Dark, moody, and barely lit--in the best, most dramatic way. You step inside and it's like walking into a dream of cherry blossoms against rich, dark wood, with just pops of pink and black. Simple, striking, and seriously beautiful. We kicked things off with matcha martinis--small but mighty, just enough to spark the mood for everything that followed. Then came the lineup: chili rice, chili crab rice, a surf and turf roll, truffle salmon, edamame, and a pineapple upside-down cake with pistachio ice cream that sealed the deal. Every bite? Worth it. I'd order the whole thing again without blinking. Flavors were bold, combos were on point. Service hit that sweet spot--warm, attentive, but never hovering. You could tell she cared without making it a whole production. Plates disappeared quietly, like magic--efficient and totally unobtrusive. As the night picked up, so did the energy. The room got lively, a little loud, with club-style music that you wouldn't expect--but somehow, it worked. And it wasn't just a young crowd either, so don't picture a full-on nightclub scene. Would I go back? Absolutely. Just know--the prices match the vibe: very much Strip-level, not off-Strip bargains. But for the experience? Totally worth it.

The food was amazing, my friends and I did family style and shared the veggie fried rice, dragon roll, and rainbow roll. Definitely recommend all 3. The staff were friendly and professional.
We had a great experience at Komodo at the Fountainebleu! The very attractive, eye-catching room decor was awesome as well as the low lights. The music was perfect and the service was friendly and attentive. Their Asian-fusion dishes were out of this world! We ordered the Chilean sea bass and the Surf &Turf Fried Rice with Wagyu steak and Maine lobster! Both were fantastically delicious. Our cocktails were delicious. We appreciate our server, Nataly, who did a wonderful job of taking care of us. We will be back on our next trip to Vegas.
Tucked away in the food court area of Fontainebleau. Upscale Asian restaurant with a modern and lively ambiance. Perfect for couples or larger groups. Dishes are meant to be shared family style. The service was attentive and friendly. Food was pretty good with the exception of the miso lava cake which I wouldn't recommend. The overall experience was exactly was you would expect from a Vegas resort but I wouldn't call it anything spectacular. Definitely worth a try but I don't think it'll be one of our regular spots. Came for my gf's birthday dinner. Upon arrival, there were some issues with the reservation so the birthday girl spoke to the hostess to resolve the issue. As they were discussing the reservation, I noticed that the hostess had a very condescending tone with her which I noticed right away. Another hostess showed up and called someone to confirm our reservation then everything was fine. I feel as tho if there's an issue and the guest is being understanding then the hostess shouldn't have an attitude. That was my only issue which sucks cause the hostesses are your first point of contact when you arrive at the restaurant. Now Back to the real reason why we were there. We ordered a bunch of food to share. Started with cocktails, apps, entrees and dessert. The standout dishes were the spicy tuna roll and the skirt steak. The spicy roll was so good! I love the crunchy component added to the roll. Adds a nice texture. My favorite was the skirt steak. The marinade was perfection! Salty, sweet and the dipping sauce paired together was delicious. Would definitely order it again! The drinks are always good here. I love the red interior and low lighting of the restaurant. The music was going! RnB which I can appreciate.
The service was so good. Abel was the bartender who took our order and he was attentive and friendly. We ordered shishito peppers and when they came, they had bonito flakes on top. Very pretty but I'm not a seafood eater at all. He saw I was picking through the peppers and ordered a new plate without the bonito flakes. So kind. The A5 New York wagyu was melt in your mouth but better than even that!!!!! My husband had the Omakase traditional and it was a beautiful presentation and top notch quality. It is very much a dance club atmosphere but still a restaurant. Not sure if it turns into a club after or where people would dance... but that vibe is hittin. If you go... splurge a little... this is that place!
