Waffle House is Waffle House. You know what you are gonna get. The menu is pretty streamlined and easy to follow. Coffee is smooth and the sweet tea is hella sweet. It's pretty nondescript inside Food is simple but filling. Service is friendly and helpful They are 24 hours

Wow! Yummy! I grew up going to Waffle House whenever we would vacation down south, especially Florida. I loved the waffles and grits so much. I have not been to a Waffle House in decades and finally, I am back. I guess I never thought to road trip over here, even though we are in Toledo for activities all of the time, but my child wanted this to be a birthday meal and I was totally down for the experience. This is an adorable location that gives nostalgia vibes, it seems like it has not changed since I last visited a location, and I love that! The place was very busy, not too many spots, people seem to love it here. The service was good, friendly, and efficient. I also love the prices, they also did not seem to change since I visited last, bonus! That way, we could order everything! I actually did not know until someone told me you could get your hash browns so many ways, honestly, I always just got waffles and grits. But today I tried them with onions, ham, and cheese, amazing! The grits were as good as every, so salty and buttery. I loved the pecan waffles, since I would get them in Georgia and that is what they were known for. So good and satisfying. We also got some toast, simple and delicious, and my husband got a side of grilled chicken, really good! Get that, for real! Now that I know, I am coming back soon. I need to try their lunch dinner food. We also got a carry out waffle covered in chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and blueberry nougats, so good. I really enjoyed that too.

Waffle House restaurants are a no-frills, no-gimmick establishment that serves traditional American breakfast and non-breakfast meals. I like going to Waffle House for their breakfast items (waffles, eggs, sausage/ bacon, etc.), but for my visit to this establishment, I opted for their burgers and chili option as I had not had those before. However, waffles were ordered by others in my party. All the food was made to order and served hot. We sat by the kitchen counter for quick service. My burger and chili were good, and they hit the spot. We ordered a couple of different types of waffles (chocolate chip and blueberry kinds). The flavor of these waffles was good, but the texture could have been better. They seemed a bit undercooked compared to how I have had (nice golden brown) at other Waffle Houses in the past. Overall though, we liked our food. We received good service. The staff members were courteous and friendly. The menu had a good variety, and the prices were reasonable. I would recommend going to a Waffle House if you enjoy having a good, simple, inexpensive breakfast meal or a burger and chili with a side of waffles as dessert.

I'm a huge fan of Waffle House, especially for their breakfasts that I love so very much. I used to eat at them on the regular when I lived in Arizona, but we don't have them in Michigan, so I haven't been to one in ages. As part of my little getaway, breakfast here was written in stone. Especially since the whole lockdown has been lifted, I am more than ready to sit down and eat at a restaurant more than ever before. Pulling up, it was early enough on a Saturday morning that the place wasn't super busy. My date and I got a seat right away and they were doing social distancing by seating people at every other table and booth. They also had curtain dividers as well between the seats and the servers were wearing face masks to boot. Due to the corona virus, they did not have physical menus, we had to scan a QR code at our table for a menu. I already knew what I wanted, but reviewed the menu on my phone to see if any changes had been mde to their menu since I had last eaten at one. (no changes that I could see, which is fine by me.) Our waitress was young and nice, but not the most attentive. I will chalk it up to her being out of practice, but one of us had to constantly get up and ask for basic things like salt, extra water, more coffee and a few other items. It got annoying after a while. She wasn't bad, but never really bothered to circle back, like ever. Plus, there was just 3 tables seated with 4 of us eating in, so it's not like they were slamming busy. Whatevers. Anyway, the food came out and it was as good as I remember. My date got a really nice big breakfast with all the fixings, and I got my usual 2 eggs scrambled, hash browns with cheese and cinnamon raisin toast with the apple butter spread. We both were loving the food here and it really hit the spot. Everything was as good as I remember, and made the lack of service seem minimal. Overall, this location has it going on. Not all Waffle Houses are created equal. Some lack in certain departments and don't deliver the whole experience. Others do it right like this place and make the time worthwhile. Overall a positive experience and I would dine here again in a heartbeat.

Just stopped to check this place out on my way home back to Michigan. I was very surprised at how small the menu was, but what I did order was tasty. Both staff were very nice and friendly. I guess if you want a quick cheap breakfast, check this place out.

So good, yet so bad.

Waffle House, oh Waffle House, how I love thee. Hahaha.. I'm crazy, I know. But whenever I'm in Ohio, I have to have breakfast at the Waffle House before heading back to Michigan. Did you know that FEMA actually has something called the "Waffle House Index"? It's used by the agency to determine the effect of a storm and the likely scale of assistance required for disaster recovery. No lie. Look it up. I just recently learned of this myself, and it blew my mind. FEMA says that if a Waffle House is closed, things in the area must be really, really bad - like a large scale disaster (or perhaps a pandemic?) Anyway, I digress. What can I say about the food, except that I love it. It's horrible for your body, but good for your soul (and your hangover). I've never had their waffles, though, because I'm all about the hash browns - and on this last trip, I discovered the hash brown bowl - everything I love piled into a bowl of decadent high cholesterol deliciousness. Yolo, baby, see you in the cath lab! And where else besides Walmart will you see such a microcosm of society? The people watching here is on point, and always interesting. I'm sure that these awesome servers could tell some stories, and I'd love to hear them.. So yeah.. I may be a foodie, but I gotta have my Waffle House :)

So many hash brown choices!

