Drinks on patio while waiting for a table
    Michelle M.

We didn't have a reservation on a Friday night. We waited over an hour for a table outside. They initially tried to seat us inside after waiting and then had to wait longer for something to open outside. They may have been short staffed because open tables were visible they just weren't being sat. Idk. I was underwhelmed with the food. I don't go to Korean BBQ spots often but having to get up to get sides was off putting for me (especially in heels). Also the floors are a bit slick in heels especially with the accumulation of grease from all the grills going. It IS vibey with great views but I couldn't justify spending that much unless you're absolutely starving.

My husband and I were so excited to visit the Waygu house and it was amazing. We got the diamond tier option that came with the best Waygu beef I've ever tried. I loved the yellow tail sushi and lobster roll. The curry and rice was flavorful! Our server, Rebecca was so knowledgeable and accommodating. And lastly the stunning Atlanta sky line views are unmatched!!! I could go on and on! My husband wants to make this his permanent Father's Day gift every year!

Great ambiance, tentative staff, accessible, safe parking, beautiful views and multiple options for seating and food. Now for the price the dining options were fair. The all you can eat options were filling. Korean BBQ style is my favorite kind of dining experience which did not disappoint. Good for groups, dates and solo. Nice photo opportunities. Very kind staff. Would recommend.

John is amazing ! Explained everything so well to us. Made great recommendations and very attentive. We will definitely be back Food was great and fresh. Beautiful view of the city you can't beat that!

Went when they first opened, it was amazing all around. Been a few times since then, I feel like it's changed. The buffet offerings weren't as good and that top tier service has gone all the way down. You get 90 max to eat until they ask you to go. So protein is unlimited depending on the tier you choose. I'Il still eep this on my "out of town visitors"list for the view, entry red canon design, and the Korean bbq aesthetic. But it's definitely different than it was. I'll still rate it 5 because that initial experience was amazing. But im good to not go back. Been enough.

What a vibey dinner spot! The low dim lights, architecture and sexy red aesthetics set the tone for a nice couples dinner. Also parking was easy peasy! We did the gold tier menu where you get access to premium cut steaks. The ribeye was really good which is no surprise. My second fave was the A5 Waygu. As far as sides and sushi the waygu, yellow tail and shrimp tempura were solid sushi options. The dumplings were fireeeeee and when I say fire I mean delicious and spicy!! The tom yum soup was not bad but I don't have to get it again. I feel like we tried every meat option as a group but honestly they all start running together. As far as the buffet, it was nice. You have a salad bar with an incredible cucumber salad. White Rice, fried rice, curry, waygu meatballs, ice cream, slushies you name it. Side note: The lychee drinks were so good we ordered two. Overall I give this experience a 9/10 and only because we had to wait 15 mins to be seated and we had a reservation. I will say our server made up for the loss and he was great and enthusiastic at his job. See ya later Waygu House (I'll be back for a summer rooftop vibe)!

Checked out Wagyu House and was pleasantly surprised by the service, quality of food and atmosphere. My server was John and he was very attentive! Walked us through everything and constantly checked up on us. Highly recommend.

Redemption tastes SO good! Had to spin the block at Wagyu House and babyyyyy... they redeemed themselves ALL the way! Everything was a 10/10. I stepped out and tried new dishes, and every single bite was hitting. The waiter? Absolutely perfect attentive, patient, and made the whole experience feel VIP. After we ate, it turned into a whole photoshoot! The staff didn't even blink they were happily taking pictures for everybody. That kind of energy makes a night unforgettable. And tell me why I looked up and saw an artist from 112 in the building?! Omg. The vibes were immaculate. Thanks Saung!!!! Great food. Great service. Great energy. This is how you make a comeback! #AtlantaEats #WagyuVibes #DateNightDoneRight

Wait what?!?!? IYKYK this chain of restaurants can be pricey but if you come hungry, and with a group as motivated as you to fashionably enjoy 90 minutes of delightful endless Korean bbq you will not be disappointed! The House is more upscale than its suburban counterparts, but honestly, the quality is the same. Check out the hot sides, and desserts FIRST!! You may not need the higher tier selections unless you are looking for a specific meat cut. The sunset views is the hook here, so if thet is where you came for- STAY FOCUSED and stick you your plan.. especially if you are on a budget.... now, if it's your birthday, you have a membership and you are ready to drop some coin.. ENJOY!! You will not regret it!! Service was consistent and friendly, the robot server was creepy, and the views were picturesque!!! I'm a fan of the OTP locations but for a special night out, it was

