U name anything and its on their menu. Number of cocktail n alcoholic drinks options not only at the bar but for dinners to enjoy as well. Layout- its little unusual layout with no one at the door to greet you. Rather enter n climb up the stairs to enter restaurant space which is very rustic n antique but very spacious n lively. On one corner is the live music stage where on friday"s local bands entertain the guest. ( service not offered during this time of covid ) Its just the live music doesn't play but otherwise this place play good music as per the ambiance. Huge glass windows on all sides allow all the natural light to shine bright through. Patio is very pleasant n homely. Beautifully decorated with flower baskets n string lights. It present the view of the tracks with ocean at the background. In fact the night movie place is visible from the windows too. Food - menu is all filled with different varieties. Start with starters of vegetarian brussel sprouts to chicken wings and prawns. Pasta dishes, sandwiches, pizza and much more. We shared the pasta dish which was very creamy n just perfectly done. Vegetarian options are available and even virgin cocktails can be requested. Servers are all very excited to greet guests. They are Smiling , all dressed black n know menu items to suggest. I couldn't have it all so i will go again . Its perfect for a sweet date night dinner.

    Snapper and prawns.

What a hidden gem!! Stopped in for a quick glass of wine but ended up trying a couple small bites…read more Service was absolutely fantastic. What made this place stand out to me the most was the bartender whipped up the most absolute AMAZING espresso martini I've ever had. Just happened to have a conversation about how much I love a good espresso martini. I've had many but this place wins 1st place! There was also live music later in the evening and the environment was very casual and up beat. I will definitely be returning for another espresso martini in the near future! Tons of wine options to choose from.

I heard about this place on a podcast (ITM) and wanted to go to a celebratory dinner somewhere new…read more The drive to Blaine was super easy, the location is convenient, and there is ample parking. There is definitely at least one back room, but the main dining room is a bright, airy space that has access to a patio where may even be some live music playing. The tables are gorgeous - all live edge, which might create a bit of an issue if you have short arms and are used to stealing bites across the table, but they are absolutely beautiful and a nice nod to the area. The wine list is extensive and a bit overwhelming, but the service is happy, friendly, and very knowledgeable. In fact, I love when servers don't know, admit it, and find the answer for you - it's humble and shows they really care at getting you what you want. We got the orange wine, which is a new favorite of mine. It's like a rose for reds. Rose:White::Orange:Red. More savory, still light, and best chilled. We had the beet hummus app, which is definitely best eaten with your hands. It's light and delicious. We had the miso black cod, a personal favorite, and the lasagna for dinner and while both were good, the accoutrements with the cod were the true standout. Amazing and I could probably eat two of them. As the restaurant operates on a seasonal menu, we had a strawberry rhubarb cobbler for dessert. I know there is Sunday Brunch, and I can't wait to try it. It's not the cheapest, but it's one of the nicer restaurants in Whatcom, and is definitely worth your pennies. Everything about it makes for a truly nice experience, and we'll definitely be back.

Dropped in here for lunch…read more The decor was clean and modern, but there was some packaging lying around on the front tables. I ordered the cucumber salad and seafood fried rice with XO sauce, as well as tea. The tea came first, with a very nice Western style porcelaib pot and cup and saucer. Elegant! The cucumber salad had an interesting dressing, slightly sweet, but with a healthy amount of garlic. Somehow, for me, it worked. The cucumber was very fresh and served as a nice neutral base to build the flavors on. I was warned when I ordered the fried rice that it was spicy. Well, it was slightly tingly, but nothing major for my tastes. The rice was soft and loose and flavourful. Surprised by what looked like short grain rice. The rice came with some kind of whitefish, shrimp, and scallops. Also very finely diced red and green peppers, carrots, and onions. It was very flavorful, the seafood was very fresh and perfectly cooked, and tasty without being salty. I got a refill of hot water for my tea without asking, which was very appreciated. Price for one person was a bit high, but portions were large enough for sharing between two, and compared to other prices on the White Rock Beach, this wasn't too bad. A good spot for some good Chinese good!

The location across from the beach was enjoyable and relaxing. The only thing keeping me from give five star was the lack of servers.. only one person was doing mostly anything.. so the service was very slow.. but still way worth the wait.
