Decided to go here because of it's proximity to the Sphere and had a very good meal, despite some service lapses. Warm and friendly greetings, they took our picture and couldn't have been nicer. Beautiful space and pretty full for 6:00 on a Friday night. Waiter was solicitous and helpful with our sake order. Tried the sake tasting and liked one a lot so ordered a carafe. Started off with the crispy rice, and was surprised that it was DIY. While it was excellent quality, I prefer it pre made. Still waiting for the sake. Wanted to try the chef tasting of nigiri but they wouldn't let us choose not to have eel. Oh well, we ordered three first rate rolls. Perfect. Still no sake. Finally, when we're almost done with our sushi, here comes the sake. A little late but it did not go to waste. Overall, food was great, a little pricey, but this is Vegas. I really like the presentation. The lychee martini tasted perfect as well as the filet mignon. It was after I had the filet mignon when I started feeling like I just finished eating at a buffet, so I barely ate the mocha coconut soft serve in the end. Located in the Venetian/Palazzo, the place has amazing decor from the entrance to the 2 Sumo wrestlers in the middle of the restaurant! Lots of candlelit dining tables as well as a sushi bar. Started off each with a glass of Pinot Noir and it was very smooth and tasty! This was the last spot for my bday in Vegas of 2024! We both chose the yuzu margarita, but as a mocktail for me. It was delicious and refreshing! The decor is dark, trendy, and has pretty lanterns and a tree! We shared the kanpachi carpaccio, nori taco, marinated cucumbers, and wagyu flambe! Everything was so beautifully presented. Overall there were some very tasty items and their finale with the dessert was amazing for the kids. However... Beef skewers were over cooked. Filet's were excellent. The lobster service was delicious but I was told it was a whole lobster. I share it with my nephew who GMs an upscale restaurant in Connecticut and he laughed. It tasted great but please don't tell me that was a whole lobster from a guy who lobstered as a kid. I was surprised that our main courses came out at different times too. Beautiful dinner at Wakuda! We arrived with a group of six and we were friendly greeted by Jackie who took a group photo and walked us to our table. Our server, Coco, took the time to outline the menu and some of her favorites. Juan, the manager, stopped by and introduced himself which added to the fine dining experience. We've met Andy, the other restaurant manager before and although he was traveling, still sent over his best wishes to us. Initially, we weren't entirely happy with our assigned seating. However, we had the absolute pleasure of running into GT, a higher-level manager who isn't always on-site. He noticed our dissatisfaction and immediately went above and beyond, letting us handpick any table we preferred. On top of that, knowing it was my husband's birthday, GT personally brought over complimentary champagne to celebrate with us. It was such a thoughtful gesture that instantly elevated our evening. The hostess asked if we wanted group pictures taken in front of their neon wall and she took so many good ones. We had a table in the middle of the restaurant with the 2 Sumo wrestlers and cherry blossom trees as our backdrop. We ordered a lot of things to share and EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!! Here is what we ordered: miso soup, edamame, King Crab tempura, Smoked Wagyu fried rice (the server who delivered this sliced the over easy egg on top in front of us), Salmon sashimi, Dry Aged Cowboy (medium rare was cooked to perfection!) and Tobanyaki Scallops. The scallops come in an order of 4 but the waiter asked if we wanted to add another so we all got one. The scallop was the best I ever had. It was served in a bed of delicious mushrooms and some type of green vegetable with sauce and if I was home I would have licked the plate clean! We enjoyed various drinks. The boys had bottled beers and I tried the lychee martini (I wish I ordered another) and some type of spicy/sweet margarita. My birthday girl ordered some type of orange creamsicle drink then ordered another she liked it so much. For dessert we ordered the mochi ice cream and the Okinawa donuts with matcha cream filling, raspberry coulis served with salted caramel ice cream served on cookie butter crumble. Our waiter, Happy, hooked us up on the desserts for our birthday celebration AND also brought us the Kakigori with candy floss. We visited a few months ago on the last night of our Vegas trip and were completely blown away. This trip we made Wakuda our first AND last dinner reservations. Typically Nobu is a mandatory dinner during our Vegas trips, but honestly I'm not sure we will ever go back, even though there is nothing wrong with our old favorite. Wakuda is next level. Every bite of nigiri, the pork katsu, steak, cocktails and sake, is at the highest level. There isn't any place we have tried outside of Hawaii that compares to the fish quality. The staff is above and beyond welcoming and accommodating (my mom forgot her glasses and one of the managers took his own pair off and loaned them to her!). It's traditional Japanese with a creative and fun flair, lots of places to take pictures and the ambiance is not noisy or clubby even if it looks like a party spot at first glance. Waguy dumpling, Cesar salad, charred edamame, medium tuna and lean tuna were out of this world. The mini chicken ramen had amazing broth. All the rolls were made with love. The coffee room is delicious and the wagyu fat sea salt cookies are worth taking home and reheating! Portions of some things are small, but so well worth it. Dined here last week with my husband on our last trip to Vegas as a childless couple and it did not disappoint. We had been there a couple times prior to this visit but our most current dining experience was the most memorable by far. We arrived at the restaurant nearly 20 minutes prior to our reservation because we were super hungry and excited for another dining experience at Wakuda and the hostess graciously seated us. Our server, Victor, was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. He also made some great suggestions with the mocktails which added to our incredible experience. We enjoyed a variety of different dishes but our favorites were the grilled foie gras, the hidden treasure roll, lamb chops, tuna tartare + uni, wagyu/king crab nori tacos, foie gras sushi and the kakigori. They greeted us and even offered cute little glasses of champagne to sip on while we waited for our table. We weren't seated til 8:45ish but the hostess (Kim/Kimmy?) was very apologetic about the wait time. Food and drinks were fantastic! We loved everything we ordered. All raw items seemed high quality and tasted fresh! Hot items were cooked perfectly. The only thing I didn't care for was the duck because I don't eat duck but my friend said he liked that dish. Service was 5 stars! Jeromy was our server. He was wonderful and knowledgeable. At the end of dinner, he told us that the hostess felt bad we waited so long and wanted to treat us to dessert.