I finally got to check out Wagyu House for a birthday dinner. I've been curious about it for a while, but since I don't eat red meat or pork, it wasn't high on my priority list. Now that they've added more seafood and chicken options, it felt like the right time. We chose the Silver Tier, and Kenny was our awesome server who walked us through how the dining experience works. Each table has an iPad where you can order up to 10 items at a time, and once you submit your order, it times out for about 7 minutes before you can order again. While waiting, you can visit the buffet, which was a nice touch. The buffet includes a variety of meat, veggie, and rice options, along with juice and tea dispensers, toppings, sauces, desserts, and soft-serve ice cream. Your table orders arrive via these cute little electronic carts, which adds to the novelty of the experience. We also ordered drinks--the lychee martini, lychee blossom, and yuzu pose--but all were on the sweeter side and not really to our taste. The ambiance is cool and modern, and overall the experience feels more like a fun concept than an exceptional dining destination. The food was fine, but not particularly memorable. Parking is available in the Interlock deck, with some street parking nearby, but they do not validate parking. Overall, Wagyu House is worth checking out if you're interested in the experience and variety, especially with a group--but it's more about the concept than the cuisine.

The food options for all tiers is so plentiful. I love the all you can eat aspect. The drink machines, sauce station, and dessert cart are so fun. The food at the buffet are very average but the quality of the meat shines through. The speed of service and our attentitive server, jasmine, made everything enjoyable. I love the dark red lights and the dark theme but futuristic theme to the restaurant. It's just a fun place to go, it also being on the rooftop gives it an exclusivity and there's no place else like it

First things first, make your reservation early. Spots fill up fast, and I can see why, the ambiance is absolutely the main attraction here. Located on the 13th floor overlooking the Atlanta skyline, The Wagyu House delivers a very sexy, moody vibe. When you walk in, you're greeted with red lighting and a sleek atmosphere that instantly feels upscale. No matter where you're seated, there's a strong chance you'll get an amazing view, which makes this place perfect for photos and a night out with friends. They do give a 15-minute grace period if you're running late, which is a plus. Now, let's talk about the food, because this is where things fall flat. I know this might be unpopular, but the food was average at best. If we're talking Korean BBQ, Iron Age still holds the crown in both flavor and value. The Wagyu House definitely wins on ambiance, but the meat itself was not particularly delicious, and the sides were honestly not appetizing. It's also important to note that this restaurant has price tiering. On weekends, depending on the tier you select, prices start at $78 and up per person, while during the weekdays, prices start at $58 and up per person. With that pricing, expectations are naturally higher. The best side I had all night was the fried calamari. Everything else, from kimchi to seaweed salad, rice, and fried rice, came from a buffet-style setup and was cold by the time it reached the table. There was also confusion about service, at first, we had to get up and grab our own sides, then later the server brought food out. It wasn't very clear how the system worked. The meat selections did come out in a timely manner, but servers would stack cooked and uncooked meat plates without regularly clearing the table, which added to the lack of attentiveness. Overall, the staff was nice, but for $78 flat per person, I expected much better service. A lot of the experience felt self serve unless we specifically asked for something. Bottom line: If you're looking for great drinks, a fun vibe, skyline views, and Instagram worthy photos, this is your place. Dress cute, you'll want to. I wouldn't call this fine dining, but it's definitely somewhere you'd pull out a nice outfit for. Ladies, be careful with heels. The floors are slippery, and if you're carrying buffet plates, heading to the restroom, or stepping outside to the rooftop, it's easy to slip. But if you're going strictly for good Korean BBQ, I'd say skip this spot. It's overhyped, overpriced, and the food doesn't match the cost. Iron Age is still where it's at. Sorry, Wagyu House, I really tried. But average food and average service at a premium price just doesn't cut it.

Food and service was speedy. Staff were so welcoming and helpful while ordering. They explained how the process works and recommended us a couple of popular items. We had a big group of 10 so I'm sure this was a lot to deal with but they handled it perfectly from start to finish. Meat quality and fat to meat ratio was perfect. Nothing overpowered the other and paired nicely with side dishes. They also offer more beverages that are not the traditional fountain drinks. Nice seafood selection as well.

Ask the Community - Wagyu House

I'm celebrating my birthday this Saturday and hoping to get a ready for 2 indoors to celebrate?

Yes my party was a party of two and i booked a couple days before but not much time was available online. I think only one time slot was open, Saturday seemed very busy.

Are there sides to go with the meat?

Yes. They have a "sides" area you can help yourself to.

Do they have seating for 1?

Yes. There is bar seating there for a seat for one!

Do they have their authentic Wagyu certifications displayed like the Chubby Cattle?

Yes, I think both restaurants are owned by the same group.

    Is it reservation only?

For now yes. It is only a soft opening. I believe the grand opening is in about 2 weeks.

