Service was fine but sadly that's not enough. I was just pretty disappointed in the buckwheat waffles. They almost had a, microwaved eggo texture to them, just soft and mushy all the way around. They were out of every meat except patties which were fine, but the orange juice was gross. I even asked if it was like tampico and she said no, it's good. Sure enough it tasted just like tampico. So, I cant say the food is anything to write home about. 14 bucks for a soggy waffle, two eggs and one little sausage patty. That seems pretty expensive to me for a less than average meal. read more

We had a few different servers between the time we sat down and ordered it was not busy but the servers seemed very confused and therefore rude. The lady serving us spent most of her time talking to her friend in the booth next to us. Foods good but I'd suggest you take it to go. read more

This is a nice little spot in Prescott, AZ, mostly locals. The place looks small but can hold a lot of folks. Food is good, regular size portions, nothing huge. My only request is that the owner please speak to your staff regarding putting on a smiling face and look at your customers when you talk to them. At least pretend you like them. We've been going to the Waffle Iron for years with the in-laws. I can't figure out why that place is always chosen. Next time, I'm going to suggest a different breadkfast spot! I agree with many of the comments posted. Rude waitstaff, terrible coffee, less than average breakfast food and prices that are higher than the typical breakfast dive cafe. If the food was great or unusual, I wouldn't mind paying, but again, it's not great food. I agree with another cmment about the gravel lot. It's terrible! I do not know about breakfast, but we ate there around 1:30 PM and the food was sad. Open face hot beef, mashed potatoes, both covered with a brown gravy on white bread and a side bowl of green beans. Sound good? The gravy was salty the potatoes were tasteless and the beans and beef were right out of a can. Not worth a second visit. read more

Went there today for breakfast because the wait was too long at Lone Spur. Granted it was super busy, not one person seemed happy to be working there. The food was definitely not worth the wait. My husband had two eggs over easy which looked like they had been through hell and back. He had a small portion of of potatoes and his toast was cold. The biscuits and gravy were just alright. Will not be returning. Don't waste your time trying this place. My son had to take my husbands coffee mug up for a refill since our food server was not on point and the manager seemed annoyed with my son. Get it together people. The food was actually really good i had the corned beef hash with eggs and hash browns but the service was horible. The only one who was friendly was the host but the server was not friendly at all. This place was dirty and uninviting, the waiters were not very nice. In the crack of the cushion in the booth there was food bags and garbage in there! It was super cluttered by all the pictures on the wall! Plus the food wasn't even that good! My daughter ordered a grilled cheese, she said it was good but how can you mess up a grilled cheese? My husband got some platter of eggs (he didn't like it)! Usually great service and food. But today we walked in with coffee we had bought down the road, and I believe it was the owner who was supposed to greet us but instead she glared us down and very bluntly said "No outside drinks" very rudely. So we turned around to leave and she said well you can pour it into our coffee cups. So we sit down and she brings us the cups and stares at us. Then, literally all she said was "POUR" like she wasn't going to leave the table til she saw us pour our coffee into her coffee mugs. So we do as she says and then she scoops up our Togo cups and throws them out. It was really awkward and kind of comical how persistent she was about our "outside drinks". I was not thrilled with the dark and dingy rooms. It needs to be revamped but keep the western decorations. The service was good. It was cold inside and the other patrons had their jackets & coats on. The patrons told the waitress that it was always cold in there in the winter and they were the regulars. She seemed surprised.
