WaiTiki is the hidden gem of Wall Street Plaza. It has great food and some decent drink specials (Red Stripe is $2.50). If you go at midnight on a Friday night it will be packed, but it's a good place to go for lunch or dinner, or for a football game and doesn't get very crowded during the day. I'm only giving them three stars because they don't have draft beer, and they have some problems with how their TVs are wired. Unfortunately, two of four TVs at the bar and all the TVs around the perimeter of the restaurant are all tied to the same DirecTV receiver - meaning they all have to be on the same channel. This means that around 6 of 8 TVs all have to be on the same football game, making it difficult to watch different games. The staff seems very frustrated by this and said they've complained to the owner many times, but nothing has been done. read more

I walked over to Wall Street at lunch specifically to try the BBQ at Sauced. Much to my surprise it was closed with a sign out front stating their menu was available at Waitiki starting January 17. I like Waitiki's location, especially the outdoor seating, so I wasn't too disappointed in the move. After making my way across the street to Waitiki and finding a seat I was reviewing the Sauced menu (along with a copy of the Waitiki menu) with a sweet tea at hand. Not sure whether I wanted the pulled pork or beef brisket, I asked the waitress for her reocmmendation. She said she really liked the brisket so I ordered the brisket. When delivered my sandwich was piled high with brisket and covered with my chosen sauce. (I am a sauce gal so I would have preferred more sauce, maybe even some for dipping my fries as well.) The first bite of beef brisket off the plate wasn't too impressive but a few more bites into the actual sandwich I was a happy camper. The brisket was tender and had good flavor but not too over powering on the smoke. The meat was very juicy and did I mention it was stacked high? It's no Bubbalou's and I suspect 4Rivers is better as well (I haven't braved the line yet) but it was a delicious BBQ sandwich right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance of my office. Now I have been to Waitiki before for drinks and apps. I love the location on Wall Street and I love sitting on their shaded porch for lunch on the weekends. This is a fun bar with a great theme but the food on the regular menu is too hit or miss to count on. The Sauced menu just might lure me down to Wall Street for weekday lunches if they can keep it consistent. read more

Try the hush puppies... they are huge and in a sweet 'n spicy sauce. Those, the 2.50 Red Stripe, the Lilo and Stitch decor plus the fine selection of clientele ranging from 20's to 40's makes this place welcoming. My wife and I were here on a Saturday night. The food was good and the DJ played great 80 and 90's tunes. Overall the vibe was great lots of people celebrating and laughing, and singing alone to some sweet music. Check it out you should like it. Plus $2.50 Red Stripe beer all the time! read more

Very disappointed. Went down to Wall St to dine at Sauced only to find closed; bummer. So we headed to waitiki's instead. I practically had to reorder my entire meal a everything they brought out was very sub par. We had dessert for appetizers, and I ordered the cookies and cream and the cookies were hard as a brick. I told the waitress and she brought out fresher warmer cookies. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos and sweet potato fries and the entire dish was cold, I suppose from sitting around too long. I only complained about the fries, and she brought out warmer fries. I just suffered through my tasteless cold fish tacos with the extra cheese I ordered, in a plastic cup (wtf?) I ordered a mimosa the first one she brought out was perfect. but the second one was different and tasted like they used beer and not champagne. *sigh* I just suffered through that as well. I'm assuming based on the other reviews the happy hour is pretty good and the bar is the main attraction. But I would not come here on a Saturday afternoon to dine ever again. Wall Street is a prime location to be on a Friday or Saturday in Downtown Orlando. Within Wall Street is WaiTiki, and it's one of my favorites! The music is a mix of 80's 90's and 00's and really fun to listen to. Red Stripes are $2.50. Overall, it's a good place to start your epic night in Downtown Orlando. read more

I actually ran across this bar while looking for an atm to get cash, and the bartender (humorously speaking) told me and my friends had to buy a drink to use the atm. So we figured we might as well, then we got to talking and enjoying ourselves. We ended up staying and having several more drinks. It was an amazing atmosphere, the people were very nice and enjoyable. I am also a bartender so we discussed a couple of my secret drink recipes. And she let me order my signature drink after i explained it to her. I haven't tried any of the food so I can't give my opinion on it. But I definitely plan to try the food next time. One of the most dangerous happy hours in town. Cheesy, as is all wall st, but fun.

Nice tiki bar feeling place. Not much to rave about, but the drinks are good and they make many tropical island type drinks.