I walked here, so I can't speak on the parking situation, but it didn't look too busy outside (around 7 PM). Vibes inside were pretty nice and casual. FOOD: The Wednesday special is a great deal, where a dozen raw oysters are $15 and a half dozen char-grilled oysters are $10. Raw Oysters (4.5/5) - I have to preface by saying that I am not usually a fan of raw oysters; however, I thoroughly enjoyed the ones here. They were mild in flavor and tasted fresh. There are plenty of hot sauces available at the table to dress up your oysters. The platter of oysters also comes with horseradish and cocktail sauce. I must say I really enjoyed the oyster and horseradish combo. Char-Grilled Oysters (4/5) - Grilled with a garlic parmesan coating. It was nice, but I actually preferred the raw oysters! Not overcooked. Lobster Bisque (3.25/5) - Creamy and pleasant, but I don't think I could eat a lot of it. I'm glad I only got a cup of it to share. Claimed to be "Atlanta's BEST for 25 years," so I had to try. First experience eating a lobster bisque, but the chunks tasted more like imitation crab? Probably would skip if I returned here. SERVICE: Service was pleasant, but not super fast. Getting your order taken took a hot minute, but once that was out of the way, you got your food pretty fast. TLDR// I would come here every Wednesday if I lived in Atlanta because the oyster specials are such great deals. Can't speak on any other menu item, but you can't beat the price on Wednesdays.

I ordered a honey bourbon Blaze salmon with mac & cheese and mashed potatoes lol yes two starches. And I also got some fried pickles. I was not a fan of the chipotle sauce. I said the soup came with so I got ranch instead. The salmon was cooked perfectly very fresh and the glaze really gave it a different type of kick. The mac & cheese is very creamy and thick so I suggest they get silverware because the plastic silverware didn't know justice lol the mashed potatoes was good. It had skins from the potatoes still in it, which I'm definitely enjoy, and it was seasoned perfectly. My Bartender was named Has she was very attentive and very sweet. I definitely enjoyed this location a lot better than the Riverdale area.

The martini was decent, but I was told the watermelon flavor would be $1 and ended up being charged $3, which was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, the food across the board just didn't hit for me. It wasn't terrible, but nothing I'd order again. The service was also lacking, and the atmosphere felt a little unwelcoming and cliquey. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but it wasn't my best experience.

This restaurant is really the best kept secret in Atlanta!…read more My family visited here this week for the first time since around 2014 and, despite our fears that it wouldn't live up to the great experience we had then, they EXCEEDED our expectations. We ordered so much and everything was delicious - nothing below an 8/10 in my opinion. We ordered the seafood spring rolls (8/10), crab benigets (8/10 with a special note of originality), and the shrimp appetizer (10/10). Spring rolls- very crispy and flaky, had the "sea floor" variety of seafood inside, flavorful 3 sauces to go with it Crab beignets- a slightly cheesy and airy beignet with a genius crab dip blend. The whole table was surprised on how good it was. Shrimp appetizer- the best "bang bang" shrimp I've had. Shrimps are very large and has a nice fruit salsa to go with. Everyone at the table loved their entrees but I can only truly speak for the ones I tried. Seafood Curry- I will NEVER eat curry anywhere else! I LOVEEEEE THIS CURRY! All the seafood is so fresh, the curry is so flavorful that I literally slurped the rest off my plate. There was also such a variety of veggies in there that were also very fresh and firm (not soggy). For the price especially, you get sooooo much and with such a thoughtful recipe. According to our waitress, it's the only recipe that hasn't changed since the restaurant opened in 2012! Fried chicken - I didn't try the chicken itself, but I did try the Mac and cheese and greens that came with it. Let me tell you, I am very picky about Mac and cheese and this rivals the best Mac and cheese I've had in Atlanta (toast on Lenox)! The greens were also fantastic and flavorful, but a little on the sweet side if that's what your preference is. For dessert, all 4 of us shared one slice of the suspension cake and couldn't even finish it! It was ginormous (literally the size of your head). I won't even go into details- just order it! The ambiance is so intimate and unique- not feeling like an "uptight" boujie restaurant, but curated and thoughtful. They have very nice seating outdoor that is enclosed as well as a beautiful bar area. Lastly, the service is fantastic. I genuinely can't recall my waitresses name, but they speak so highly of the head chef (Calvin) and most have worked there 8+ years, so it really feels like home. I write this review with hesitance because I want this place to remain a secret, but how could I not brag! Book the reservation!

We intentionally avoided reading reviews because we wanted to form our own opinion, and we're so glad we did. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the host, which immediately set the tone for a great dining experience. Once seated, our waiter was attentive, personable, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care that we enjoyed our meal. The food was outstanding, the drinks were excellent. Poor Calvin's delivered from start to finish. If you're visiting Atlanta or you're a local looking for a restaurant that combines exceptional food with outstanding hospitality, Poor Calvin's is well worth the visit. We left with absolutely no complaints and look forward to returning the next time we're in Atlanta.
