Wonderful restaurant with a laid-back vibe. Family friendly, nice selection on the menu. Waiter was attentive and friendly. Easily accessed off of the interstate and located near several hotels. Recommend.

I had lunch here with a client on a quiet Monday late morning (about 11:30). The service was good and the food was pretty good. I mean, I definitely had better, but that dies not mean that it was not an enjoyable lunch. I ended up going with the blackened grouper sandwich with creamed collard greens. My business client went with the jambalaya. For the price maybe there could have been a bit more food, but all in all, it was not bad. The restaurant is down a quiet side street that leads basically to this restaurant and what looks to be a closed hotel. It is just off of Interstate 10, so if you are traveling and want a good meal but not wanting to stray too far off of the interstate, this would be a good option. I guess that I will give it a solid four stars.

The atmosphere is 5 stars but everything else from the service, to the taste to the price is 2 stars at best. My family was road tripping from Texas to Florida and stopped here for Sunday lunch on the last day of our drive. There were 2 servers working at 1pm and so everything was very slow. The kids Mac and cheese is $6.99 for about 3 spoon fulls of bites, I couldn't believe how small the "bowl" was. And the catfish was $15 for 1 piece of fish and then of course they cover the plate in more French fries than you could eat to make it look like it's worth your money. By the time we were done eating and ready for our check, we waited about 15 minutes for her to come around and then finally just went to the bar and asked to pay out so we could get back on the road. I wouldn't dine again or recommend to another.

I was DISAPPOINTED. Just DISAPPOINTED. The food was NOT good and definitely NOT New Orleans. The food was downright horrible. Despite the inside appearance, the tacky décor and signs plastered all over the place, I really wanted to like this place, and it breaks my heart to have to write this review. I ordered two dinners. The 10-piece catfish strips with fries and and the 6-piece shrimp with hushpuppies at a total cost of $16.66. It took about 15 - 20 minutes to get my order. Everything tasted like it was fried in cooking oil that was beyond its life and needed to be changed. The catfish strips were small, overcooked, dark in color, dry, and had the flavor of burnt oil / grease. The shrimps were small, overcooked, dry, and tasted like it was cooked in burnt oil / grease. The fries were soggy and just like the fish and shrimp had a burnt taste to them. The hushpuppies were the only thing that was eatable and had great flavor. I only ate 2 pieces of the horrible catfish strips, 3 small shrimps, and a couple of the hushpuppies because that's all my stomach could only tolerate. New Orleans Seafood was a total let down. This may be a locally owned and operated small business, but my goodness, have some standards when it comes to restaurant appearance and food quality.

He finger poked thaat iPad so much that I felt sorry for it. he did complain constantly, but said the food would be out shortly. I asked him about the size of the said they were all sizes and I said OK. He did end up charging extra for a larger one which I did not ask for and he did not let me know . He completely forgot my sister's shrimp Poboy? the gumbo was so salty none of us could eat it. The mullet and catfish were so overcooked and cornmealed that they tasted the same and were both so overcooked there was little meat left to eat. The red beans and rice were OK nothing fancy hard to screw that up. The gumbo might have tasted good except for being so salty it was inedible. Two other people came in, ordered and ate before our take out order was ready. The server was so unkind to us, complained so much about us just being there and wanting food that I believe he sabotage our food to pay us back. I can't imagine anyone being happy with the quality of food that we ended up taking back to the hospital with us. We were there with our sister whose son was in Neuro ICU. We have to go back to Tallahassee from Orlando to continue the vigil over my sister's son. I would eat at Popeyes fried chicken before I would go back to this place. oh! I almost forgot. He overcharged me for the mullet sandwich. I would post a picture of the receipt, but I don't think this review allows it.

As you walk in great to be welcomed by what looks like a place where the locals meaning college crowd hang out. Dropped with sports and college memorabilia, well used tables and chairs, we were properly greeted by a young college student. Quickly shown to our tables we were welcomed by our waitress. She was very friendly and helpful in highlighting some of the better dishes. So we ordered the gator appetizer which was lightly breaded and tasted very fresh, served with a side of remoulade dipping sauce. Then we had a bowl of seafood gumbo and the red beans and rice with have a hot link. Both dishes were very flavorful and I would definitely recommend them. The only negative is that they were both a little on the salty side for our liking. Oh and my wife had hoped for more okra in the gumbo. But yes I would definitely recommend this place and it was great to see a diverse crown from young kids to the elderly in what looked like a college bar environment.

