    Pecan waffle

It's Waffle House! We got exactly what we expected and hoped to repeat since we rarely come across one as they are not in our area. Perfect pecan waffle, tasty sausage and yummy large orange juice My husband enjoys their hash brown's and my daughter likes their grits. This WH had great service- friendly and quick.

Breakfast bowl with bacon and egg. They also have a cheese option also

This restaurant gets some bad reps and some call it the Awful house. It is a reliable tasty spot for me. I have had the waffles here but my favorite is the hashbrowns. I love the fun names of scattered, smothered, covered and diced of the past. My new favorite is the breakfast bowl with eggs, hashbrowns and bacon. I really like the down to earth friendly hard working people you meet here. I have been to this chain in many states, many time frames over many years and have never had a bad plate if food. Although not in Michigan, I'm grateful knowing when the hankering comes whether on the road or on a road trip, it is always there. This visit was after a zoo close to the Ohio border and breakfast for dinner. My kids have been multiple times as well as a few friends. The cook and the waitress both were great in this location

In today's new normal mode, people just need to be mindful really. If you want your patrons to play ball. You might as well hire people that are willing to follow the guidelines as well. Servers were definitely wearing their masks correctly. Noses and mouths were fully covered, but the cooks were a different story. Two of the cooks, male and female had their noses hanging out of their face masks. Possibly spreading their lung droplets everywhere in the enclosed area. Hopefully they weren't sick or asymptomatic, because I really dont want a repeat of contracting the Corona virus. Please hire people who are willing to follow the guidelines. This is extremely unacceptable. It's an automatic 1 star rating. The extra star is for the stellar service we recieved from our server. Food is amazing, but my peace of mind is shattered. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

I'd never been here before today, and always wanted to try it. Was traveling through Ohio and it was on the way so we stopped- although it was much different than I expected- it was good! I don't know why I was expecting a fancy waffle place- but I was Cheap, quick, greasy food. General breakfast diner options with an emphasis on i and waffles. Waffles were very basic but still really good, hash browns had a lot of add-on options for .50 cents each. Family of 3 ate for $20! One thing I didn't like- our waitress was leaving for the day when we were & we handed her the tip we left but she said to give it to another worker who took over her section. I don't understand why she didn't get the tip since she took care of us the entire time.

    The sign

I have been to Waffle house a variety of times and every time I get the best service this place makes me believe heaven is a real place on earth the hashbrowns are out of this world including the waffles obviously

Can't believe I live under an hour from a Waffle House! This was my first time at a Waffle House, and it did not disappoint. I got a chocolate chip waffle, which was great, and cheesy hash browns, which were even better. I will order the exact same thing probably every time I'm at a Waffle House in the future. Will definitely stop by again when I'm out of state.

If you haven't ate at Waffle House before, here's a little glimpse. It's a little over priced for very basic small portioned food. Hamburgers are the size of McDonald's cheeseburgers . Hash browns are flat and straight to the point , keep the salt close cause you'll need it. Bland is the word for what everything tastes like. It'll settle your craving for food, but as far as satisfying you also, I wouldn't count on it. Environment is old, cold diner truck stop style. Someone's always cleaning something in the House. I got the bacon cheeseburger this time with an added egg to add some sort of liquid to this dry stack of goods. The 'waffle house sauce' they offer isn't half bad. It's like Big Mac sauce with a kick. You'll also need to ask for a few refills with them Ice packed small cups, but grab the waitress while you can, cause you may not see her till it's time to head out, all in all of you've never gone, you gotta go once. But after that, I say stop in .... When absolutely nothing else is available.

This place is really hit and miss. When they get it right, they knock it out of the park, but that might be only 30 percent of the time. Getting a crispy (not doughy, not burnt) waffle is something of a rarity, at least on the first try. What is even more frustrating is when a waitress puts the under done waffle on the table in front of me, and says: "that's not crispy, is it?" ... if you know it isn't, WHY SERVE IT? When you send it back, the replacement is often borderline burnt. Seems like the cooks can't get their head around the concept of anything between doughy and burnt. Sad thing is, I have eaten here before and had great food. Just wish it was consistent. Toast is nothing more than warm bread. The decaf coffee is rarely fresh. Hard to get consistently crispy hash browns. The servers are almost always attentive and pleasant ... not sure what the disconnect is between them and the cooks. I know this is "just" a Waffle House, but I know how good they can be, so I'm not going to give up on them ... yet.

