    Two all star meals
    Erin H.

It was made very fast and the staff was kind. By far the best waffle house I've ever been to!!! Our meals were only $12 each and we got so much and I was able to swap hashbrowns for an extra egg!!

We planned our trip and were excited to eat there until the employee told us not to use the outlet, for some reason. When we asked kindly if there was a reason why we couldn't, she rudely told us to leave. Terrible service from an employee who clearly didn't want to do her job.

I can't remember the last time I went to a Waffle House. It was after 10 on a Saturday, and I didn't want to battle the drunk people at other late night spots.....so we wound up here. The staff and customers were very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and not very busy during the time we were there. I got the 2 Egg Breakfast, and my husband got the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Hasbrown Bowl. Both were great, and everything was as expected. We ordered a 2nd Hashbrown Bowl for our son to take home. The only thing I was surprised about is that the menu was MUCH smaller than I remember. There was time that I used to go to WH after going out every weekend, and I always got a ham & cheese omelet. They no longer have omelets, and I overheard them saying that they can no longer make off menu items. That is kind of a bummer.

Waffle House has a special place in my heart because it has been there for me during some drunken messy times and this particular one right next to Ybor City has surely done just that. This location has helped not only me, but many other drunks find their twilight munchies to help sober up and they do so with friendly service and without judgement (or at least I hope so *guilty smile*). There is something about the greasy, diner aspect of Waffle House that is comforting because you know that it will be there for you at a last resort and I appreciate that. It's a sanctuary for the drunks like me no matter what hour of the day that I am drunk.

Where else in the world can you feed five adults a full breakfast meal for $60? This was my first trip to Waffle House and it was excellent. The food was great, the restaurant was clean, and the service was fantastic. Nothing like that southern hospitality. Brenda was such a sweet soul! Thank you Brenda!

We are in Tampa for a week on vacation and have bever been here before. This morning we called and ordered a takeout of 2 All-Star specials this morning. This is their most popular meal. We figured nothing could go wrong. Haha. This was the soggiest breakfast I have had in a long time. The eggs were runny with a puddle of egg whites flioating in the middle. The toast was thrown on top of the eggs so that one of the eggs yolks was now broken and already spilt. I love having the yolk to spread over my hashbrowns but instead it soaked thru 2 pieces of toast! Grrr. Hashbrowns were undercooked and soggy as if removed from the freezer and then quick cooked and thrown in the container with the other items thrown on top of them. The ham was not involved in the mix and it was really quite good. The Waffle needed another minute in the waffle maker as it was undercooked too. Sad breakfast for me but the dogs loved it.

All Star Special with added onions and chocolate chips

Came in on a Wednesday morning and was surprised on how welcoming and friendly the staff were. I got the All Star Special with scattered and smothered hash browns and chocolate chips on my waffle. The highlights of this meal were the waffle and the biscuit. The chocolate chips on the waffle were really good and not too sweet, but it definitely is for those looking to indulge. The biscuit was buttery, moist, and nicely toasted. I was slightly disappointed by the famous hash browns because they were not as crispy and warm as I would've liked. Overall, does the Waffle House serve the best breakfast you'll ever have? No. But will you get a solid breakfast at an affordable price with great staff to serve it to you? Yes.

I usually f*cling hate Waffle House because 9/10 out of ten they are dirty AF. This one gets an A+ from me. Fresh, fast, and friendly.

Getting charged more because you're not allowed inside. Amazing. What a joke of a company

They added the stupid takeout windows (that staff ignores) like the west shore location. Don't take orders over the phone and website ordering doesn't work. What has happened to this company????

Amazing and yay they opened today!