My friend is addicted to their burgers and always asks for them to be flattened a little on the griddle because he doesn't like thicker burgers. Delicious- all the time. Today, I was in the mood for fried seafood. I've had their seafood pasta which is terrific. I wanted to know if the shrimp was fresh or frozen and the waitress went back to ask. She said they were fresh from southern seafood. I ordered the catfish and shrimp platter. I wish I had remembered to ask for them lightly fried. When I saw the shrimp, I knew it was overdone. The batter on it was not light and flaky like on the onion rings. The catfish were small nuggets and I got about six of them. The saving grace was the delicious cocktail and tartar sauce. I don't think I'll be ordering fried seafood from this location again. The hush puppies were dense, heavy, tasteless and inedible. I took a bite and spit it into my napkin. I will eat at coosh's again because I know some of their food is very good. I even like their custom dressings and seasonings. Well, this visit was nice, the bathrooms were clean, the waitress seemed to forget us when it came time for the checks. --------------------- This is from another visit: I've been to Coosh's several times and enjoy the food. However, there are two things lacking. One would be the service and two would be clean bathrooms. I arrived first thing in the morning for breakfast. The service was slow and there were not many patrons in the restaurant. The beignets were very good. My chorizo and eggs with corn tortillas were great and the grits were perfectly seasoned. However, when I went to the restroom to wash my hands, the floor was so sticky my feet would stick to it. My sneakers made sounds as they were pulled from the floor as I walked. The sinks were dirty and the toilet was not much better. A lot of young people work here which is a good thing but it seems like they have very little oversight. Tables were left sitting without being bussed. This restaurant has a potential to be a four-star restaurant. Because of the slow service and the dirty restrooms I removed a star.

And its 4.4-star rating out of 600+ via Uber Eats was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. Looking through the menu of Harry's, I took interest in and ended up ordering their fried grouper sandwich with Harry's collard greens, and a key lime pie, which both were items I had an interest in trying while visiting the city of Tallahassee. Whether it be Grubhub or now Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Much praise to the Uber Eats delivery driver, Dezi, for arriving with my order at a reasonable time, as well as meeting me in front of the hotel. And Dezi also confirmed that it was me grabbing the order, which I cannot thank her so much for. Once I retrieved my order, it was so hard to not smell it inside of the elevator while heading up to my hotel room. First, I want to say that I was satisfied with the presentation of what I ordered. However, I was not satisfied with the way it was placed inside of the bag, which led to the collard greens leaking slightly, and the cream of the lime pie being splattered around the container. Now my mouth salivated prior to taking my first bite of the grouper sandwich, which appeared big! It could have easily turned into the only meal I ate for the evening and I was not complaining about that. It tasted just as good as it appeared with the addition of tartar sauce which I put a whole glob of it on, tehehe. The grouper sandwich made me forget about the way my food was placed inside of the bag. After letting the grouper sandwich settle off my taste buds, I went for the collard greens, which I enjoyed outside of picking out the chunks of meat! There was a point while eating the collard greens, I said to myself "This is good!". If you love collard greens as much as I do, then I recommend Harry's collard greens, but keep in mind that it has meat chunks inside of it. Now, I saved the best for last, which was the key lime pie! Mm... It was basically a cheesecake in the form of lime pie! And oh my was it tasty! I would be lying if I said that I left some crumbs behind because it sure was satisfying. Okay, Harry's you have won over this traveler from the Midwest. Being that I had a great ordering experience, I would surely order from Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille again whether it be Uber Eats delivery or takeout whenever visiting the city of Tallahassee. I rarely complain -- I've been a server myself, so I understand how things can get -- but there were only four tables in the entire restaurant and we still felt ignored. It took a long time just to be greeted, and even longer to get our drinks, despite the place being almost empty. The food itself was good, but the service didn't improve. She only asked if my husband wanted another beer and didn't offer refills to anyone else at the table. We also waited way too long to get our bill. When my husband asked (twice) if Walk-On's offered a military discount, she went ahead and ran the card anyway and acted like she didn't hear the question. She eventually got it corrected, but the interaction felt careless. When she brought the check back, she even told us NOT to fill out the survey -- which honestly felt like she knew the service hadn't been good.
