a good waffle near the airport.

Waffle House is always a favorite when I'm in the south and thank goodness my flight was delayed so I could visit the Savannah Airport location before turning in my rental car! Never disappoints, although I always get the same hash browns, cheese and sausage. Life doesn't get better! Service as always = southern charm and they checked on me repeatedly and had a great conversation with staff! Always in love with the Waffle House, no matter what the location! They do everything right'

Dining room full of dirty tables and employees that seem more interested in gossiping with their coworkers than helping customers.

Our food came out timely and was hot. Everything was prepared well and tasted great. Plenty of food on each plate. The children's menu is the best I've seen. Kids got chocolate chip pancakes, potatoes, eggs and bacon. That's a lot of food and they all cleaned their plates. I had the shrimps and grits. It was a large portion and full of flavor. Grits were cream and cheesy, cooked perfectly. Shrimps and gravy were seasoned well. We all truly enjoyed our breakfast.

The food came, I ordered biscuits & gravy with a side of sausage. When served, they had forgotten the sausage so I reminded the waitress. She said "Ok" and left. She returned about 5 minutes later and asked if I wanted links of patties. I replied "patties". Another 5 minutes and the patties appeared. Since I had already completed my meal I told her to disregard the sausage. I ultimately only got offered coffee refill one time. The food was mediocre at best. This was disappointing as I had been looking forward to eating at Metro. I will give them one more shot before I put them in the "DO NOT RETURN" list. The place needs some work...

I was impressed with their menu, which went on & on for many pages, Flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches, Flatbread,, wings, ribs, appetizers, I honestly can't remember it all. The food was decent, but the real issue was the app that allows you to add money to your digital card. Unfortunately, it crashed, and when I approached the desk for assistance, I encountered the worst customer experience I've ever had. The attendant's name was Jaylen. When I asked for help, he rudely instructed me to use the app. I explained that the app was malfunctioning, but he responded with an attitude and clearly didn't want to be there.

The staff that greeted us was very nice and accommodating with our reservation and the time moved quickly to get us seated. The place and the kitchen were extra busy to be expected...The problem I have was with the service... if you have read any of my reviews it has to be rough ..because I am service team defender #1. She made several apologies ...understood... BUT... and this is my problem especially if you have worked on tips and it's not a normal service day... even if the kitchen is backed up - at least keep the contact with your table, water glass and coffee cup filled.. and before we start to defend the service she had 3 tables at the most and we had to ask several times IF we even saw her on the floor... for coffee or water. At times she would just walk by and not even make an attempt to check. Look I get it and I'm not here to bash but when you are spending $$ the wait is easier if you have a full drink and some interaction with the staff. (I don't need to be baby sat) Here's what hurts... we have frequented ABE for over 10 years starting in PCB. After an hour of sitting, the food finally rolled out. The beignets were doughy on the inside. The crab cake Benedict was soggy... the potato's were lukewarm, the grits were good not going to beat everything up and when we could get coffee it was great... I watched her other tables (because I had Plenty of time while staying engaged with my people) and it was obvious they were having the same experience. OK the bail out... will we go back "yes" probably not on a holiday... LOL. It could have been a bad day for her... it could be she's new.. based on their standards... overall for me it was disappointing and not the best experience... what's redeeming is when the mother of your children is gracious and forgiving...