Amazing ambience, superb food and top notch service! Their menu is very well done and has lots of delicious diversity. The sushi melts in your mouth, and the spirits are very well presented! We had an excellent experience and I recommend this restaurant!! The bar is first come first serve but for the restaurant I recommend making reservations in advance.
Omgaaa whatever you do make reservations at this restaurant, located in Fountainbleau Hotel!!! I don't care where you're staying go here :) not only does it have a Vegas atmosphere with music playing but the food and drinks were amazing! Waygu Waygu Waygu! Is all I can say and the drinks were made right ;)
I honestly don't understand how this place doesn't have a full 5 stars. From the moment we walked in, everything just felt right. The service was great, very attentive but not over the top, and the staff made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The food was really impressive. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. The sashimi in particular was amazing, you can really taste the quality. I've been here a few times already and every time it's consistent. One of my favorites is the Bluffing Tuna Maki, I've ordered it more than once and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is also a big part of why I like this place so much. Good music, a fun vibe, and just an overall great energy that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy the night. I will definitely be coming back again. For me it's an easy 5 stars, honestly it deserves even more. The only thing I can think of is that it's not cheap, so maybe that's why some people don't give it a perfect rating. But in my opinion, you get what you pay for here. Totally worth it.
The vibe at Komodo is truly unmatched the music, ambiance, and efficient service all come together perfectly. We sat at the bar on a Saturday night and were lucky enough to snag three seats. The restaurant is huge, and the food absolutely delivers. We ordered the edamame, surf and turf roll, hamachi roll, spicy tuna roll (the crunch was mm mm good), beef dumplings, shrimp dumplings, surf and turf rice, sea bass (slightly overcooked), and the fried chicken the sauce was so good. The drinks were made to perfection. Overall, we were very happy with our experience and the high level of service.
Made a reservation for this restaurant because their menu looked really good. The decor was really nice, pretty fancy for sure. Our server (I didn't catch her name) was really nice, she was funny and made the experience great. The crispy beef appetizer was good, but I didn't care for the dipping sauce it came with. The jadori chicken was good, but the umami flavor was a bit much. The fried rice was good too. My Pineapple Express drink was pretty good, the pikachu was smooth and so was the mule. The birthday dessert was really nice, made the experience more pleasant. The snickers bar dessert was my favorite! A must try. The only reason I took off a star was because it took so long to get checked out and pay, literally about 30-45 minutes. Overall great place to enjoy dinner though.
Hands down one of the vibiest restaurants in Las Vegas. The food here has been consistently good every time I've visited, and the service has always been on point! I love all the restaurants at Fontainebleau, but Komodo is definitely one of my favorites. The atmosphere is beautiful, the food is decent, and vibes feels elevated The Banana Pagoda is amazing. Honestly, sometimes I end up coming back just for dessert. Komodo Las Vegas absolutely nails the vibe. Having lived in South Florida, I'm a big fan of the Miami location, and this one delivers the same energy and atmosphere. The must-order dish is the eggplant. I don't even like eggplant, but this version has the perfect crunch with a subtle sweetness that makes it incredibly addictive. The sea bass remains my all-time favorite and never disappoints. I also highly recommend the Money Bag dim sum and the Wagyu lettuce wraps, which are so substantial and flavorful they could easily be an entrée. The only misses for me were the Alaskan crab lo mein and the cabbage served alongside the sea bass. The cabbage felt like an odd pairing, and the lo mein was underwhelming you get what amounts to half of one crab leg, with most of the crab meat mixed into the sauce, so there wasn't much actual crab to enjoy. The drinks are fantastic. Ask for the off-menu lychee martini it's perfectly balanced and one of the highlights of the meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout the evening. Overall, Komodo is another great restaurant addition to the Fontainebleau Las Vegas dining scene, and I'll definitely be back. read more

