This is a pretty good BBQ option for the local area. Pulled pork and slaw are a solid choice if you're undecided. The mac and cheese is average. They've come into their own in taking over from the previous owners of The Dogwood. The BBQ was always good, but they're finding creative ways to showcase it. We love this place. Just ate there again last night. Service is friendly and fast. I had the Cowgirl sandwich, which is smoked brisket topped with an onion ring and cole slaw. Delish. The food at this place deserves a 5/5. The service was OK....maybe even consider it good for the most part. There was one server we had who seemed extremely annoyed and was condescending when talking to us. My group of friends and I were super uncomfortable there until we started getting our food and the rest of the staff came out. My family went to the new location for Wahoo Barbecue for dinner and the food was fantastic. It was their second night and it was very busy. The wait staff were stressed but did a fantastic job. The portion sizes were very generous. We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, and wings. The Mac and cheese was excellent. Probably the best restaurant Mac and cheese I've had. Tried to order 4 meat platter. Wasn't allowed to get the entire platter of the same meat. I was told that the 4 meat was to try the meats (the patter price increases with each meat ,what could it possibly matter if you want 1 or 4 different types). Wine- no brand on the menu, just flavors. Pino tasted like a Cabernet. Service was odd at best, server took appetizer order and never returned, manager stopped by and took our order, only good service was the busboy. The busboy had to get our check. The beef brisket is excellent. My boomer friend who likes Q says it is the best brisket he's ever had. The service is kinda slow sometimes, but I think it's worth it and I am fairly impatient. What else stands out? The fries are really good, and the deep fried Oreos, and the Texas twinkies (stuffed jalapenos) are YUGE and delicious. Oh, and the wings are really good. They have moved to a bigger building which means dine in is a thing. They are the best BBQ in the area and best of all they are nearby.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant since the name change and the food was decent but the service left A LOT to be desired. An older lady with gray hair (in a pony tail) waited on us and she was quite rude! We asked her questions about the menu and she seemed annoyed that we were breathing in her presence. Funny thing tho She was super friendly to the table beside us (guessing they were regulars) but she acted like we were bothering her and she could barely tolerate us. Everyone else was super friendly that came to our table. I would say y'all need to do yourselves a favor and get rid of her Bc in all honesty it doesn't matter how good the food is if the service is bad and the servers are rude you're not gonna keep a loyal customer base! read more

Highly recommend The Works burger and the brisket soup. The bar drinks were some of the best we've had in quite a while and we dine out frequently in CHO. Absolutely delicious! We have tried it all - the ribs, the brisket, the chicken - it is all flavorful, moist and delicious! Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful. The only "problem" is that we pass right by WAHOO BBQ on the way home from church and school, so it is tempting to stop and get some to take home for dinner almost every day and to do that six days a week would be a real budget buster, so we have to practice real restraint ...which is okay because it just makes it that much better we we do allow ourselves the treat of stopping in to get some WAHOO BBQ! read more
