Been taking my dogs here for a while now. I love their service and prices! Very friendly staff that treat my dogs very well. My fluffy dog has the worst anxiety when it comes to grooming that in the past I've had to put a muzzle on him (he tends to get aggressive). After bringing my dog here, he no longer needs a muzzle. His groomer does an amazing job of trimming his hair. He looks like a brand new dog after every hair cut. I'm always satisfied with the results. My other dog also wasn't a fan of the groomer. I used to take her to Petco and she always left looking unhappy. After bringing her here, she leaves the groomers wagging her tail. My husband took my precious cat Elizabeth ( she is my baby girl ) to get a full service which included Shower , hair and nail cut. I was a little nervous at first because my cat get scared easily and doesn't like people touching her. After I saw my beautiful baby girl , she looked amazing !!!!!. I could tell they took great care of her because she was happy, showing off her new hairstyle. We also had my other boy cat nails trimmed. I feel confident in grooming and I can't wait to add my touch into what I have learned. The owner Minou is very attentive in all her students concerns. In the time I was there I seen her present and ready to help. She is very considerate with her students. In the contrast, working with dogs/ cats come with many emotions. You can easily be frustrated and lose patience, and I think that's what this environment trains you to handle. The instructors are kind yet, have to be firm and know what they are requesting of you in order for you to get the max training, and I have seen that some students took that challenging. If you are considering this school I recommend to take the hardship as training and trust the journey and you will be happy you did. Be positive and always express your concerns. Things I learned: hygiene, everything from washing a dog/ cats fur, nails trimmings, paw hygiene, how to clean up sanitary body areas, skin concerns, grooming around skin warts, flea and tick control, tick removal, minor cuts treatment's, what to do in case of seizures, proper dog grooming table use, clipper education along with blade & comb types, tools for mats tips, Deshed in small and large dogs, aggressive behavior education and what tools and equipment to use. And so much more. Constructive criticism: I wish I would have worked and learned a little more on Dog breeds ( you do receive, if purchase and large book with most breed grooming instructions) which will mostly be up to you. To me... finding a good groomer is like finding a good & honest dentist. This is a grooming school but they don't tell you. So expect your love one to be part of a hair cut experiment. They returned my dog with one eyelash, a lot of cuts in his skin with the machine a big cut in his neck. One eyelash was completely cut off. These people does not care about your pets. But what can you expect when this young inexperienced girls are doing the work paying for learning and the owner charging customers for experimenting in your love one. Not cool the owner should be honest and say these are not experienced groomers they are going to learn how to be groomers in your pet. Really bad business practices in this place. I just dropped my dog, Choco at this groomer for the first time. After having a traumatic experience at a vet, I was very skeptical as I saw a few negative reviews. However, I think I have to always give a place a chance. So far, the lady I spoke with was very kind. She gave me the options of different types of hair cuts. I also spoke with another man picking up his dog and he informed me that he has been coming here quite a bit and he has had no problems. (GOOD SIGN!) I will update on what is to come. You can definitely tell this place is under new management. Everything has improved, don't be deceived by this place based on their exterior. It looks small but they smile and did a great job. I will never Ever go back here again! Took my dog to clip her nails and on my way home I noticed my clothes were covered in blood. Shortly after arriving home I noticed my dog was leaving a trail of blood on the floor, I checked and sure as heck she was bleeding! I couldn't believe she was put through so much such stress! Obviously, I wasn't there with her because they took her to the back, I would've known because she would've squealed. I was so upset because she couldn't put her foot down due to the pain. Since it's been raining it's been difficult to give my dog a bath so I tried this place out and glad I did! I dropped off my pup and about an hour later got a call to pick her up, they did a full wash, got rid of all of her knots(she had many!) cut her nails, gave her a trim/fanny trim, brushed her teeth, cleaned her ears and cleaned her anal glands. Wag My Tail has a long ways to go before they truly grasp the concept of customer service. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Rachel, the owner, who is the only reason I give this business 3 stars. I had called and spoken to her over the phone as well; She was so charming and delightful. I truly would have had a different experience if she was the front desk as well. I came in to give Nala a groom. I really did not have a laid out plan as to how short I wanted her hair to be. Every grooming salon I've been to, they simply ask me what I want, even show me a chart as to what levels I want cut. When I came, the front desk girl greeted me and asked what Nala is in for. I told her a groom and the girl just stared at me. I didn't say anything since I was waiting for her to ask how short I wanted her hair. She finally understood that I was waiting for her to respond, then said how short and I asked her if she had pictures of dogs with hair cuts I could show. She said, and I quote, "ya I guess I have whatever that is" and began looking around. At this point, I really wanted to just take my business somewhere else. However, I just took out my phone and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She then began obnoxiously sucking on a lolipop and told me it would be a few hours since they were very busy. I guess she was having a bad day or thought I was odd for not knowing how short to cut my dog's hair. Regardless, there is a reason customer service exists. If Rachel wants her business to strive and for clients to return, she should train her front desk or get a new one. Because of her front desk, I will, sadly, not be returning, despite the fact that Nala's haircut looked decent. There are tons of groomers in the area who will be able to give not only a great groom with a great price, but with matching and may I even add, outstanding customer service. read more