This is by far the best restaurant I've been to in Vegas. I don't have any photos bc it's gone as soon as it hits the table, but the Surf & Turf Roll is something I'll always come back for -- I could honestly order 5-10 of them every time. I've never had sushi this good until coming here. Top tier I definitely recommend asking for Angie. She's so welcoming, explains the menu perfectly for first-timers, and always makes the experience amazing every time we come back. They play great music and even have a live DJ, which makes the whole atmosphere so much better while eating. The Matcha Martini was amazing too -- you can tell they use high-quality matcha. The truffle pasta was sooo good I kept going back for seconds and thirds. We also tried the Wagyu Tacos and they literally melt in your mouth. The Lobster Dynamites are a must-get here!!! For dessert, the Banana Pogana was such a hit -- the wafer was delicious and the dessert itself was perfect. We also get the Komodo Dragon every time because it's so refreshing. Hands down, 10/10 experience every single time. read more

Everything here was top notch. I started off with a mocktail to test the skills of the bar and they did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly. The ambience was amazing. Everything was beautifully festive with red flowers and red walls everywhere. My favorite definitely was a halibut and the crispy Thai beef. i can't deny this is definitely a well ran restaurant, from the service to the food, the vibes it's all there! I had an amazing birthday dinner experience at this restaurant. I often go to fine dining spots but i can't say the same about all restaurants this one definitely stood out on the service efficiency. I was shocked to see they had a matcha martini, and WOW you know i had to try that out! It definitely hit the spot the perfect mix of matcha and liquor. This place is so hyped up. And it's worth the hype. We had many items here (see photo with caption). I loved their sake sommelier- she helped us pick the right bottle. The service was slow and inattentive by our actual server. And we had a reservation at 8:45 and they had a long line of people waiting outside for those WITH reservations. For those reasons, minus one star- maybe two. But the food was good and very expensive. For two people it was easily $400. The items we loved most were the WAGYU BEEF dim sum and the surf and turf roll. The place had loud music, but I suppose it's expected for the location. It's not a quiet night out. The people-watching was awesome (note: apparently you can't come here in ripped jeans but if you come in your underwear only, it's totally fine). read more

Late post from our visit on July 10, 2025. My friends were staying at the Fountainebleu and we decided to go to a late dinner. Komodo was able to accommodate us at the last minute and we are so glad that they did. Our server was great and I'm sorry to say that I forgot her name :-( We ordered the following: * Japanese Milk Bread - Good * Korean Fried Chicken - Really Good * Komodo Chicken Salad - Super Good * Crispy Eggplant - Excellent * Sushi (I'm allergic so I did not partake and can't comment) We also ordered a few cocktails and enjoyed each of them. I got the Midnight Eclipse and loved it. Would totally order it again. Very elegant, great decor and a laid back atmosphere. It would be great date night spot or just snag a spot at the bar and soak in the good vibes with a cocktail and a bite to eat. Highly recommend this spot and I will definitely be back. read more

Hey yall! I GOT INVITED TO KOMODO, last night by a guy I met in resort world gym last Tuesday. I guess this is his favorite place to eat. He ordered some sushi, it was tasty, so I ordered another plate of sushi. I also ordered a few drinks. He ordered surf and turf bowl. It was great. We had a blast! It was a pretty and nice date night place. The waitress was very attentive to us all night too! Love this casino. Just go! Pricey, yes. Worth it, also yes. We celebrated our anniversary here. We ordered so much and everything was delicious! The matcha martini was very good & I'm not big on matcha. My experience was amazing! I just want to say I really appreciate the staff reading my reservation requests before our visit. I was taking my partner here as a suprise for his first Father's Day celebration because this is his favorite restaurant and they made sure the experience was known and celebrated. I've had other places not read my requests and I had to find a way to tell them in person while keeping it a surprise so I really appreciate that! The food was great and the service was beyond my expectations. The food is definitely worth the price you get what you pay for 100%! I also loved that each staff member continues to check on you without being pushy or aggressive. I highly recommend for a special time you won't be disappointed. read more