There is never a time I walk out of Waffle House and don't want to return. Yes, I get frustrated because I order my cheese omelette with extra light oil and they walk 6 steps from me to yell out the order and say cheese omelette. I sometimes have to get up and walk 6 steps to remind them...and it's a hassle when the cook doesn't remember and I send it back and they say it can't be done, then I tell them how it's done at the other Waffle House...then I get my omelette...perfectly done - low oil! Yay! So, it always comes out as a wonderful food experience! The waffles are the best in town, hands down. Why? Because you can always count on them. There is very rarely a change in the way they're made because it's a timer. The only problem I've ever run into is if it sits and gets cold and I ask for a hot one. Some people say, what can you expect? It's Waffle House! I say, I'm paying for food and I don't care if it's inexpensive or expensive, it should be hot. So, don't ever settle for cold food! The parking lot at the Westshore location is VERY TIGHT! It's best to be choosy on when you go and just wait for breakfast until...after breakfast time! Or eat with the early birds!! The location on Columbus Ave. and Hillsborough Ave. have great big parking lots AND they both have been trained, along with the Westshore location, to make really great low oil omelettes! ;-D These locations are extremely clean and so are the bathrooms, by the way. One thing I'd like to point out: after Hurricane Irma, the Waffle House Corporation send down entire staff from northern states like Virginia in 3-6 week shifts to cover for Florida workers that had to deal with their homes and families during that time. It was amazing and they were so kind and thoughtful to us when we were in there. Kudos to Waffle House Corporation!!

This location really exceeded my expectations! Super friendly, clean and seems quite well managed. Try the dark roast coffee! The All-Star special was very yummy, as was the Sausage, egg & cheese hashbrown bowl. An institution this chain!

Waffles was amazing I had to stop while I was eating to take a picture! It was so good

It made us feel truly welcomed and also appreciated. They were genuinely nice and made us feel at home though it was a restaurant. If you want a delicious and very elevated cocktail this is the place to go. My husband got a Paloma and I got a lavender gin drink. Both were very well made and beautifully presented As far as the food goes, we got the feta honey cheese pie which was very new to us but was excellent. It was very crispy and flaky on the outside with sweet sticky honey drizzled on top but then warm, melt in your mouth cheese in the middle. The greek salad was very fresh and delicious. We love the potato salad core. We also got the Greek sampler that had a lovely and light feta cheese spread with hummus and tzatziki with peppers and red onions. Very tasty and delicious. It came with a side of pita bread. The main entree we got the Chicken Ala Mykonos Dinner. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The sauce on the orzo was creamy but light. Everything worked well together and was perfectly balanced. We were so stuffed we brought home three boxes of food. When we were leaving Nick offered us two biscoff desserts to go. They looked so delicious we had to try a sample of it when we got home even though we were completely stuffed. The dessert tasted like a light version of a biscoff cookie. Not too sweet, very soft, and little firmer than pudding. We've never had anything like it but it was delicious Overall it was a great experience and we will certainly be back

I'll start by saying the two people with me had Greek dishes, Chicken Naousa and Chicken Souvlaki, and both had positive things to say. If we return someday I will go Greek, as I found my burger a little dry and kind of a challenge. My choice was their Dallas BBQ Cheeseburger with bacon, which I asked to be cooked medium. My plate was full with the burger itself, fries, and separately the usual burger toppings. With the onion rings and the bacon strips, I decided to not try to assemble with the toppings but just include those as I ate. The slowness of the meal was noticeable, I started with a side Caesar Salad, which took about 20 minutes to arrive.

A lot of people bring their children here and it makes sense that they're here early since children wake up early. They also have a really cute treasure box with prizes for the kids, so if I was here with my family, I probably would bump this up a star. However, I was here with my husband and our couple friend. The decor is beautiful. I love how bright and cheery all the decorations are. Parking can get difficult, it seems like they have just enough parking for the amount of people there. The food is what I found just OK. I got their yogurt bowl, which I guess I can't really expect to be wow'd by a yogurt bowl, but I found it to be fine. My options were limited since I don't eat pork and a majority of their meat is pork. They do have a chicken sausage, but looking at pictures. It looks like the casing may possibly be pork so I decided to avoid it just in case. I also got their cold brew, it didn't come with any cream or sweetener or anything to add. I probably should've asked for some, because I found the cold brew to just be OK. My husband got the chicken pot pie and said he expected more chicken in it. I think our overall feel of the food was it was fine, but not great. I won't run to come back here, but I also wouldn't be opposed to someone wanted to. I think that's the definition of three stars for me. Price is super reasonable, this meal will not break the bank.
