I've been eyeing Waffle Rush for some time now just trying to find a good time to go. I had some extra time on my lunch break, so I stopped in for a brunch. I'm glad I had extra time, because I spent all of my break at Waffle Rush. The guy is friendly and knows how to cook! It's just a slow paced restaurant. I had a great experience with the food. Amazing food. Only complaint is they super overcharged me one time on a tip. My bill was $47 and I tipped $1. It was a pickup order. By the time it processed they rounded it up to $56. It is what it is. Lost a customer but I highly recommend their food !!! read more

the owner's knowledge about waffles was interesting. i had the Belgium liege waffle, covered in strawberries and whipped cream. he explained that the waffle batter was yeast based, and because of that, the extra sugar created a caramelized exterior. the crust was perfect, and he was explaining this to me in detail as i was happily stuffing my face with waffles. i loved getting to know about authentic waffles. he also apparently makes a sourdough chicken and waffles... so you can imagine what i'm trying next. there's also an impressive menu of sandwiches. my boyfriend had one (and it was delicious!) but since the place's name is waffle rush... i had to get a waffle. i wasn't disappointed. comfy couches line the exterior and you can relax while you wait for your espresso drink and food. there's also a wide selection of glass bottled sodas, canned sodas, and drinks he calls "dirty sodas;" basically flavored sodas like you'd get at an old-time soda bar. happiness! need i say more?! make haste, hurry, with great expediency, hurriedly, and well, RUSH your way to waffle rush! read more

We found this place with good reviews on yelp and have been back many times now! My wife is completely nuts over Alex's chicken tenders, generous sized, moist inside, crunchy seasoned to perfection batter! I had to try his specialty liege waffle today and what I thought looked like a slightly over-cooked waffle turned out to be caramelized sugar from a special pearled sugar imported from Europe, incorporated into the raised yeast batter which made the waffle crunchy-sweet on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside... I've also had his Ruben sandwich, carefully hand-made and a delicious handful! Alex told us today he'll be moving to a new location in a month for better visibility, right in the strip mall that shares a parking lot with Bass Pro Shop on Mountain View. Delicious!! So happy we stopped in prior to flying home. Everything we had was amazing. The original chicken and waffles, the honey mustard is sooo good and the syrup in the waffle. The waffles aren't really big and puffy like other restaurants, a bit flatter, but it was still really fluffy? I'm not sure how they managed to do that but it's amazing. The new location is very convenient and makes it much easier for me to get my chicken-n-waffles fix. They do a great job. The owner and operator is seriously the nicest guy you'll ever meet, creating everything to order to insure it's hot, fresh, and exactly how you like it. I haven't even tried the food yet I'm so mad. Terrible customer service. First off refused to give me military discount because I'm not active duty which has never been a problem anywhere else I've ever eaten at and tried to ask me what branch I'm in but couldn't even find the word for branch so she clearly doesn't even know anything about the military. Secondly i waited 20 minutes for my food I was able to go order and receive food from xalos and eat it before my order was even ready from waffle rush. Then when I come in to get my food I asked if the box sitting on the table was mine and she says "i dont know is that you?" There's no name on the box, no phone number, so I'm not sure who's it is she is the one who makes the packages the food she should know. And I responded "I'm not sure there's no phone number on it" and she rudely Snaps back "then that's not yours" and I the customer had to go through the food orders left on the table to figure out for myself which ones was mine, which she has clearly just packaged and finished because I was there within a minute of being texted. She should know which order is mine and direct me to it instead of me having to find it for myself. Definitely will not be coming back here again unless they can learn how to retrain their staff or find new staff. I'm here from out of town and vacation and received this kind of service. read more

We went here for brunch yesterday and are already planning our next trip! I didn't take any pictures because I don't usually leave reviews, but this place blew us away. We went in shortly after opening and their table by the front was already full of to-go orders. I felt so bad for the lady working the front because her phone hardly stopped ringing with DoorDash orders, yet she was still very attentive with everyone. All of the food was incredible! We had the Bananas Foster waffle, the Southern Comfort waffle, and a breakfast plate with eggs, hash browns, bacon, and a biscuit with honey butter. I don't think I've ever had a breakfast that I didn't think at least one aspect could have been improved, but I can't think of anything that could have been better. Literally the only negative of the visit was the one rude DoorDash employee who was being a jerk to the poor lady doing EVERYTHING (this nitwit parked on the sidewalk btw, not a parking space, and walked in the same time as two other order pickups so there were obviously numerous orders that she needed to make sure everyone got their right orders).