This is a fun bar in the Wall St Complex with a real island feel. Cute tables with bamboo and grass like umbrellas on their wrap around patio as well as a good sized inside area with a large bar and tables makes it a popular spot for all those traveling to Wall St.. It can get crowded since it is part of the larger complex but I enjoy coming here before the crowds hit and enjoying something tasty off their menu. The fish dip is a favorite of mine and really hits the spot with a mojito. The service has always been friendly and attentive and I love a good tropical feel bar so this would top my list of Wall St. joints. read more

I came on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks. It wasn't too crowded, the service was great, the atmosphere was relaxed. The lighting was just right, not too bright. I got the Mahi sticks (which is an appetizer) for dinner and it was large enough for an entree. It was pretty good. I was a little disappointed with the lack of drink specials though. read more

Went here last Saturday the servers were good but the bartenders were terrible. I was trying to get bartenders attention they were talking to each other and not wanting anything to do with serving customers, me and my girlfriend couldn't get served, I was waving to the bartenders trying to get there attention and one came over waving in my face mocking me, the guy next to me said why are they like that? I'm like I have no idea. Finally a girl waited on me and wasn't friendly and I still tipped well as I always will. It wasn't busy with people wanting driks, so their was no excuse, My girlfriend came up to the bar later and had the same experience they weren't friendly to her and I've never seen an establishment like this I owned a bar myself and I have never seen a staff so unfriendly and so unwilling to help and they're working on Tips pretty much so this makes no sense to me I will not be going back read more

I'm in love with the decor of this restaurant/bar. I feel like im in Key West! They always have $2.50 Red Stripes, which is a great deal. The food selection is so so...really nothing for a vegetarian except the sides. However, I still keep going back for the cheap beer and good service. read more

This place is always my go to for drinks and a good DJ for the weekends but today I came to see the Orlando City / Venezuela-Argentina game and ordered a Kahuna Burger ($9) but it was not worth it. It was definately much smaller than other places in Orlando. The fries were good but there was nothing about the burger that was "kahuna-like." I was hoping to have some kind of pineapple or sauce for the fries and there was nothing. The servers and bartenders are nice but he food isn't worth it, go to gringos locos around the corner instead. read more

Don't come here thinking that you are going to a 'tiki bar', this is a neighborhood dive with a couple of tiki themed decorations, oh and the name says WaiTiki - that's about the extent of it. Very disappointing. Go to Aku Aku for a real tiki experience. read more

Very nice group on a Tuesday evening. Very hot outside and this was the perfect spot to sit at the bar and enjoy a cold drink.

This review is strictly for the chicken tenders and fries. I go to Wallstreet to drink and not to eat usually. But there is one thing I have always loved, and that was the chicken tenders and fries from Waitiki. Idk if the chef changed or this is some cost cutting measure. But this is no better than what you can get at burger King. Don't waste your money. It what some weird crust that's not breaded or flour based, it had no flavor to it. Bring back the original, or get rid of that new chef please. read more

Recently went on a trip to Disneyworld and made the treck to downtown Orlando to check out this tiki bar. It was a little hard to find because it on a walking street where no cars can drive down with a few other bars. Waitiki is a pretty big bar with lots of really cool Tiki artwork. It's menu of classic tiki drinks is not extensive (less than 10) and it seems that they're trying to appeal to a more mainstream audience with more common cocktails, opposed to the classic island drinks. Unfortunately the bar was sold by the original owner to a new guy who does not appear to know alot about or have a strong appreciate for the tiki culture. Luckily they haven't changed any of the decor but not sure how much longer they'll keep it with more and more college kids frequenting the bar. Overall a fun experience for an afternoon happy hour. Went when it wasn't crowded so got to really enjoy the bar itself as it sounds like it gets pretty packed at night. If you are a tiki-lover like me and don't want to get stuck with a bunch of drunk college kids, definitely go during the day so you can really enjoy the bar, its artwork, carvings, and cool tiki mugs. They even let me buy one of the mugs!! On a side note, the food was delicious and the chef made me custom mushroom cabbage vegetarian tacos and the tiki drinks which we did order were delicious as well. read more

Having been to Waikiki (not to be confused with WaiTiki), surprisingly, there are not many Tiki bars around Waikiki. The bars and clubs are more cosmopolitan with the exception of hotel bars that have more of a tiki tropical theme. They actually cracked down on the nightlife in Waikiki which is half-full of Japanese tourists. It's more like Midtown Manhattan with loads of upscale shops. This place has a huge bar in the center and tables on the side. There really isn't much room for dancing or mingling. The crowd is a bit older than Hooch's across the way, but none-the-less, quite a few young folks. After Wolrd War II with all the exposure to Polynesia, a lot of Americans created tiki bars and lounges in their home cities, so across America, there were loads of tiki bars with exotic drinks. But then the fad died. I'm not sure how long this place has been open, but maybe it's retro. While classic craft cocktails from the 20's and 50's are big now, the hipsters are looking for a new fad. Besides microdistilleries and molecular drinks, I think it could be retro-tiki. There's a tiki bar in Las Vegas and one famous one in San Francisco with flaming drinks. read more
