Service was below average. It's called Waffle House but menu has a small section of waffle choices. Fruits on top of waffles or not fresh they're preserved. Glad this restaurant opened. There are great ethnic food type restaurants near, but other than Denny's (also good) there is no other sit down American type diner in the area. The service was excellent if somewhat inexperienced but they had opened only days before. With "Waffle" in the name, I expected there would be several waffle choices such as blueberry, cornmeal, etc. Instead, they offer only a Belgium waffle with four choices: 1/2 waffle, whole waffle, waffle with fruit (.99 for whipped topping) and waffle with chicken. I tried the 1/2 waffle. It was good and came with a generous amount of syrup in a sealed plastic disposable container. A couple near us said the chicken and waffles were very good. My husband raved about the jalapeno burger. I had the Southwest salad. The menu described the salads, one without tomatoes and one with cherry tomatoes. The salad arrived with small, chopped up tomatoes. I am not a picky eater, but I cannot eat fresh tomatoes. The waitress apologized but did not offer a replacement, not that I would have accepted because I wouldn't waste the food. By the time I picked all the tomatoes off the salad my husband had finished eating. The salad was very fresh and good but would have been better with the southwest dressing. Removing the tomatoes also meant removing the mixed-in dressing. The next day, I entered through their take-out door. No one was at the take-out counter. I wandered over to the main entrance where my order for two jalapeno burgers, one without tomatoes, was taken. The receptionist made sure I knew which burger had the tomatoes, and both take-out boxes were marked as tomatoes/no tomatoes. Surprise, both burgers included sliced tomatoes. They were easy to remove so no big deal. It is nice they offer a choice of French fries, coleslaw, and another side with the burgers. The soupy coleslaw was put in the same styrofoam container as the burgers so the bottom half of the buns were soggy and ruined. The rest of the burger was very good. Coleslaw, whether vinergy or sweet and creamy, is always good, but this coleslaw had an unidentifiable odd taste and included chopped up red pieces (peppers? tomatoes?). I composted it. As noted, the restaurant was open only a few days. I am sure they will fix the soupy coleslaw in with sandwiches container problem, and it is possible some people may like their coleslaw. We will try the restaurant again because overall it was good. read more

Looked forward to coming to try this place out. After waiting for awhile we were seated. Excited to try the chicken and waffles. Come to find out they will not substitute the chicken to only give me white meat. Never been to a Chicken waffle place where I have to get dark meat. Customer service isn't great, we were told it was going to be a 10-15 min wait, turned out to be closer to 30. Food was decent but not spectacular. read more

I can't believe how this place can stay on business since the time we arrived the service was terrible. We need to wait for ten minutes to be seated while the restaurant was more then half empty, after we be seated wait for other fifteen for a server to take our order, 15 minutes later our server come whit half of a coffee to take our order, we wait so long for our food to come, that we decide to leave, we ask for the manager and the server tell us that he was cooking, we ask for our bill and leave, after the manager never come to see was going on and why they will put a meal for four in the trash, I want to clarify that at the time there was more servers then patrons at the place, definitely we will never come again. read more

Well I came to the Waffle Kitchen to eat. Never seen this place before. The signs, lights and country look drew me to it. Well the greeter Karina was so nice and helpful got me my drink and told me she'll let the server know I'm here. The server Brittany was nice asked me if I was ready to order, I said yes and ordered the Primo Fajitas minus the shrimp due to allergies. I also ordered a dinner salad. The waitress Brittany brought the salad and it was nice and fresh, great presentation. When I got the fajitas, boy oh boy where do I start. The vegetables were half raw and lightly cooked. The tomatoes on the fajitas were unpleasant and should of been left off as they only destroyed the presentation of the fajitas as a whole. The meat (steak & chicken) were also lightly cooked, and the fajitas as a whole were bland NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER!! I sent the fajitas back to get cooked more, and when they came back meat was well done as I requested and veggies a bit more cooked, tomatoes swimming all over skillet and mushy. STILL BLAND, NOT SURE IF THEY BELIEVE IN SEASONING. I asked Karina how long this place has been open, and she told me 3 weeks, when you come into the establishment, you can tell it was either just remodeled or newly opened. The wait is a little lengthy, with the bar area being deserted and limited servers. Iced tea had a watery taste. Please note, I am not a complainer and I only yelp what I see, and taste. If it was better that 3 stars then I would of gave 5. I will eventually be back to give this restaurant a second chance. This meal was definitely worth the price if it was cooked properly and to a palettes satisfaction. read more

I love this place it's great!! The night manager is awesome and He makes sure everything is going out smoothly and that all customers are happy!! Only problem I ever see going on is one waitress Elvia.. Shes so unprofessional talking about the manager after he walks away. She tends to be rude to most or all of her coworkers in front of customers calling them fuc***g idiots as they walk away, and doesnt seem like she enjoys/ cares for her job. Its a shame. We stopped for breakfast, at 830AM this morning. The music was blaring like a night club but ok, there is nobody else in site so ill excuse it this time. We ordered To Go. I ordered an omelet, first impression...it had the plastic cheese on top, you know the kind, individual slices you unwrap from plastic. Oh well, moving on...otherwise, the omelet was ok. Even though they are just starting out, the food came out completely cold, I ordered a steak that was brown inside and was supposed to be cooked medium rare. Gave us an old steak. NASTY!!!!! I love this restaurant their Pizza and fries are good. The environment is nice and calm. The bathrooms can use a bit more cleaning. The waiters bring the food out at the right time. The skillet was so so, but no where near as hot as a skillet should be when presenting in that manner. What really was the kicker was the Belgian waffle which was absolutely delicious that held its integrity and crunch after being slathered in syrup and butter !! Updating my review... came on Friday night. The place was packed. Had about a 10 minute wait to be seated. I ordered fajitas which was wonderful and my husband the fried chicken. The service was a million times better and the food came out hot with the exception of the French fries. Travis was our waiter and he had a fantastic attitude and was on it! First of all this is my first time ordering food here for take out. The website says they offer curbside pick up. My order said it would be ready at 2:27, it's now 2:45 and they are still working on it. I had to get out of my car and come into the restaurant because apparently they do not have curbside pick up. I don't know how long I will have wait, I here people in the back talking as if they didn't know there was a pick up order. Some of my food hadn't even been started on. I've visited this place 3 times since moving up here, I have sat at the bar each time, and each time I have received excellent service from Julio the bartender, very efficient and friendly, you should definitely try one of his Margaritas or Mojitos, or if you are feeling adventurous one of his tasty peach martinis will hit the spot right after a hard days work...besides the cold beer and mixed drinks, the food is also delicious, my favorite so far is the buffalo wing pizza...watch out, because it has a mild kick. read more

The 5 stars are not only for the food, but also for our waitress Angel. If I could give her 10 stars I would. Went there for dinner to celebrate our grandson's 3rd birthday.
