Had an amazing stay here during the Christmas season a few years ago. It was absolutely lovely…read more Their breakfast was delicious. And they have a special time in the day called "cozy hour" where each guests can have 1 complimentary drink (beer, wine, or juice). On Christmas day we actually went to spa attached to the hotel as a present to ourselves. We each got a massage. Jacuzzi. Steam room. Ice cold shower. And this calming tea they gave to all of the guests.

Not to mention it was really close to Torvehallerne Square, which is around an eight-minute walk from the hotel. I arrived early, before check-in, and the reception staff offered to hold my luggage so I could explore the city. They give you a code and place it in a locked and video-monitored closet down in the basement. It was easy to do and safe for your belongings. After some exploring, I returned to the hotel around 4 PM and finally checked in. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my single room had been upgraded to a larger room for free. I was stoked to hear that and loved the room and location they gave me. The room was beautifully furnished and was very clean! The only downside is the no AC. The temperature that day was in the low 60s (60-63 degrees). This may sound nice, but it was rather toasty in my room. They had a standing fan that, unfortunately, did not rotate, but it helped somewhat. They give you very heavy-duty duvets that are better for winter weather, but thankfully, I opened some of the windows in my room, which made it more bearable to sleep at night. The staff here was so friendly and accommodating. It's very close to plenty of sights, attractions, and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. It's a beautifully decorated hotel, with lovely rooms and an excellent location.

This is very much a very nice American hotel, typical of Marriott. Having stayed previously that…read moreweek at a local hotel (St Annæ), which we throughly enjoyed, (5* rating) it was quite the culture change. We booked both as wheelchair accessible and while the Marriott has textured bathroom tile floors unlike the St Annæ's slippery smooth tiles, the lower than ADA allowed toilet was a problem. Also only one of the four table lamps worked. The room's door closer and threshold made egress very difficult. Staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good but subpar to the local hotel's. The location is pretty along the harbor, next to BIG's swimming and sauna chalet, and they provide robes and towels for daring guests. However it is a bit isolated from the many nicer local shops and restaurants.

The staff is friendly and quick to help. There are several amenities available on-site. The bathtub is high with a slope on all sides, making it very slippery to get in and out (1/2 star off). There is no rubber bath mat to prevent slippage. Be careful. The location is great if you are looking to mostly stay on the canal and walk around the boardwalk. However, it is 15 minute walk to the nearest metro station and city center. There is a hotel restaurant, but no other restaurants nearby within 15 minute walk. This is fine for the summer, but inconvenient in sub-zero temperatures (1/2 star off). I stayed here in February, so found myself rather trapped unless I take a taxi everywhere.

It's such a cute little hotel that is owned by a non-profit that serves sailors. When we checked…read morein, we had the most wonderful chat with the front desk lady (I lost my note, but I think her name is Miriam). She told us so much of the history of the hotel, so it just made the stay more special. It started as a safe place to stay for sailors and morphed over time to become what it is. She shared her knowledge of sites to see. The location was absolutely 5*. Look out the window and you see a postcard view of Copenhagen that everyone thinks of. The room itself wasn't fancy like a Ritz, but the cozy boutique atmosphere makes up for all that. The room was nice and clean, had a comfortable bed, lots of windows that open up to fresh air. It turned out there was a downside to that as well. People were out all night, so we could hear all the drunken singing in the street through the night, but that was not the fault of the hotel. Maybe the beer brewers, but not the hotel.

The most important feature of a hotel is a comfortable bed and quiet room. We were pleased when we had rooms facing the inside courtyard (instead of the noisy street) but very early in the morning, we were rudely awaken to sustained loud clattering over cobblestones. The next most important feature is wifi internet: the wifi internet was spotty and kept dropping for 1.5 hours and then went down completed for over 1.5 hours and then we gave up; we reported it and it was not fixed. We stayed in 5 hotels across 5 cities in 3 countries and this was the worst hotel considering the cost. Their cancellation policy was not aligned with the other hotels (2 day cancellation vs. 1 day or same day cancellation). We stayed here based on the stellar reviews but were very disappointed. The hotel is located right on the Nyhavn canal in the heart of what had to be the most touristy area. It is a haul to get to the Little Mermaid or any good food. The beds are comfortable with a teeny bathroom (what you might expect on a cruise) with no counter space. There is 1 small Sony TV in 1 room with very little storage space. The included breakfast was good with cheese, cold cuts, cereals and breads (but in comparison to the other 4 Scandanavian hotels it was actually the least varied and Spartan). Don't make the mistake of staying here. You can get a better quieter hotel for the money!

Absolutely top notch from start to finish…read more All of the Staff were extremely helpful, from the moment you walk in, to the lobby, everything. Beautiful large, well lit lobby area where they serve an amazing brunch in the morning. I would recommend staying here for the brunch alone. Rooms were really nice, bed comfy. Hotel is in a prime location, you can walk to everything. I spent over a month in Europe in various locations, stayed in various hotels, this place was awesome! And finally, on my way out - (this was almost 2-years ago so apologize for late review). But when I was checking out Copenhagen was supporting the Tour de France, and a major part of the city was closed to road traffic. I had to get the the ferry terminal (to take the ferry to Oslo - which I highly recommend) And the concierge personally helped me with my bags, and walked me to the subway station and made sure I got on the correct train. He was absolutely phenomenal (picture included). I loved this place, and would 100% go back and stay here again.

During my recent visit, there was construction happening directly above my second floor room and it started at 7AM. When I asked the front desk, they were quick to apologize and offered breakfast which was nice. Apparently, the construction was not suppose to begin until 8AM, but it started at 7AM (at least above my room). At least I had to get up around that time, but the noise was shrill and unpleasant. Also, my room was exceedingly warm even with A/C running all night. I'd try the Skt. Petri again, but check to the status of the construction project. 3 stars during my visit, would expect it to be higher next time.

known now as Les Manon Suites…read more.. totally renovated with flat screen tvs now and fridges ..with free coffee /tea service in the room. typical european hotel with an organic touch i must say....elevator is a bit small but walls are covered in some kind of animal hide. the pool and jungle fish area was simply amazing. indoor and heated...the water was crystal clear and the ambiance gabe the impression of being in a jungle oasis.... bfast was truly scandinavian in every word....smoked salmon with organic bread, various dried fruits and nuts, milk for coffee and not cream, honey, figs, cheeses, pastries, etc...each item was wow! special mention to the croissants and bread...just heavenly melts in your mouth every bite. this is what europe is all about. staff , specially KIM, the manager was very hospitable and accommodating. made our stay as pleasant as possible and immediately resolved even the smallest issues that we had. location was central to dt copenhagen..,10mins walk...away from the crowds...but close to the action and essentials... a bit on the pricier side, but worth the experience! would surely stay again next time... cheers! happy travels!

When we got back it was 11:50 and checkout was 12:00. We asked for an extra 30 min... and the staff said "No". Or rather yes but they'd have to charge us an extra 400 kr (!!!) - after we paid for an early check-in on the front end of our already pricey multi-night stay. Strict hotel policy, probably to generate extra revenue. Even an extra 15 minutes would have been a huge help. We were of course not entitled to any special favors and the Manon Les Suites was within their rights but the lack of grace still sullied the end of our guest experience. The staff was so multi-lingual, kind and helpful. The room was cleverly laid out and well-appointed. The jungle pool was amazing and the bar and gym downstairs and the restaurant and roof deck on floor 6 were all beautiful. The location was convenient and walkable to lots (even if restaurants, shops and services were a ways away). We had a great stay until the end when we needed a little flexibility but were shooed out the door. A disappointing end to a an otherwise very pleasant visit.
