I was so fortunate to stumble across Precious Pet Car on Yelp! Leila helped me through the whole process of signing up and booking and I was able to schedule a meet-n-greet and book a stay that same morning! Truly such a kind, responsive, and accommodating process. It was my first time ever sending my dog Mochi to a sitter and I was super anxious since he's already 10years old! The meet went even better than expected. The dog area was HUGE and there were so many toys and activity spots for the dogs to play or shaded areas to just rest. Shantae asked about my dog and explained the personalities of the other dogs that would be staying with him and I felt so reassured that Mochi would be just fine. A total bonus that I wasn't expecting was getting picture updates of Mochi having a blast! Seems like the old man got to have a little vacation on his own. Shantae informed me that he whined for a couple minutes after I left, which is normal, and how he got along with the smaller dogs and got to play with the water hose! Such fun surprises to me since he normally ignores little Dogs and water in general! I cannot recommend trusting your fur pets with Leila and her team more!! I was able to celebrate my birthday with ease knowing my dog was in good hands (possibly having more fun than even me!) After having a…read morebad experience with a self-employed sitter, spotty availability with another self-employed sitter, and then deciding not to travel altogether, Leila and her amazing team at Precious Pet Care showed me that their high standard of care meant I could be at ease and take vacations again! I was referred to Precious Pet Care by a dog trainer I know. I was interested in their Golden Overnight Care services, a 24-hour service where the sitter is with my babies all day! In particular, my dogs are extremely attached as they are used to coming to work with me and generally being around me 24/7, so this type of sitter service was a must! I was given a link to request a meet & greet and schedule the days a sitter was needed in my home and met with my assigned sitter, Kate, prior to my requested days. Ever the worrier about my dogs, cats, birds, and guinea pigs that I would be apart from, Kate handled my bombarding her with information in good stride. During my vacation, I was pleased to see that she sent numerous photos, videos, and updates daily! Kate made me feel completely at ease while I was away and was such a great communicator. Upon my return, all my critters were happy, and the house was neat and clean! Kate made sure to take the trash out and clean up after herself as well. Truly a 5-star experience! As soon as we met Jon we knew he was the right person to watch Cali. He is great with dogs, super responsive and posts lots of videos so we always knew how she was doing. Isla clearly feels right at home with Jon and the Sunny Pets pack, and has enjoyed trips to the beautiful parks and beaches around SD! She has the biggest smile in every video we get of her during her stay! Recently, Isla was diagnosed with a condition that makes her dietary needs more complex. Jon was super understanding and followed her diet to a T. I'm totally at ease leaving Isla with Jon and completely trust him. What has changed?…read more We've used Camp Run-A-Mutt several times over the years for overnight boarding and have always had a great experience, which is why this recent stay was so surprising. When making the reservation, I noticed that a few of my dog's vaccinations would expire during his stay. We took care of getting them updated weeks in advance and made sure the vaccination certificates were sent to Camp Run-A-Mutt. I even confirmed with a staff member at the front desk that they had received everything and that my dog was all set for his stay. A few days before our trip, I received a call saying my dog was missing vaccinations. I asked which ones, and of course they were the very vaccinations we had already updated and submitted. I explained that they had the records, the employee put me on hold, then came back and confirmed everything was in order and said they'd see him on Thursday. Then things got even more frustrating. On Thursday, as I was landing in another state for my vacation, my daughter--who was dropping my dog off before catching her own flight--called me in a panic. She was being told they couldn't accept him because his rabies vaccine wasn't up to date. I immediately called the facility and explained that we had already confirmed his records twice. The employee put me on hold, checked the records, and sure enough, they had his current rabies certificate the entire time. They admitted everything was up to date and accepted him. A few days later, while we were still out of state, I received another call saying my dog was being quarantined and separated from the other dogs because his vaccinations supposedly weren't current. At this point, this was the third time in less than a week that the exact same issue had come up. I again explained that his vaccinations were current and that their staff had already confirmed this multiple times. The employee put me on hold and never came back to the phone. Thankfully, my daughter was only a few hours away and was able to rush over and pick him up. When I called to pay for his stay over the phone and let them know he was being picked up, I was initially told they couldn't accept payment over the phone. That was confusing because I've paid over the phone for previous stays without any issue. When I asked if it was a new policy, the employee admitted it wasn't--they just didn't know how to process a phone payment. They had to get someone else to help before I was finally able to pay. I'm honestly not sure what's changed, but the organization and communication were completely different from the excellent service we've received in the past. The repeated confusion over vaccination records--which they already had on file and repeatedly confirmed--caused unnecessary stress while my family was traveling out of state and ultimately resulted in our dog being removed from daycare and picked up early. We've always been happy with Camp Run-A-Mutt, which is why this experience was so disappointing. I hope this was just an isolated breakdown in communication, but based on our recent experience, I no longer feel confident leaving my dog there.

