    The dining room is HUGE!
    Casey P.

Breakfast at Heidi's always good but never great. I ate here while I was in town on business a year ago and I just realized I didn't take any photos of rhe food?!?!?! Hahahahaha! Anyway, second time is the charm I guess. So the Halibut sandwich was good, flavor was good, the fish was tender and flaky, my server made a mistake and substituted the "American" cheese for Swiss but I loved it! LOL! Seriously made the sandwich taste better. I didn't eat the bun because to be brutally honest as I always am, the bun was of cheap, stale and poor quality, it was barely toasted and not buttered? Fail! The bun on my cheese burger was the same way. The burger itself was cooked perfectly medium well but it was a premade obviously Sysco quality burger which was poorly seasoned which was made more evident by the stale, cheap, poor quality bun. They did have Coke Zero which made me feel a little better. Also at the end of my meal I ended up having to get up from my table and go pay for my food since my server hadn't returned in 15 minutes after clearing my dirty dishes. I don't feel like I will return to this place as there are much better options in the area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance always feels like I'm in an IHOP at 3am for some reason.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

First stop in Anchorage on 7/11 for breakfast. Got the country Benedict and the waffles. Wow everything was great crispy waffle and good biscuits with sausage and gravy with poached eggs were awesome. Place had tons of seating and service was great happy servers are the best! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was very clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and I will return here next time to Anchorage!

    Veggie omelette, home fries

Just the hubs and I on a visit from Iowa. We were quickly seated at a table, on a Tuesday. The waitress was friendly, outgoing and took our order promptly. I ordered the veggie omelet with no peppers nor mushrooms. I believe they mixed two much milk in their eggs I prefer my omelets with straight egg. The home fries were ok but I like the ones back home better. Hubs tried the reindeer sausage which reminded him of the ring bologna our parents fixed with sauerkraut when we were younger. Food was not terrible. If we lived here, it may not be our regular place but we might go there again

Good but not great is how I would best describe our experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the place is nice, especially inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was good & fresh, except the bacon was like chewing leather & too salty. The sausage gravy could use more seasoning and the service could be more attentive. We would definitely like to try this place again and maybe try some different dishes. I will say the pancake was a delight! Fluffy and perfect. Coffee was good too.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in and the restaurant was super clean and the staff very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We have a short lunch and Heidi's is fast, hot and efficient! With today's charges at restaurant this place was very reasonable and good. We'll definitely be coming back for breakfast. They aren't open for dinner and that's fine since their food is on points

Great selections for delicious breakfast with very generous portions. We went for the omlettes with fruit. Very quick service too.

One of my favorite hometown breakfast/brunch spots here in Anchorage! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cozy vibes, friendly staff, quick service, and the kind of comfort food that hits just right -- especially on a freezing fall morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The coffee's always hot, the portions are generous, and everything tastes homemade. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's the kind of place where you can just relax, catch up with friends or family, and take your time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Local feel, good energy, great prices, and even better food -- can't ask for more!

Here in Anchorage for work, and stopped in here for breakfast. The food was amazing, service so fast, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]a great spot for breakfast![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I totally agree with another reviewer, no negativity here! Just a great place for breakfast.

This establishment was rated 4.5 in Yelp at the time of our visit. Well deserved rating! Our server, Nicole was gracious and followed up to see if the food met our expectations. It did for me and two others in our party. One of our party said the waffle was "meh". They have a history as a picky eater though. Coffee was good! 2 cups for me :0) I had the breakfast sandwich. You can choose how the eggs are cooked and selected bacon. It had cheese melted which combined everything nicely and tasted good! I took a photo. It has a large dining area. Good for small groups. I cleaned up the photo to remove individuals for privacy sake. If you like diners, put this spot on your radar. I would recommend this establishment for breakfast/brunch!

