I was really surprised how much I like this place. I resisted trying it for so long because it was so popular and so expensive. I couldn't imagine it living up to the hype. It's just a waffle, right? Finally we broke down and gave it a shot. I learned what a liege waffle is. It's a waffle at it's finest, crunchy outside, chewy inside and this super good specialized sugar. We got the works with the gnutella and fruit and everything. It was delicious, but not satisfying. It left me wanting more, but not willing to drop another 9 bucks on a waffle. 18 bucks for 2 waffles felt excessive. Was this a great food experience? Yes. Will I go back? Not sure. It's pretty expensive for what it is, so we'll see if I really get the craving. Haven't had it strong enough yet. read more

Personally I would suggest the sweet waffles over the savory waffles but the savory ones are still good. The staff is always super friendly and the environment is casual and fun. When I think of Waffle Luv, all I can think of is the word decadent. They had this amazing chocolate, biscoff, strawberry, whipped cream (the real thing- no cans involved). The waffle was nearly invisible for the generous amount of toppings. I foolishly thought it would not fill me up because the waffle seemed small. But let me tell you- it was f#cking magical! There's no way to not get your fill. Besides all the decadent toppings, the waffle itself was ahh-mazing!!!! I have seen the truck around a couple of times since having it and just seeing it makes me giddy. I don't know what their secret is, but thisis a must try food truck. Friends need places to meet and enjoy yummy treats. Waffle Love provides seating for said friends and waffles (i.e. yummy treats)! And it's not just a theory -- I met high school buddies here for breakfast and found Waffle Love to provide all the needed elements (they didn't even complain when we talked in the parking lot for a good 45 minutes after we finished eating). Aside from delicious waffles and affordable beverages, Waffle Love has friendly staff. While inspecting the menu, one staff member offered to give us a sample of Biscoff as well as recommendations on which waffles to try. It's definitely a hip place, so keep that in mind when coming on a weekend morning. We arrived at 8 and had our pick of tables, but shortly thereafter the masses arrived. Seating is somewhat limited, mostly because the venue is small. Still, the small space feels comfortable and warm; they make good use of color and wall art. I'd definitely consider returning to Waffle Love. If you need a place to meet friends and enjoy a yummy treat, well, Waffle Love has all the right elements. read more

On my first visit I got the chicken and waffles. I'm from Virginia so I had to see how this compared to other places. I was expecting a waffle with several chicken strips... What I got instead was three huge chicken breasts! They fry the chicken fresh and make the waffle in front of you. Everything was delicious. On my next visit I got the churro waffle because who doesn't love churros! Again delicious! If I could pack up this store and take them with me back to Virginia I would! One waffle is about cookie sized, and has the mass of a Clydesdale. We ordered one with Nutella, strawberries, and whipped cream. The Nutella and strawberries were exactly as one would expect. The whipped cream was different ... not super sweet, and highly viscous. At least the child liked it. The waffle itself was interesting: the outer crust was crunchy like there was sugar or toffee on the iron. It was interesting. I'm told that if the truck is spotted again, I may be required to stop. Ate at Waffle Love on Saturday, May 31st in the Cottonwood Heights area. I had the Sunshine waffle which had lemon curd, berries, and cream on top. It was quite good. Other members of our group had the Red Wonder, which had even more berries and the biscoff cookie spread, plus fresh cream. All the waffles were very good. Most of their gourmet waffles were about $7.50. The staff was very friendly, and when they made a mistake on one of the orders they just gave us that waffle for free!