Walter is our new English Bulldog pupperoni (11 months) who loves to be around other dogs, though still learning Ps and Qs. We wanted to find a new daycare for them and came across this lovely place on yelp. I emailed them to set up a visit and they were very nice and accommodating. Everyone is sweet, you can tell they love our animals and they are professional. We stopped in on a Saturday morning and were able to check out the play area from the window in the lobby (also watched the video on their website) and they let us into the suites area since there were no dogs in there. When Ruth stays for the day, she stays in their suite and probably loves the break from Walter. Walter goes into the playgroup with the other pups. They asked for all the vaccinations and will ask for updated vaccines as well, which we love and feel very comfortable with. We know we stay up to date with everything and we want to be sure our pups are around other pups that have everything updated as well. We love the report cards. Especially since Walter is so young, we like to see how he is doing with the other dogs. I added some of the pics from their recent visit. Just look how happy he is and Ruth loves the big suite and comfy bed. We are very happy with this wonderful daycare.

Hard NO on boarding at this place…read more Their online boarding accommodations do not reflect reality. The photos on their app make the rooms look comfortable and inviting. Based on my experience, that was not what I found. See the photos and decide for yourself. I booked an expensive "Daystay Deluxe Suite" for my sweet Aussie well in advance and received a confirmation. When I arrived around 5 a.m. before my trip, the employee checking us in told me I was assigned a medium room. I explained that I had specifically booked a suite. He initially insisted I was booked in a medium room, but after I prepared to show him my confirmation, he suddenly changed his tune and said, "Wait a minute." At that point, I was told all the suites were taken. I explained that I specifically chose the suite because it included camera access. The employee was not helpful in resolving the issue. Fortunately, his lead arrived for her shift and was able to find a suite that had become available because another dog was participating in all-day play. My dog ended up taking that room. When I asked how a confirmed reservation could be assigned incorrectly, no one could give me an answer. This was my dog's boarding experience here, and the last thing I wanted was a problem at check-in right before leaving town. I also brought a blanket from home so he would have something familiar and comforting with him. I was told personal items are not allowed due to laundry and lost-and-found concerns, which seemed unreasonable. I provided three pre-portioned meals. He was given the first meal and didn't eat it. Staff then gave him a second meal. After seeing this on the camera, I requested that they not give him the third meal if he still wasn't eating. That third meal bag was never returned, even though he didn't finish the first two. As for the "suite," it looked like a kennel w/walks and a raised platform to lie on. Premium bed is what is advertised. There was also an opening where my dog could see other boarded dogs across from him, which caused him to bark much of the day whenever I checked the camera feed. When I picked him up, he was exhausted and stressed. It did not appear to be a peaceful environment. The entire setup felt more like a rescue facility than the premium boarding experience their marketing suggests. The most disappointing part was spending my trip worried about my dog's well-being instead of feeling confident he was being cared for. Thankfully, this was only a day stay. Needless to say, we won't be returning.
