We missed this place the last few years we moved away and are glad we could get back. I ordered the Banzai burrito and hubby the Banzai bowl. Both were with tofu, brown rice and Cajun beans. We are glad there are multiple options for protein, your choice of beans and your choice of rice. The flavors are incredible and you get plenty of food for the price. My son and I came here since everything else was packed and had 1-2 hour wait in Sunday afternoon. It must have been meant to be because we didn't have to wait and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch! I love Wahoo's and this location is no exception. It's really good fresh food in a casual setting that's fun to look at. It might not be fancy (it's not fancy), but it's certainly well-adorned with visual stimuli. My kid loves it because not only do they have a satisfactory kids' menu but they also give out stickers. Outer Reef Burrito with shrimp! So happy to have Wahoo's in Temecula. Last night we went in and they really redeemed themselves. Service as usual was top notch from the woman who took our order to the lady who brought out the food and picked up our plates after we had eaten. PBR was the "beer of the month" so I got a 16oz can at a reduced price. My wife had the "Baja-ladas" which are made with chicken, cream cheese, spinach and she opted for red sauce. With rice and black beans on the plate it was a MEAL. My burrito was succulent! If they had lobster I'd be in hog heaven but the shrimp were perfectly cooked and our order came up real fast. Others write about freshness and it's true, you can really taste the difference here. The fish taco joint that begins with an "R" pre-cooks their battered fish and keeps them in a warming drawer. Not Wahoo's! The food here is a cut above many "fast casual" places and quality wise more like a good sit down restaurant. Love the surf/skate vibe here, too. read more

Love this place for what it is. I don't see this place being Mexican food other then the salsa but hey the call it Mexican so I will go with it. To me I grew up on the beach in Del Mar so I categorize it as Surf food. I pretty much get the Protein Bowl and my girlfriend gets the Shredder every time with Carne Asada. I love their version of coleslaw and sautéed vegetables no mushrooms. The black beans and white rice is a must every time I like to add Pico de Gallo to it. I've never had a bad experience here but keep in mind it's counter service casual food reasonable price, $30 for two people. If your in the area go by here you will be happy you did! read more

I can't say anything bad about this place. My dad and I, have been coming here about twice a month, for more then 2 years. They pretty much know what we are going to order. (Dad)1 #1 combo with 1 spicy fish taco and spicy with white beans and rice. (Tim)1 #2 combo 2 spicy fish taco and the same rice and beans with 2 sodas. They automatically give us chips and salsa, normally they charge for it, along with the spiciest hot sauce from the back. Sometimes they have a special promotional hot sauce, which they carry for a short time. Hillbilly Hellfire awesome hot sauce, we've been able to score a couple of bottles. When asked if we could buy it, the answer was always no, you can have it. Great Service, always with a smile. Prices are a little higher, but you definitely get a lot of food for what you pay for. Customer service is also okay... no complaints here. Like every first time, I was nervous but calm and collected. Luckily, I wasn't alone and brought my wife for support. Everyone involved had a great time. My first visit to the famed food joint covered in sticker graffiti that is Wahoo's was a chance visit. I had no real intention of visiting this location, miles from my home - until I was given a free taco voucher at Bear Mountain. Much to my surprise, it was located right off the I-15 on my way home from the slopes. The interior was splattered with stickers from the walls, to chairs and windows but also had some great signed sports gear mixed in. After talking to the really friendly staff to place our order, we chose a booth to lay our tired souls. The place reminded me of an (even more) Americanized Rubios but with fast, personal service. Our food was ready within a few minutes, hot from the kitchen. We really missed having a "salsa bar" to grab salsa and limes but the staff was quick to bring both upon request. Not only do the staff deliver the food to your table, but they clean up your plates when done. Does that mean I leave a tip? I am confused. I dropped a few bucks on the table just so they know we noticed. My wife ordered two fish tacos and they came out a bit dry. They were not breaded but this helped you taste the fish a bit better. To add some moisture, it helped to dump some green sauce. I ordered a marinated pork taco that came with a handful of dived tomatoes, cheese and a lime wedge. The meat was super juicy and packed with flavor. This will not be my last encounter at Wahoo's but it's a shame they are right next to Spicy Pickle. If I am going to drive North that far, my wife will surely convince me to stop there instead. read more

Wahoos used to be one of my favorite quick places to eat when I happened to be Costa Mesa, long before they brought one to Temecula. Now that they've opened this one literally 10 min from me, I've only been here a handful of times, but each time the food is delicious and I end up wondering why I don't frequent it more. Today my girlfriend and I got their Paleo plate and the slim bonsai bowl. The Paleo plate came with 2 proteins (she picked the mild chicken & carne asada), mixed veggies, citrus slaw, and a sliced avocado. The slim bonzai bowl came with your choice of protein (I got the spicy chicken), mixed veggies, and citrus slaw all on brown rice. Normally when you order a "slim" or "light" anything at most places, it means a smaller portion that leaves you still hungry. Both meals were a great size, very tasty, and left us feeling stuffed after. If you're not in the mood for a lot of veggies, I'd recommend trying one of their burritos. I found this place recently and I love their skinny avo tacos. We have been a few times and everything was just fine but I had a less than stellar experience tonight when we visited. I ordered my usual skinny avo tacos and so did my husband along with drinks and our kids meals. Well, when our food came out all of our tacos were missing their avocado and when we brought it to the staffs attention they said that it was imputed into the computer wrong and said that we would have to pay more. We were upset because we just asked them to make it right and they refused. It was not my fault that they made a mistake taking my order. $1.50 worth of avocado isn't worth losing a customer over. Was in the neighborhood for a round of golf and stopped by to try the new Salmon. Super good! Great taste and very moist, which isn't easy when dealing with salmon. The citrus slaw and aioli that comes with the salmon also adds great flavor while not masking the salmon flavor. All I can say is I waited impatiently for the Temecula place to open and I have eaten there at least dozen times, even my litle one hankers for some fish tacos, so its off we go. Price is way reasonable because we have such a tight budget, so eating out is planned, but Wahoo's Is well with reason and the two taco platter is the way to go. The onion rings are so good --now I am a french fry gal (see red robin review) but I dig me an order of the onion rings here. You can do the Wahoo bowl or Kahuna Burrito.. but the ahi rice and beans 1/2 & 1/2 is a family favorite with extra tacos on the side-- my kids would drink the salsa if they could get away with it. Its just fresh and zsingy and has enough kick that makes the fish tacos pop! Its on Overland and Margarita stop off tonight on your way home, ya I know your tired after your commute -aren't we all, but order up a few combos for the family to share and get a a great fast, fresh dinner that is healthy not fried.