We were looking forward to trying Heidi's, since Anchorage has some few diners, but we absolutely will never return for a number of reasons. The first is the value- 50 bucks for breakfast for 2 people - without the tip- is RIDICULOUS. Additionally thus place was packed and the parking lot and restaurant itself can't handle the volume of people. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, another 10 to place our order. Our coffee didn't come until after our meals came, which is unacceptable and the service was generally not very nice. The food was ok.. parts of it was good, other parts was awful. The corned beef was the best I've ever had in my life, the eggs and toast made me want to vomit. My husband said his steel cut oatmeal was perfect. It was all over the map. Here's my issue. The energy is ugly. Its microagressive ugly racist like Kriners is. If you're brown they treat you differently. We watched as our table and the table of other minorities got served after white people. Like WAY AFTER. And white people got extra little "oh would you like this that or the other" offerings while we didn't. They even have a few minorities in the kitchen and I can imagine their work experience is not very nice. And I will not patronize places like that. There are plenty of other places in Anchorage that treat people equally and are kind regarding of who you are.

Worst service ever!! Food is great but if you want to be treated disrespectful and they're good too for you to buy their food and order customer service has declined at this restaurant. It's so sad. I was told by a girl who answered the phone said to call back when I know what I'm ready to order and I knew what I was ready to order but they were so busy she couldn't take my phone call for pick up on the phone. Good food but bad service.

I walked in by myself and it was a busy brunch rush. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately. After ordering this breakfast, I'm not kidding you, 3 minutes later it's sitting in front of me. Hot, fresh, and delicious! Fair prices and good food!

Our waitress, Katie, was simply amazing. We had a party of six, and she didn't write down a single order--yet every meal, every side, and every drink came out exactly right. We were all impressed! Her attention to detail, friendly personality, and professionalism made our dining experience exceptional. The food was phenomenal. The halibut bites were perfectly crispy and delicious, the dill salmon was fresh and flavorful, and the filet was cooked perfectly--tender and full of flavor. The blueberry beer was also fantastic and a unique local treat that paired wonderfully with the meal. From the warm welcome to the flawless service and incredible food, every part of our experience exceeded our expectations. If you're in Anchorage, Alaska Chopped & Chowder is an absolute must-visit!

With our reservation, we were seated pretty quickly, and I thought the restaurant had a cute nautical feel inside. I ordered a cider, and Colby ordered a glass of wine. For our appetizer, we shared the chowder sampler, which, being from Cape Cod, I had never seen before. The presentation was super cute, with each chowder served in its own tiny mug. All three were delicious and tasted freshly made. For my meal, I ordered the fish & chips, which were very good. I was a little disappointed that one piece of fish was missing batter on one side, but overall everything was still quite tasty. The bathrooms were clean, and I found the staff to be generally friendly, aside from a few comments that we chose to let slide. Overall, this was a really nice spot for local seafood, and there is plenty of free parking outside. We would definitely recommend it if you're looking for fresh seafood while visiting Anchorage.

The family that owns and operates this gem is Greek and they are not only amazing cooks, but they care about their community!! I have been there eating several times this winter and obviously homeless people would come to the door and be given water, hot soup, half a sandwich, etc. that just made me love this place more. Now to the food. First of all I had the meatball sub which was not only delicious but super filling. The meat was very well seasoned, and the fresh basil just made the marinara pop even more, add the freshly shaved Parmesan cheese and you've got something special. The homemade bread puts this thing into overdrive! Crispy on the outside, light, delicate but not falling apart and heavy enough to hold together all that deliciousness without being filling like you just ate a large pizza. Now to the ridiculous tomato basil soup. I love the clam chowder but the tomato basil is my favorite. Savory, full of flavor, smooth, creamy and not greasy. This in my opinion is the perfect pairing to the meatball sub. You're welcome! The customer service here is amazing too just like the owners and the food. You will always be greeted by a smiling face, and treated like family. You will not regret stopping here. I've eaten the Meatball sub, The Philly, the lasagna and The Gyro ( lamb and chicken) all have been 10 out of 10. The ambiance is like a neighborhood dinner with a small dining room. You will love it!
