Back in Needles after a year and wanted to give this place another chance, plus my son was intrigued by this nostalgic diner. The country fried steak was good, not the best I've had but no issues with it. The hash browns were a hit, nice and crispy. The biscuit and gravy tasted real homemade and delicious. But I think the best part of our lunch was our server Lori, she looked super busy but she was attentive, bright and friendly. Like she knows all the locals and what their regular order is. That's what people look for in a diner: home-style cooking served fast by a friendly server.

On our way to Vegas on Route 66. Found this place to have brunch. Friendly staff and we were seated right away. Ordered chicken fried steak and breakfast burrito. Everything tasted good, not salty and greasy. The chicken fried steak is not the ground beef. The steak is a bit tough. Overall, it's good. But not a place we'll be back if we're in the area. The place is clean with rustic western decorations and plenty of parking.

Down home cooking roadside stop with a touch of nostalgia. The signature pot roast skillet doesn't disappoint. Good portion size and some toast that I didn't see in description. Great food, service and atmosphere.

It's a cozy place, and you can charge your EV simultaneously. First time - approximately $34 * Steak & Eggs (8oz hand cut sirloin) with potatoes & side of biscuit with homemade gravy $22.99 * Full stack pancakes $8.99 Steak was cooked perfectly and oh-so tender. Serena was very bubbly and attentive. We will be back.

Best damn pot roast sandwich I've ever had. Add the potato salad and pickles and you're about to enter the heaven gates! Get em cowboy !

This is a popular place on Route 66 and we were seated immediately. They were about half full and you could tell from surrounding conversations mostly locals. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. Our food arrived hot and did not disappoint. The portion sizes were ample and very filling. My chorizo was made to perfection and even the tortillas were homemade. My friend said his skillet with the pot roast was amazing but the biscuit and gravy tasted out of a can. The place is full of memorabilia from the Route 66 days and they play laid back days. Enjoy if you pass through.

Always wanted to stop in, finally did. The interior is super cute and what you would expect from a cute Route 66 type diner. The service was excellent, Lori H our server was kind and attentive. The food was really good. We tried the cinnamon roll French toast and the pot roast melt with fries. The cinnamon roll French toast was delicious and definitely recommended. The pot roast melt was a solid diner style sandwich. The bread on the sandwich was perfectly toasted, not soggy or greasy. The pot roast was tender, in my opinion the sandwich overall lacked some pizazz but it still was good enough to clear my plate. The French fries were delicious and fried perfectly, nice and warm. Definitely worth a stop in here!

Traveling back to CA from Lake Havasu. Always wanted to stop at the Wagon Wheel. Route 66 has some wonderful nostalgic places to experience. We We're not disappointed. Our server, Jennifer, was so nice. Our meals came out quickly and piping hot. Loved the old school ambiance. Definitely recommend to anyone traveling this highway.

Fun decorating all throughout the restaurant. Also has a small gift shop. The service was also great. Our server was on her game. I had high hopes for the breakfast but was a little bit disappointed or maybe I lighter word for disappointment because it wasn't super bad. The chicken fried steak was way too chewy. I've never had one that I didn't love but I would definitely try an omelette instead. Also did a side of biscuits and gravy and those were just OK. The best tasting part was my son's kids French toast. Good quick off the road stop on the way home.

Absolutely love this place!! Always stop here after a river trip. The food is amazing, the staff is even better. Greasy little diner with mimosas! Cool atmosphere and easy access to parking and getting on and off the road

Whenever we're on a road trip from Cali to Arizona, Wagon Wheel is a great spot for some honest grub. The latest visit was satisfying, as usual. Service friendly, food came fast and tasted great. Prices are fair, too. I had the chicken fried steak with green beans and baked potato. The green beans were cooked perfectly, not mushy which can happen in diner type restaurants. Wife got a patty melt and sweet potato fries. All delicious! We will be back.

Service was pleasant. Food was average. Nothing special. Pancakes flat, not fluffy. Could use a deep clean.

We went in this A.M. on 6-17-26. Two tables had two customers each. One table waited way to long for a check to leave. Although friendly our busser and server were nice. "They" seemed overwhelmed. We asked three times for coffee which should hit the table first thing for most breakfast customers. A large group followed our seating and the server was late with menus and setups. Obviously the place was struggling and disorganized. Where was the owner ? Being skeptical since a sign on the front door advertised for an experienced cook. We decided to pass on the CFS. She ordered hash, eggs, and B& Gravy. I went with half order of B&G and a Short Stack (2) cakes. Here it goes, pancakes were under cooked and actually had a bitter taste like sour milk was used. My guest tasted them and totally agreed. Biscuits were hard, a And the gravy was cold, and griddy as though the mixture was inadequately stirred or mixed. The hash was good, but something like papricka or chili powder was added. Fine for us but likely would be to spicy for most since corned beef hash is not supposed to be hot. The check total was $40.11. $8 for a short stack, $8 for 1/2 order B&G. D'place was good and we would tolerate the old smoking allowed in the closed in dinning room ! My old Chinese friend used to say, " sum ting wong ". Edwin M.
