We brought several pieces of jewelry to The Jewelbox in May 2026 for metal reclamation. We had…read morephotographed all items beforehand. When we picked up the returned loose stones, we immediately noticed one did not match the original -- the size and appearance were clearly different from our photos. We returned to the shop within minutes. We were later informed by text that the original stone had been broken during removal. This had not been disclosed at the time of pickup. Instead, a replacement stone had been placed in our return bag without explanation. Because the replacement did not match, we had it independently examined at Kay Jewelers, where it was identified as glass with no gem value. We have since requested written documentation of what happened to the original stone, as well as return of the broken stone or a proper replacement. At the time of this review, the matter remains unresolved. We are sharing this experience so others are aware of our situation before entrusting valuable or sentimental jewelry for similar work.