This was my first time at a Waffle House! I know, right? I saw a ton of them when we drove to Knoxville last summer but we never actually stopped at any, so I was excited to stop at one in Toledo when we were in the area this week. Their menu is pretty basic. My boyfriend got the double waffle with peanut butter chips, and I got a hamburger with hash browns. You can add whatever you want to the hash browns, a la carte, so I added mushrooms and onions, and they were definitely the star of the meal. My boyfriend also ordered some sort of sweet tea that they only have there, I tried a few sips and it was pretty good. Not a bad experience for my first time at Waffle House and I would definitely stop in again when I see one.

My all time favorite place to eat, wish we had one in Michigan! Fast friendly service. My go to are the grits with cheese, a waffle, hash browns and eggs. Everyone is always friendly, there's never any drama when I go.

The menu has a wide range of options to choose from We got the ham & greyere omelette and added spinach which was one of the best omelettes I've had. The combo was a perfect mix of cheese with the saltiness and flavor of the ham. We also got the avocado toast with the basted egg which was very fresh. They used some very fresh avocados, it seems they used the whole avocado cause we surely weren't lacking. The biscuits and gravy were extremely good. The biscuits had a slight crunch and were freshly made. The turkey gravy was flavorful and light The drinks are premade but also very well done. Slightly on the sweeter side but still well done The restaurant was packed with a 15-20 min wait but there's a community table that we sat at and we were seated immediately, fun hack for couples. Only one other person sat at the table with us so it was like we had to it ourselves, though we wouldn't mind chatting to random strangers. We love this place and will be back

I was told they don't take reservations but that we could sign in to the waitlist. When we got in there was nobody under our group's name.. not sure if we didn't do it right but was a little confused by that. Either way, we were able to get a table right away, a nice booth in the back at that. It's kid friendly too which is always a plus. There is so much deliciousness on the menu it's great! There is something for everyone and all of it tastes great. I will say the chickichanga I had was a bit spicy but still really good. Also, you have to try the different drinks they have! I got the kale tonic and caramel crunch coffee, both AMAZING! Although if you're lactose intolerant I'd ask for dairy free milk and if you're not into sweet stuff this is probably not for you. I was a little disappointed in the waitress. She was super kind and personable but I felt like she didn't ask enough questions, like when I asked for the coffee she never asked what milk I wanted (I should've clarified but still). I also felt like she didn't show herself enough. It wasn't terribly busy so I felt she could've done better. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

When I came in there was no one at the front entrance so I proceeded to the please seat me sign. I literally stood there longer than it took my food to come out. There were maybe 10 tables. Still work to be done here. Smaller than the old location with tables and booths all within view as you stand there. I was ready to order by the time the server made it to my table to take my drink order and I'm one to waffle over my orde for a bit. Friendly server and efficient once she got started. Not sure if I expected a honey taste or a typical flaky crust taste what I didn't expect was a complete void of any taste at all. The chocolate peanut butter pie was a bit different had a basic chocolate pudding taste but lacking a huge chocolate flavor like the deep flavor in the vanilla version, shockingly it was lacking was an overall peanut butter flavor while eating the pie unlike its vanilla counterpart where every bite had the PB flavor prevalent in every bite the chocolate version the PB was glaringly absent a big disappointment, the crème topping was balanced and pleasant but thick dominating the flavor of this pie - again the crust however was surprisingly bland and tasteless. Researching menus and the pie history I believe the way it used to be done and now has changed in the past the crème topping was 1/2 the thickness and the PB combo pies had a distinct PB layer between the flavored bottoms and the crème toppings that are lacking in current versions. Past crusts were distinct thickness approx twice the thickness as current versions and a whole different color much browner which would indicate it would have the "flaky" texture you'd expect from their style of pies which currently completely lack any real texture and:or flavor...perhaps it's my batch perhaps I'm being too picky I'm not a pie eater per say but I do know my crusts and what to expect out of a beloved establishment with a rich history in pie making - remember your roots and what made you famous to begin with all the good service in the world won't win you new customers with these pies unfortunately - sadly I cannot recommend these pies for dessert it pains me to write this because I was so happy to see them rebound after the fire - was my first visit as well adding to my disappointment my mum raved about them so expectations were high but alas they failed every level this particular visit - added the picture from your own menu of what I was expecting for visual representation - bring back the past flavors and flaky crust PLEASE!!!
