This location is busy, but the employees are very friendly and the food is fantastic. The "Chicken Sandwich" (with "buttermilk fried chicken with house made pickles, butter lettuce, and hot honey") was one of the best sandwiches we'd ever had and we'd come back for it anytime we're in town! Be warned though....all WaffleLove locations are not the same! We tried to order the same sandwich at the American Fork location and were sorely disappointed that the "Chicken Sandwich" there is totally different (made with hot sauce and a special sauce, and even the waffles were not as flaky). You'd think that menu items at any WaffleLove with the same name would be the same, but apparently their standards are not consistent across the different locations. read more

My husband and I love waffles and Waffle Love has some of the best waffles we've ever tasted. They are the perfect amount of crunchy and the toppings are always fresh and delicious. I always get the Red Wonder (biscoff with raspberries, strawberries, and whipped cream. You can't go wrong with that combo) and my husband, who prefers savory food, gets the chicken and waffles. These waffles are pretty good if you're down for an over-priced waffle. I really like their cheese waffle and tomato soup. It's a cheese-stuffed waffle with a side of soup. The truck was near my house so we decided to check it out and see what the fuss was about. THIRTY MINUTES LATER our waffle was done. Sorry, not worth it. At all! The staff acted like it was a privilege for us that we got to wait for their food. They had this weird attitude about it. It turned me off for sure. The thing that made me mad is the dumb girl taking orders didn't warn us it was going to be so long! After we complained, as well as several other families, she finally started telling people it was going to be a wait. Get your stuff together! Either buy more equipment to cook faster or hire more staff. Ridiculous. Not to mention these things are way overpriced. Not bad. I mean the waffles are dang delicious, but you don't get too much. And it will cost you a fortune. We had their $5 dollar special which was biscoff and cream that day as well as their chicken and waffles. The biscoff and cream was great but even at $5 I wish it cost less. The employees are very unprofessional and aren't trained fully in that several waffles I've had there have been burned. They also don't wait for the waffle to cool before putting it in the cardboard so the waffle is basically cemented onto the cardboard. read more

The waffles are awesome!!! Love 'em. Awkward story. The menu used to be cheaper to get the strawberries and cream waffle a la carte. My coworker and I went there and he thought it was funny. So, he ordered one a la carte. The employee got mad and kept charging him for the more expensive combo. It wasn't a big deal so he paid the higher price. It was more amusing than anything. The next time we stopped in the combo price was lowered to match the a la carte price. Lol. That said, a bit pricey for what you get. Turn around time for orders is a bit slow too. I stopped by on a Saturday morning at about 11. The place was busy with lots of families with young kids. There were three girls working and they were friendly enough. The waffle I ate had strawberries and raspberries and was delicious. The only downside was there weren't enough seats left so my boyfriend and I went and sat at the burrito place that adjoins Waffle Love. Overall, we enjoyed it and would coke back, just maybe not on a crazy busy Saturday morning. read more

We love love love this place. The only reason i give it 4 stars is because of the inconsistency with the gluten free batter. I always have to call ahead because we've gone several times while they hadn't had it. My fiancé has celiac so when we find a great gluten free restaurant, we go often. I'm just driving through, but I had to try the waffles. I drove 20 minutes out of my way for this place - I can't say I'm sorry I did, because it was awesome. This is not a typical waffle place, the waffles are unique - I ordered two because I was really hungry- big mistake. I should have stuck with 1/2 or maybe the kiddie's menu. As I ate my waffle, I thought, "What is this dripping down my face? Sweet, satisfied, post-wafflegasm drool?" No, it was not. It was a stream of tears. The tears of deep disappointment. My wife had been wanting to go here for a long time, but it hasn't worked out with their location on the days we've thought to go (it's a food truck). So, I looked it up tonight and they were on University Ave, so I swung in and grabbed a pair of waffles to surprise the ol' lady (well, she's only 21). I got the waffle topped with Biscoff spread (aka speculoos, aka cookie butter), which is essentially spreadable heaven. I got my wife's topped with Nutella, which she loves. Both waffles were surprisingly small, but mine especially. It was about the size of my palm, and hers was about 50% larger. They were $5.00 each. Yikes. I dug in with vigor, but instantly knew I was in for a letdown. The waffle was dense, far too dense. It was incredibly sugary. Astoundingly so. My waffle tonight had white spots in it of clumped sugar, some as large as pencil erasers. Each bite was crunchy and sandy. A waffle should be light, crisp, and tender, with a gentle sweetness. This waffle was heavy, like the heft of banana bread with a crisp outside and chunks of sugar inside. It wasn't the delicate airiness inside that a well-crafted Belgian Waffle has. This was a joke. Sure, the toppings are great. Fruits, cream, Nutella, and the brilliance of Biscoff, but the waffle is an embarrassment. Their "specials" are outrageous overloads: Cream, Nutella, AND fruit on top of their waffle-ironed sugar loaf. What a heavy-handed mess of a creation. My wife ate three bites of hers and gave up, feeling thoroughly disillusioned. Again- WHY DO PEOPLE LOVE THESE TERRIBLE PLACES?! Waffle Love, BYU Creamery, Terra Mia... Have you not eaten good food? Is it the mystique, the aura, the culture, the hipness of them? In the case of Waffle Love, I think it's two things: First, people are astounded that they're eating food from a food truck, and they don't want to put it down because it's such a cool thing to be a part of. Second, the over-the-top indulgent-ness of Waffle Love's waffles. They're so sinfully sweet that they MUST be great. Seriously, though. Do yourself a favor. Pass on this. My wife's and my quest to find a good waffle goes on. If you hated Waffle Love and Awful Waffle, but found one that you did like, please let me know where it is! read more

I'm guessing that it was topped with an entire banana and I can't even imagine how many sliced fresh strawberries. Seriously delicious. Does it take some time to make?
