Worst experience ever at a sub shop. We've been to other Larry's subs and we loved them but this one was a disappointment from the moment we walked in. All the employees were sitting at a table playing cards when we walked in. Subs were ok but not as good as other locations. The store just seems very unkept. No napkins in any of the dispensers on the tables. Drink dispenser was out of most choices. We went with tea and it tasted more like water. The chip dispenser was out of most chips. While we were there they said they were almost out of ham. It appears the owner or manager does not care about their store. We will not be back and would not recommend this Larry's location to anyone. read more

Terrible experience. Understaffed. The manager or owner walked out with a huge line saying "I worked last Saturday all day." - the two girls working were undertrained and moved slow. Took 35 minute from the time we ordered to get 2 basic subs. Half the menu wasn't available. Drink machine out of Diet Coke. Avoid this place. Sandwich was average at best. Walked in at 3:20 and were told we could only order to go because they close at 4. Are you a restaurant or not? Makes no sense. It's not like we walked in right before closing. Place doesn't look particularly well taken care of either. Not worth your time. read more

Now I've said it before, I am PICKY when it comes to my subs but baby this place right here, on point!! I typically stick with Baldinos because they never do me wrong but a coworker was treating me to lunch and I didn't want to be too much so I agreed to Larry's. I am so glad I did it. This sub was so freaking good. A lot of sub places like to go light on the toppings but not Larry's. Personally, I like heavy lettuce & onions on my subs but for some reason the "artisanal" sub planes give the bare minimum. I expect light meat but lettuce is like .10¢ for the head. Don't do me like that I ordered the chicken Philly and it was delicious! I ate my entire sub & the chips which my tummy regretted afterwards because I was STUFFED, but it was so good I couldn't stop. I skipped on the Italian dressing only because I don't like soggy bread and I feel like ordering a sub with oil & vinegar and Italian dressing does just that. Clearly I'm a huge fan of this place. So check them out. You won't be disappointed. Great prices & even better food. Plenty of options for everyone. Apparently they even have lunch specials so ask about that before ordering. read more

We came to this area for Verizon Wireless and worked up an appetite while activating our prepaid data line and purchasing a hotspot. Looking for a quick meal before heading downtown for a spooky ghost trolley tour, we settled on what seemed like a run of the mill sandwich shop nestled behind Verizon Wireless. What we found was a wonderful sandwich shop run by an equally wonderful proprietor. We informed him we were vegetarian and he enthusiastically created some delicious sandwiches and suggested sauces to elevate them, while dispensing numerous recommendations for places to see in Savannah. (As we are tourists.) We've never had a better time at a sandwich shop. What began as a utilitarian meal stop turned into a revitalizing social interaction and fulfilling sandwiches. We'll. I'll update later but I'm a bit pissed. I checked in, and got a pop up offering 10% off a combo meal. The owner (I presume) looked at it and said, "I don't know what that is and proceeded to ring me up full price. The sandwich was great as always here and it came out lighting fast. My turkey sub, drink and chips were less than $9. I'm not sure if I miss understood but my intent was to order just the sub and water but I think the owner was confused about my coupon and wanted to get through the line of people. It almost felt like the soup nazi on Seinfeld So.. the coupon issue, chips and drink that I did not want but apparently ordered but the sandwich was good. I'm giving it 3 stars and that's mostly for the sandwich. Ease of ordering brought it off of a 5 star review. .... Thanks for the response. However, I was just in town on business and I don't foresee myself getting back to Savannah any time in the near (or distant) future. Harding out of town and the boys wanted subs! Found this a couple miles down from the Fairfield Inn Mid-town. In a strip mall past the car dealerships. Local place quick service and super fresh subs. The menu has tons of options hot and cold. The sub rolls are super fresh and toasted to perfection. Meat sliced as needed. Defiantly a great find on our way out of town. I don't know how this place has a 4.5 rating. I just moved from Macon to Savannah. I ordered a large cheese steak and 1/2 of a big one. Since we're in this Cora virus, I called it in. My big one had almost zero meat on it and no toppings what so ever and the cheese steak was the worst tasting I ever had. I was never asked what I wanted on it. He is certainly the first thing you notice when you walk in the door, but what stays with you when you leave is the taste of warm, toasty bread, delicate, melted cheese, a meat of your choice, and assorted vegetables. In all seriousness, this restaurant has great subs with plenty of options to satisfy any sandwich fantasy you may have. The workers are friendly and helpful, and more than happy to guide you through the variety of choices. I absolutely love me some Larry's Subs. I particularly gravitate towards their chicken salad each time. Had never been to this location, but stopped in for a quick bite in between appointments. I won't return. One employee wasn't overly friendly while the other was all up in my six month old's face. Then there was almost no chicken salad on my sandwich. Literally looked like a thin smear of mayonnaise with two small pieces of chicken, large sections having none at all. I said something, they acted shocked and confused, and added a little more to only half of my sandwich. The subs aren't cheap to begin with and little was done to make it right. A sad and wimpy meal for this breastfeeding mama. I won't return. read more
