I've been coming to Wazuzu every time I'm in Vegas and it's one of the spots I always end up going back to. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and way better than it needs to be for a hotel restaurant. Some of the dishes I keep coming back to are the crispy orange beef, Mongolian beef, sushi rolls, and the noodles. Everything always comes out with really good flavor and never tastes rushed or bland. You can tell they care about the quality, because even the simpler dishes still taste really clean and fresh. Went to Wazuzu at the Wynn and had a really solid experience. The restaurant is beautiful and has that upscale feel. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken and the spinach roll and both were really good. Food came out fresh and flavorful, and there are definitely more things on the menu I want to try next time. Only downside was there was a dog barking in the restaurant, which kind of took away from the vibe. I love dogs, but in a setting like that it was a little distracting. The manager handled it quickly and moved us to another table without any issue. Staff was attentive and made sure everything else went smoothly. Dined with the wife on a Saturday night; they (somewhat famously) don't take reservations so we checked in at the hostess stand at about 6:30 and were told the wait was 30-45 minutes. Pretty standard on the weekend. They text you when your table is ready so you don't have to hang around the restaurant. The most important thing to keep in mind about Wazuzu is that it's listed on the Wynn website under their "Casual Dining" designation. If you're looking for authentic Asian cuisine there I recommend Wing Lei or Mizumi (both are outstanding). Some of the lower reviews on Yelp seem to be missing that aspect. Once we received the text for our table we were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us at a table right under the beautiful crystal dragon art piece. The tables are well-spaced for a relatively small restaurant and it's definitely a boisterous and bright environment. Our server Marvin was very attentive - water glasses were refilled constantly and place settings were replaced after each course. We started with the chicken spring rolls and the crispy Brussels sprouts. We really loved the sprouts - they were crispy as advertised and well seasoned. The spring rolls were good - they're served in a lettuce cup which makes for a refreshing contrast between the fried wrapper and the fresh veggies. I also ordered the uni sushi (I'm an uni fanatic) and it was super fresh and tasty. For entrees we shared the drunken noodles, the bibimbap and the sea bass. My wife always loves the drunken noodles here and these were very flavorful. Again this is an Asian- fusion restaurant (Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese etc. are all represented on the menu) so we know going in not to compare the noodles to Lotus of Siam's version. We also really enjoyed the bibimbap - the crispy rice layer on the bottom adds great texture to the spicy flavors. The sea bass was good except about 75% of it was slightly overcooked. This is such a delicate fish that it's easy to go from perfect texture to dry in a matter of seconds and unfortunately that happened here. Really my only complaint about the meal. Dinner for two came to $232 before tax and tip which included a carafe of sake and a to-go order of Pad Thai for our kid at home. For the quality of service and ingredients we were more than satisfied when we left and even had some yummy leftovers to bring home. read more

This was an.... experience. My husband and I decided to dine here during our last visit to Vegas (to see the Backstreet Boys yay!!). We did not make a reservation, but they had a table for 2 after a brief wait. That was no issue as we walked around and took pictures of the hotel. Upon our arrival for seating, it gave off a "fancy" vibe - at least fancier than the Asian Fusion/Sushi restaurants I have dined at in Milwaukee or Chicago. However, upon entry into the dinning area, I noticed the tables were very close together and it was quite loud. That was fine - we were not looking for an intimate dining experience. After we placed our drink order, a very large group arrived. Very large. An entire children's soccer (football for the rest of the world) team and their parents large. The children were seated at one table with one, maybe two, adults. The parents/other adults were seated at the table adjacent to ours. Everything went from loud, but under control, to complete chaos. The children (ages 6-10ish) were screaming and running around the restaurant. One child climbed up the back on the other side of my table and was licking the gold vase. Yes, licking. Like a dog. There was the vibe of expectation that the staff were to babysit this table of extremely misbehaved, privileged children. The parents could not be bothered as they sipped their martinis and ate their sushi. Everyone near me (tables of strangers, including myself) began expressing feelings of disgust and anger over the entire situation. The waitstaff was no longer able to accommodate the dinners and we tried to leave after we finished our meal; however, it took 30 minutes to get our check. It felt like pure torture. The ONLY saving grace was how delicious the food was, and that the staff personally apologized to every table. I wish they would have just said there was no availability that evening knowing they were having this huge group instead of letting us dine. People.... Pretty good last minute option in the Wynn. Wazuzu is walk-ins only, doesn't have a dress code, and was able to take 6 of us on a Sunday relatively quickly. Given we wanted to eat in the next 30 minutes (and my cousin didn't like the idea of Mexican food) this was our best option and it was good. At 5:55pm they estimated a 30-40 minute wait. I got a text at 6:15, missed it and the 10-minute window they gave us to claim the table, got there right after a text came through saying our table was released, and luckily they were still able to seat us. Our server was very attentive and nice, seemed be around just often enough. He's very efficient and professional. Spoke both English and Mandarin, helpful for my family members in town who don't know much English. At the end I asked for an extra gold paper straw for my daughter and he went into the kitchen just to get one for us. We were also able to get plastic to-go cups with lids for the unfinished watermelon juice. DRINKS * Watermelon juice - 4 stars. Tasty, and I didn't think extra sugar was added, seemed all natural. * Spirit animal cocktail - 4 stars, my partner enjoyed. * Kimarite Margarita - 4 stars, nice kick of spice, and quite strong while not being overpowering. FOOD * Roti Canai - 4.5 stars. Super tasty and flaky roti. Kids loved it we got an extra order of just the bread. * Chicken fried rice - 3 stars. Kids enjoyed, and that's why we ordered it. On a recent visit to Vegas we stayed at Encore and needed a good lunch option on our last day before a late check-out and heading to the airport. We had already had our fill of steak and Italian on the trip, so Cantonese sounded perfect, and Wazuzu delivered. One big plus: Wazuzu is walk-up only, so you do not need reservations. We arrived a few minutes before the 11:30 a.m. opening and got the first table. Within 30 minutes the place was completely full, which tells you a lot. Our waiter was awesome, super friendly, and happy to walk us through the menu. We followed his recommendations and ordered the pork and shrimp pot stickers and the drunken noodles with shrimp. Both were outstanding and easily our favorites of the meal. We also tried the sea bass, which was a very close second and definitely worth ordering. The setting is great, right off the Encore casino, and all of the food tasted fresh and was very well prepared. Pair it was a side or two of jasmine rice and boom a meal for two or three is set. We also had the Drunken Noodles and they were anything but that. Dry and burnt tasting. We still ate it because we were hungry but not good at all. Also, the noodles are not traditional Ke Mao Noodles. These were something else. A hard pass for next time.. The rock shrimp and black cod are standouts, though the menu leans more Western-style than traditional Asian and is over priced. Overall, great flavors in a gorgeous setting. Staff are friendly and great service. I found the lady hostess at check in to be rude and not welcoming and was an absolute turn off for our experience. Even the manager, John comes by and checks on everything... he doesn't just talk about the food, he actually engages you as a human being. You're not just another number. They definitely go out of their way to make every experience memorable, even if you're just coming for a quick lunch. No reservations in this place! It gets busy early and for good reason. Ate here with my coworkers while we were in Vegas for Shot Show 2026. Overall the service was the shining star of the evening. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable regarding the menu making several great recommendations. We tried a number of sushi and sashimi dishes and all we were well composed and flavorful. In reality though, most of the dishes were a bit one note with heat being the predominant flavor profile for the majority of what we tried causing the proteins to get lost in the mix. In typical Vegas fashion these days, it's also a bit on the pricey side with most 8 pc rolls coming in well above $25-$30 each. The great news is that we did not leave feeling stuffed! Every time I visit Las Vegas, it's both my first and last stop--non-negotiable. I have to start by recognizing one of their standout employees, Andrew. He truly elevates the entire experience. His warm smile and vibrant personality light up the restaurant, and he has a way of making you feel instantly comfortable and at home. His level of service is unmatched. The ambiance is fantastic, the food is even better, and the cocktails deserve their own spotlight. My go-to is the lychee martini, and they nail it every single time. It's so good I almost always end up ordering a second--sometimes even a third. This is hands down the BEST Asian restaurant I've ever experienced--and I've tried a lot. Not a single dish disappoints, and the consistency is impressive. You can truly taste the care and effort in every bite. Bravo to the kitchen. The roasted duck pineapple fried rice and gai lan were okay - cooked well but didn't have a lot of flavor to them either. The best dish was the chilean sea bass, steamed with ginger scallion. Beef & Broccoli Tender meat and firm broccoli finished in a dark, savory and garlicky sauce. Tasty, traditional recipe. Salt and Pepper Prawns Ingredient simplicity makes this dish shine. Fairly crisp batter and perfectly seasoned. Cantonese Chicken Lo Mein Big portion good enough for four to share. Flavoring was mainstream and chicken chunks were moist. Pricey for a noodle dish. SERVICE: Host service was efficient. Texting system worked well and they even phoned when the table was ready. Waitstaff were professional. Food delivery took a while. This restaurant doesn't do reservations, they have a text message system of telling you when your table is ready. It is also the closest restaurant to the poker rooms, so it can get busy. Went for a late dinner, so there was no wait. Service was good. As with pretty much any casino restaurant, the prices are much higher for items you can get in Chinatown or any other good local restaurant. The trade off is the convenience and maybe the quality and presentation. We split a bowl of tonkstsu ramen. Then some nigiri and hand roll sushi. The nigiri was tasty bigger portions of fish than at typical AYCE places. The premium hand rolls were excellent. We even decided to have chocolate bar for dessert. Service is very good here from the hostess to the waiters and busboys. They are very attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes. The decor had a nice modern Asian fusion vibe. Food was very good. We had the Cantonese Sea Bass, Thai Basil Beef Stir Fry and the Choy sum vegetables. The sea bass was steamed and had a very nice buttery flavor. We ordered the Thai Basil Beef Str Fry to be medium spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. Flavor was good but it had no spice. I come to eat here EVERY SINGLE TIME I stay in the Wynn or Encore. I consider it my treat. Honestly as in this casino in general you may see a star or too just have to look around. That being said -- it is a chinese restaurant and I adore it. Likely because I adore the service here... Winnie is my absolutely favorite servers but a lot are good. A LOT of the dishes have fish sauce. Just be aware. Even the soy sauce is house made with fish sauce. The soup dumplings were amazing. Bite into them with the flavor that spills and almost pops out... so good! The Crispy Orange Beef is awesome. I keep trying other things and end up always coming back to this crisp but tender amazingly seasoned beef in an orange sauce. I just cannot get enough of it. I don't get it with rice but I could see how others would like it. Drunken Noodles are okay. Definitely had to add extra spice. Pretty average so I will keep to my Thai places back home for this one. The raspberry lychee sorbet is out of this world. Winny is a great server like super fantastic. Lorena is a great server super fantastic as well... very helpful. Definitely give this place a shot.