The halibut was cooked perfectly. The korean chicken appetizer was not very spicy and easy to eat, with lots of flavor. The surf and turf sushi roll was out of this world. We are going back tonight to get another. Their Brussel sprouts are the golden standard of how Brussel sprouts should be cooked. They were not over done and had lots of flavor. Their cocktails were out of this world. It was hard to pick one! Service was impeccable. There were servers at our tables checking on us and providing the most optimal dining experience. They were very knowledgeable with great recommendations and they knew the menu. Ambiance was also out of this world. It was dark and very on point for the type of experience that they provide. I LOVED Komodo! I went last month so I'm a little late on the review. It was pretty busy, but we were able to snag a bar seat no problem. The bartender was polite and helped us through anything. I love the low-lit ambiance. As a vegetarian, I felt like I had some great options. The food I had was AMAZING! I ordered the lavender haze with the plant based chicken dan dan. I absolutely loved the ambiance of this place. I went for a birthday celebration and was pleasantly surprised by the vibe. They play good music, and I liked how the restaurant is kept pretty dark. Overall, great atmosphere. The service was great, and overall, it's a solid spot if you're looking for that "luxury restaurant" experience. Rainbow Sushi ($30) - 4/5 A classic roll with tuna, salmon, avocado, and crab. Tastes great and is reasonably priced for a place like this. Peking Duck ($150) - 5/5 Tender and full of flavor! The seasoning is simple, making it easy to enjoy and perfect for sharing with a large group. Tomahawk, Kagoshima ($600) - 4/5 The price!!! Still, it was soft, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. It comes on a hot pan, so if you don't like it too rare, you can let it cook a bit longer at the table. Good for sharing with a big group. read more

The only reason this place even gets 2 stars is because the bar tender was nice. The rest sucked completely. From the staff at the door, super snobby and rude, to the chairs at the bar making your back hurt so even if you want to stay for a drink or two, you can't die to pain, I'm not exaggerating! FOOD. So this place is WAY too overrated! The food was terrible. And when I say terrible, it's seriously terrible. We ordered the spicy tuna roll, which has NO Tuna in or on it. The pictures online are deceiving, you get a pure of some spice on the roll that they call tuna? I guess. The surf and turf fried rice was too greasy, the meat smelled and the few pieces of lobster were dry and smelled fishy. The Korean chicken was ok but way too small of a portion. read more

I was really looking forward to trying Komodo to celebrate my birthday (and staycation at Fontainebleau this weekend) but had an awfully odd and quite rude exchange with the security when just stopping by to scope out the restaurant a few hours before our reservation. Definitely did not appreciate that, so we cancelled our booked time and will be headed off property to celebrate elsewhere. FWIW, It looks pretty though :-) read more

This restaurant is well decorated. The flowers everywhere to the fabric of the seating all of it ties together. The tunes were playing which I was a fan of. Our server Marie was absolutely fabulous. She took the time to go through items on the menu and answered all our questions and gave us a foodie insider tip. All the food was amazing. I don't have one negative thing to say. We started with the lobster on crispy rice then moved to the honey truffle salmon (must order), surf and turf roll and blue fin spicy tina roll. We ate EVERYTHING. We end our meal with the matcha crème brûlée now that was a dessert I will keep thinking about it was so good. We also had matcha martinis that I highly recommend. Came here with a larger group, nine people. We did have a reservation and we were sat right away. We were disappointed in our seating arrangement. We had was we were sat at two tables pushed together that were two different heights, which caused some difficulty when sharing food as we ordered family style. The food overall was amazing. The spicy edamame sauce needs to be bottled and sold in supermarkets. The sushi rolls were fresh and a nice variety. A fan fave of the group was the surf and turf roll that was wrapped in wagyu beef. The chicken salad was also a nice starter. For the mains we got skirt steak which was cooked to perfection. Crab lo mein that had fresh flavor. But the star of the show was the Peking duck!! It was the best duck I have ever tasted -- juicy, flavorful. It came with the traditional pancake wraps, cucumber, and sauce. Now the Peking duck comes with a hefty price 150, we asked for more pancake wraps which we were charged an additional 5 dollars for, not very hospitable for that price tag. Our waiter was amazing, very attentive and kind. Coming to check us throughout our meal. Overall food was great but for an upscale restaurant a few things were overlooked such as table seating. read more
