The sushi was fresh and well prepared, and overall the dishes were solid. Service was great, very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is definitely a highlight, which is both stylish and lively, perfect for a celebration or big night out. Beautiful interior and a perfect mood for dinner! Kusa Nori at Resorts World has a stunning atmosphere with dimmed lighting that feels very upscale. We came in on a Friday around 5 PM without a reservation. The staff was accommodating, took our names, and sat us in a comfortable round booth shortly after. The food is excellent. We ordered the Chicken Karaage, a Kumiawase with the Umi Riku Roll, and the Negi Toro Roll. Every dish was delicately prepared. You can definitely taste the freshness and quality. We truly enjoyed the meal itself. My only word of caution is the drink markup. We asked for a sake recommendation and were steered toward a bottle priced at nearly $100, which we later realized retails for about $20 at a chain liquor store. We would describe our experience at Kusa Nori as very average. The sushi rolls all tasted the same and they were just OK. However, if you do choose to go to the restaurant, you MUST get the Wagyu Gyoza. Best Gyoza I've ever had. All in all, the restaurant is beautiful and our service was good. I have ran restaurants, I have eaten at some of the very best restaurants in the United States. Came here for our first dinner after arriving in Vegas, and boy did it provide! We came to celebrate my younger brother's 21st birthday and were quickly greeted by John our server. John was attentive, kind and very helpful with our ordering. He recommended us a fantastic sake for my brother to try. It was light and refreshing and paired really well with our food. Our server not only shut down reasonable dietary substitution requests (such as replacing shrimp with spicy tuna or salmon) but did so dismissively. He looked uninterested, made faces, and refused to even check with the chef. That lack of flexibility and attentiveness made the experience even worse. Appetizers were poor, the miso cod was overly sweet, and the robata vegetables were tough and unbalanced. While the manager was polite, our server was dismissive and refused reasonable substitutions. I was really looking forward to this Valentine's Day dinner, especially since the prix-fixe menu was $350 for two people, but unfortunately the experience did not match the price point at all. This place is beautiful and I had very high expectations. The food itself was disappointing. I've had much better meals for far less money. Our server strongly recommended one of the dishes from the pre-fixed menu -- which we were already pre-charged for -- and it ended up being extremely unpleasant in taste and not enjoyable at all. I understand these items were exclusive for the holiday, but they were very little in size. The atmosphere also took away from what was supposed to be a special evening. Throughout dinner, children were running around the restaurant and even approached our table multiple times, and nothing was done by staff to address it. I completely understand that families dine here and I have no issue with that, but for an expensive Valentine's Day experience, I expected better management of the environment or at least a warning or conversation with the family. Overall, for such a high-priced holiday menu, I expected a more elevated dining experience, better food quality, and a more controlled ambiance. This review is for their happy hour since we have yet to have dinner here. My husband and I decided to do some happy hour hopping before a comedy show here a few weekends ago. We are regulars at RW but had never been to Kusa Nori before. We were sat in the lounge area which made for great people watching - we even saw Kevin Hart walking by! We ordered sake bombs, the hamachi crispy rice, and the RWLV, Ko Tuna, Tsurai Yellowtail, and Ikari Salmon hand rolls. HOLY COW! I love crispy rice and will order tuna crispy rice whenever I see it on the menu. This hamachi crispy rice was probably one of the best, if not THE best, I've had. The hamachi was so tender, almost melt in your mouth, and all of the ingredients just melded together perfectly. The rice was crispy, but there was not so much rice as to overpower the fish. Now, let's talk about the hand rolls. If I could insert a drool emoji here, I would. The fish in the handrolls was also SO tender! I thought for sure the tuna hand roll was going to be my favorite, but I preferred the RWLV, yellowtail, and salmon handrolls. My husband and I were both so impressed. We kept talking about the hand rolls for the next week and decided to go back that following weekend for more. Our first visit to this Japanese inspired restaurant located in Resort World hotel. We stopped by without reservations and were unable to gain a table in the main area but were able to have a table in the bar area. The tables were spaced out well and were seated at a table along the rim of the bar that bordered on the mall walkway. This was nice for people watching as we had dinner. Table service was very good, which was quick and efficient throughout the meal. We ordered a specialty roll for an appetizer, and two entrees. The 3000 LVBLVD roll was the highlight of the meal, which was well prepared and very tasty. Entrees included the Blackhawk Wagyu steak and the Truffle Chicken Katsu. The Wagyu steak was cooked as ordered and very tender as it should, and the Chicken Katsu was prepared in a unique rolled method that I have not seen before. Both entrees were very good and would order again. Overall, for the pricing of the entrees, we would probably come for a variety of sushi rolls rather than a full dinner, as the roll was delicious.