Came to this place by a recommendation from a friend, but left completely and utterly disappointed. I took my Shepherd and Malamute in. The Malamute had not seen a groomer in about a year. In my 8 years of ownership of her I had maybe "not taken her" a total of 3 other times for that long, because usually I would take her every 6 months. Because of her long coat she had acquired a lot of matted balls :-(. In the other 3 times she had gone that long the groomers would usually just cut off those sections of the matted hairs and comb out the rest of her fur. $ was not an issue, as other groomers usually charged me about $100 for her. I just needed her cleaned up. When I picked her up they had completely shaved her; to the skin. My beautiful long coated malamute now looked like a naked mole rat. They charged me $82 for completely Shaving her. RIDICULOUS! That showed lack of common sense and I paid a lot for it. I'm sure they are capable of doing easy washes, but I would not recommend them for long haired animals that might need a professional touch. They obviously lack the experience. I would highly recommend "Rusty's" in Studio City. Unfortunately they are a ways from me know, hence why I decided to give Wag My Tail a try, BIG MISTAKE! read more

This is the only place I'll ever take my pups to be groomed. This place is clean, the staff is friendly, professional and extremely welcoming. Stay away! I took my dog here for a simple bath and haircut. Not only did I not get what I asked for, but what was cut was very uneven. When I got into the car, I noticed blood coming from the foot/nail area. Nobody mentioned a thing to me!!!! Do Not Take Your Dog here!!! It's close to my neighborhood so I took him here a few times. They're not careful at all. Everytime I pick up my dog something is wrong with him. This last time they cut such a big chunk off his leg the vet had to put stitches on it. Stay away!! I will be driving further out but our dogs are our loved ones. I took my beagle to get groomed here, but they did not seem to be very thorough or caring. They charge a lot for their services, more than the going rate. Watch out for their van. Their drivers are young and inexperienced in handling such a large vehicle. They almost hit our car! (This was my original review posted on 7/23/07) --- Today I have updated this because the owner saw fit to comment on my review. I have a rebuttal. This is what Yvonne T said: "Our average groom is $30! Is that too much for you?" That is news to me. You were running a coupon deal when I took my dog in in 2007. It was for 1/2 off the grooming fee. I think I was charged $25. I took that to mean that the regular fee would be $50 to groom my beagle. If your fee is $30, then I did not get a 50% discount. Hmm. No matter. You missed my point. I am willing to pay more for excellent service. I did not get excellent service at your business. Your coupon led me to try your company, but instead of making a positive impression, your staff blew it. I will never go to your establishment again. Perhaps you put more effort into training your staff and exceeding customer expectations, your business would do better. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! These are the most unprofessional people I have ever met in my life!!!! First off let me start by saying that I signed up for a course to learn how to become a dog groomer. If you are looking for a school please stay away from this place! So in the contract that I signed, it notes that I have 7 days in order to get a refund. They signed me up for classroom classes and online. Well they tried to tell me I couldn't get a refund because I had online access but NOWHERE in the contract does it state I'm not eligible for a refund. Anyways they said they would call me back but they never did so before the 7 days were over I showed up to their business to talk to them in person. Well when I get there Rachel already seems upset while we were having this conversation about MY REFUND she decided to tell me (YELLING) that I went over there to WASTE their time because they gave me a tour of the classroom which is only like an office space!! Are you kidding me!?!? How am I wasting your time when I'm A PAYING CUSTOMER!! Anyways I got upset and left. My aunt took a picture of the front building to get the address of the business so then Rachel comes out and takes a picture of my license plate so I went back in to ask her what was her reason for doing that. As I go back in to confront her this BIG LADY comes out YELLING AT ME calls me the B word and these were her exact words "GET THE F*** OUT OF HERE YOU F****** B****" and she wanted to assault me. I was in shock that this is the type of people they have as employees. To make matters worse I found out that the big lady that verbally abused me and almost attacked me is the TEACHER of this place! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! They are refusing to give me a refund so I suggest that anyone looking for some sort of education in the grooming industry stays as far AWAY AS you can from these people. I've had my cockapoo Bubba groomed here 3 times now. I'm giving it 3 stars because this last time I specifically asked them to trim his tail and ears and they didn't. Normally they do an excellent job and they give you a little report card that says how your pooch did that day, along with tips, and recommendations for their next grooming session. Every time I pick Bubba up he looks fluffy and gorgeous, and smells wonderful. Even though they fell short this last time, I'll probably still bring him back for his next session and give them one more chance. In a town where there are more dog groomers than Starbucks', they should do everything just right. **Update** I have since stopped taking my doggie here -- everytime i ask them to do something specific, they tell me they are going to do it but then they don't. Their prices are steep and they hardly ever have bows or bandanas even though they advertise bows and bandanas for dogs. Don't go to their Wag My Tail shop because they do horrible cuts on dogs (they shaved my golden retreiver's hair when I asked for a lengthy trim) and they don't even address their mistakes to the owner on their own accord. read more