Either way, we were able to get a table right away, a nice booth in the back at that. It's kid friendly too which is always a plus. There is so much deliciousness on the menu it's great! There is something for everyone and all of it tastes great. I will say the chickichanga I had was a bit spicy but still really good. Also, you have to try the different drinks they have! I got the kale tonic and caramel crunch coffee, both AMAZING! Although if you're lactose intolerant I'd ask for dairy free milk and if you're not into sweet stuff this is probably not for you. I was a little disappointed in the waitress. She was super kind and personable but I felt like she didn't ask enough questions, like when I asked for the coffee she never asked what milk I wanted (I should've clarified but still). I also felt like she didn't show herself enough. It wasn't terribly busy so I felt she could've done better. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They used some very fresh avocados, it seems they used the whole avocado cause we surely weren't lacking. The biscuits and gravy were extremely good. The biscuits had a slight crunch and were freshly made. The turkey gravy was flavorful and light The drinks are premade but also very well done. Slightly on the sweeter side but still well done The restaurant was packed with a 15-20 min wait but there's a community table that we sat at and we were seated immediately, fun hack for couples. This truly a wonderful experience for all ages and varying tastes. A tremendous and welcome change we've come to endure from other dining experiences. Here the customer is THE primary focus from the moment you walk in til you walk out the door - BRAVO!! The food, had the Mayberry Mega where you pick your 6 omelette ingredients. Normally a crap shoot in most diners but here it was a home run. The ham and sausage were nice size chunks, juicy, and full of flavor. Spinach, onions, and tomatoes were fresh and perfect sizes and good quantities for the dish. That leaves the cheese my one "ding" would have preferred shredded cheese vs sliced cheese because of flavor and texture - but it didn't take away from a wonderfully prepared omelette made and severed with genuine care. Potatoes were frozen BUT they were prepared exceptionally well for dinner dare they were soft and cooked with a nice crisp. It was a superb surprise and a very welcome one. The coffee was fresh and hot and the standard "acidic" coffees you'd find in most diners anywhere, but overall inviting enough to have a few cups for a discerning coffee "snob" like me. Place was PACKED so all tables and booth were full, but they have a nice counter service with plenty of seating and space to move and eat and be very comfortable for your meal. What's fascinating is the incredible teamwork and collective desire to ensure your time, experience, and meal are spent enjoying your company and food not staring at your watch wondering about time. The entire restaurant was seated, served, and cleared with clean tables within the time I had to get and consume my own breakfast. So if you see a packed house on your arrival and don't desire that counter seat fear not - in this home environment your wait will be short and your day will lose no valuable time - well worth some minimal patience - you'll be glad you did. Your greeted as soon as you walk in by one or more of the extremely hardworking waitresses with a smile - your also sent off with a "Thank you. have a Good Day" by one more waitresses as you leave - both excellent touch of service class enhancing customer experience. I've never seen a more well-run diner or any restaurant from the waitresses to the cooks to the dishwashers the teamwork, attention to details, customer satisfaction, and to the incredible cleanliness of the restaurant despite the constant flow of customers - I've never seen a restaurant so clean and kept so clean the out the day. So what are you waiting for come to Mayberry where a warm greeting, clean home, exceptional food are calling YOUR name today...I'm returning perhaps I'll see you there....Bon Appetite!!

The store's decor was mostly mom-n-pop nice, attractive and probably comfortable (I did takeout). The carpet was worn and maybe a bit grimy. I'm thinking that's because of the breakfast and lunch crowd the restaurant attracts, many of whom have been working hard at jobs that get their shoes dirty. No points off for that. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were good, and the portion they served me was just right for a hungry driver. Parking was easy and the store was easy to find and get to. Overall: fine. I was recently at the Secor Rd location with my mom for a late brunch. Our server was very friendly, nice and it was her second week on the job. From my prior experiences at the Central Rd Scramber's, I would order an omelette that came with potatoes, toast (which I always decline) and an additional side. It didn't occur to me that the Secor Rd Scrambler's franchise would be any different. I ordered my usual omelette with spinach, tomatoes and portobello mushrooms. When asked for my side, I selected the fresh fruit. I was asked for another side and ordered pancakes that I knew my mom would enjoy taking home. My mom ordered three eggs over easy with two sausage patties, pancakes and a fruit salad. While waiting for our orders to be prepared, it occurred to me that I wasn't asked about which potatoes I wanted. When our orders were served, I mentioned to our server that there weren't any potatoes. She said she would put in an order of potatoes and bring them out. There was no discussion about price. My mom enjoyed her meal and I enjoyed mine as well, except that I noticed there was far less spinach than usual. I didn't mention it to our server. The omelette was tasty; the fruit salad was fresh; and the potatoes that came later were plentiful and not greasy. For drinks, my mom ordered coffee and I ordered an Arnold Palmer (iced tea and lemonade). I finished my drink and wasn't offered a refill but also didn't ask. Since drinks these days run $3.99, usually the server would pretty promptly bring a refill without the need to ask. Since I realize our server was new, it wasn't a big deal. When the bill came, I was surprised to see the charge of approximately $43 before tip. In reviewing the bill, there was a charge of $4.99 for the potatoes that normally came as a side with an omelette. There was also an upcharge for the pancakes side. When I inquired about these unexpected charges, our server said she would discuss it with her manager. Upon returning, our server informed me that the manager agreed to take $1 off. To me, the $4.99 potatoes should have been comp'd as the usual omelette side. My mom didn't want me to make a fuss, so I just paid the bill but left feeling that it wasn't fair. Given that our server was new, I didn't blame her at all but did feel that the manager missed an opportunity to come out to speak with us and take more than $1 off the bill. While I might return to this Scrambler's due to its convenient location, I would be cognizant of the new charges for sides which would have otherwise been included in the brunch entree price. I also want other customers to be aware to ask the price of sides even if they are presented as part of the order. Food was overall good but the bill seemed overpriced and irked me.
