Took my puppy in once he was old enough and had all of his shots and within FOUR weeks he was calm and well-behaved on outings. No pulling on the leash or accidents in the house, they are amazing!! Truly such a power couple! I hope they expand one day because I wouldnt send my dogs to any of the schools here because Im not sure theyll be trained properly. The time they invest in my dogs at the rates they charge is the BEST! --- Want a sample of their techniques before committing to classes? Try their Sunday Struts! Every 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. "For only $5, you'll get to learn how to walk your dog through distractions, over/through agility equipment and meet other dogs in a safe setting." --- They offer boarding services for traveling families just check them out at barkbarkbackyard.com. --- JUST ADDED SERVICE: Shampoo and Nails service for our boarding or daycare clients. "We brush, shampoo and blow-dry your pup just before your return...so you can have extra sweet cuddle time when you go home. Price based on dog size (with additional charge for extra dense coats/severe matting)" Weight under 25lb: $25 Weight 26lb - 49lbs: $35 Weight 50lbs and over: $45 --- Bonus points to Bark Bark Backyard for keeping us dog parents feeling secure during daycare or boarding services by sending us videos! Check out their Youtube channel to see what a day at Bark Bark consists of! (@Bark Bark Backyard)

I found dr b from doing very extensive searches for holistic veterinarians and searching their backgrounds etc. trying to make the best choice for my baby, who can help get her on the right track and a good plan since she was 13 1/2 and I wanted to extend her life naturally providing for her the best I can. Dr Basko got on her plan right away, he wasted no time. A couple days after the phone consult he had a 2 part treatment plan ready for her. Part one- was a lot of detailed explanations what was going on inside and different ways we can fix it. Part two- was the treatment plan with links to all supplements and foods, shakes to make for her liver, trust me he knows his stuff. But it with a heavy heart that I write... that while I was collecting all the supplements for her to take and get her started on the right foot, she was brought to the hospital here in LA for anemia, and internal GI bleeding. Unfortunately long story short my baby, my best friend, my world did it make it out of the la hospital, the only reasoning for her death they gave us was: collapse. That's it no other explanations. I informed dr b and his team that unfortunately despite our best efforts to fix lulu and her health it was just too late, and I felt super disturbed by the no explanation from the la hospital which i stressed to him. I could not believe it, Dr Basko emailed me back and actually CARED to help me understand what happened to my baby, and get me the clarity I need. Versus her vet in LA who never even said he was sorry for my loss. Dr Basko is a kind, caring, patient and compassionate doctor who TRULY cares about animals, all animals. Lulu was so lucky to have this man as her new vet even if it was only for a week or two. Thank you for everything, from me and little lulu. Rip angel mommy will see you soon

Kristi is truly one of a kind My boyfriend and I came to her desperate for help with our new pup, Kona, who struggled with severe anxiety. He was scared of pretty much everything -- people, new environments, being separated from us -- and we were also dealing with barking, basic obedience, and some unwanted behaviors. After just 4 sessions, the transformation has been unbelievable. Today was our final session, and I honestly wish I had a video of how Kona used to be so people could truly understand how far he's come. At the beginning, he wouldn't even go up to Kristi and was extremely hesitant and fearful whenever she took the leash. Now? He confidently walks up to her on his own terms -- calm, trusting, and self-assured. That alone speaks volumes. Kristi didn't just train Kona -- she guided us on how to train him the right way. She's patient, knowledgeable, supportive, and truly cares about both the dog and the owners. She sets you up for success, but it's important to note that the progress comes from continuing the work at home too -- and her guidance made that possible for us. We are beyond grateful for Kristi and everything she's done for our pup. If you're dealing with anxiety, fear, or behavioral issues and want real results, Island Dog Obedience is 100% worth it. I cannot recommend her enough!

The wind, rain, loud and sudden noises, others dogs and people. Her hair would stand up from the top of her head to the tip of her tail when she was frightened. We decided to find a trainer to help Nohea and us. We found Amie, who is a God send. She is so awesome as is her husband John!!! In the last 2 weeks, Nohea is so much more confident. She is more sociable with people and dogs! A complete transformation! After each training session, Amie brings Nohea home, shares what she covered and sends videos of their training. This is invaluable and has helped us to continue proper training at home! She also takes the cutest pics of our puppy love . We are so very thankful for Amie, John and their lovely little girl. Don't hesitate to reach out to Amie, she is really that AWESOME!!!

When they drop your dog off after training, Aime or Jon will give you a recap of the day and discuss what you can do at home to be consistent with the training.  They also allow you to come with them (we went one day) so they can walk you through the commands and how to correct your dog if they stray and also how to use the collar correctly.  It's a team effort to train your dog.  Aime and Jon set up the foundation for the behaviors and as owners we need to be consistent and diligent to continue the training at home to keep your dog on track. They are great at answering questions quickly and communication through the day.   They even offer a follow-up if you dog regresses in certain behaviors.  We just finished our session and are enjoying our dog so much more now that we know how to handle her.  We are also excited that we can take her out in public without worry about bad behaviors, or if she does misbehave we know how to correct her.  We are first time dog owners and this training made the transition less stressful.  I would highly recommend Bad Dog, Good Dog!  An added bonus is their sweet daughter Tamera who comes along to brighten the day.  Thank you Aime and Jon!
