We ordered cupcakes for the first time. We did it to have that theme stuff for the kiddos. We got a notification our order was ready. We headed over to Walmart and followed the instructions to go to the bakery. We got there and stood there for a while until we could wave the ladies at the deli. She was sweet, but not sure whybit looks so long to get help or even find any support. Overall the Walmart is pretty clean Inside. There are pallets everywhere. The cashier was nice and so are the other workers, but overall odd experience ordering something. Also its hard to find things sometimes. I feel like im wandering the aisles. Either way we go here from time to time and this was the first experience ordering cupcakes for kiddos. read more

I visited the vision center and was helped by optometrist Moni. She was incredable and very caring. She went out of her way to call other Walmart vision centers to see if they would accept my vision insurance. She actually saved me money by directing me to another center. I have always purchased my vision glasses at this particular store for many years and have never had any problems with the quality of the product or the customer service. This year, my positive thoughts led me back... Again, after waiting a while, Informed the machine is still broken. You could tell because it still had the colored green license from the prior year. My family and I Moved to South Reno, September of 2019. The Wal-Mart Grocery on Damonte Ranch Parkway has been our go to store for grocery pickup. There has only been one time where our grocery order was not accurate, it was a Saturday afternoon pickup during Covid June 2020, the place was packed. Staff re-picked our grocery order and we collected it hours later...not the end of the world. After reading numerous negative reviews for this Wal-Mart grocery I figured it's time for me to stand up and put some of these unreasonable Yelpers in their place. This is a Walmart, not a Ritz-Carlton! Prices are low here and help may not be standing around the corner to hold your hand in the frozen food section. I think some Yelpers have unrealistic expectations and the poorly written reviews show this. Please Yelpers don't write dumb reviews that aren't accurate. I don't think the creator of Yelp intended this Yelp creation to be a bitchfest of negativity. Staff here works hard. Grocery pickup is 99% accurate from all of my experience. Yes, it true not all things are always in stock. Prices are great however. What I truly want people to understand is if you are so unhappy, you have the right to go buy a weapon and hunt for your food, grow vegetables, and or live off this high desert landscape you chose to live in. Missing an item from my pickup order. Called this store (3277) 10 times. No one answers the phone. Called multiple departments- got answered in electronics with a burp and a 25 minute hold. I drove to the store, they couldn't fine my item, nor was anyone willing to talk to me. Horrible service. Horrible. Left outside by myself at an empty pickup area. Zero communication and was finally hung up on. Horrible. I am searching for another avenue to complain. Attempted online return of missing item. Missing item is not even an option for a refund. Only refund available was to pick something else- system would allow a $12.29 refund on an item that cost me $20.96. Finally reached Steven, who was unprofessional and behaved like my issue was unimportant, dismissive and had a ridiculous tone and giggle like this was trivial. Headed over to this Walmart since my local store was out of frozen Hatch chili and Body Armour Lyte Mango/Peach. I did check online before heading over to make sure items were in stock but when I arrived, I could only find 2 drinks on the shelf. I was hoping to find 8. I looked around for an employee nearby even though in the past I haven't been successful finding anyone to help me. (The employees actually avoid eye contact and walk away as to not be bothered) I saw this young man in a Walmart vest that looked busy filling an online order. I walked over to him and showed him the drink and asked to please check if he had any more available in his system. Honesty, I was not expecting him to stop what he was doing but he did exactly that! He scanned the item real quick and told me he was going to check stock in the back. This young man came back with 10 more drinks from the back. I was just in awe and was thankful to have such a kind and helpful young man taking care of business. I had to take the time to a knowledge him by writing this review. Erick rocks! Walmart advertise that returns can be made from home but the app does not work nor does anyone ever answer the phone at the Diamonte location. Then I order a dress or and got set a storage cube and apparently they can't read because the box says storage cube. After unpacking it is when I discovered they sent the wrong merchandise. Now they are holding my money hostage for a mistake that they made, all because they have a bunch of illiterate lazy ass people that don't care about customer service. I had it delivered because I am 65 and couldn't carry 70 lbs up a flight of 19 stairs. The package that was sent is 45 lbs. And they still insist that they sent the right package. Then some dummy said that she was scheduling the pickup for Sunday taking away my only free day to go to church and the confirmation is for a Monday. I work Monday thru Friday and as large as Walmart and FedEx is, no one will do anything to remedy their mistake. I'm calling my bank and maybe they will be able to get my money back. read more

This Walmart is okay, with a few set backs that get annoying. -This Walmart needs to be in stock more, lots of items have been not been restocked. It's been getting better but definitely still needs to be improved. -They also have coupons on items for a couple dollars off, that when you scan at the self-checkout the workers have to come over and check the expiration, but they are confused on how to give us the money off. -We also sometimes use delivery or curb-side pick-up where the workers shop for us and some of the substations make no sense. We ordered flour they were out and they gave us sugar as a substitute. Sometimes we also don't know if they are giving us the best produce they have to offer. No parking in Walmart parking lot!!! So I got up early this morning to get to Walmart and beat the crowds, however they don't open till 7 AM. Which was very disappointing. How many times do you go to Walmart and you can't find a parking spot up close. well I was here at 6:15, the entire parking lot on one side was full . WHY???? because the employees park there for the day. You would think that a Big chain like Walmart would request for their employees to park further out in the parking lot to leave the spaces closer to the store for customers. I have shopped at this Walmart since it opened, the last year it is very hard to shop there. Any time-of the day there's huge boxes piled in the isles, it's hard to navigate through the store. Every time I shop there is at least 1 item on my list out of stock, empty shelves all through the store. I can never count on the price on the shelves, when I. The Damonte Ranch location in South Reno is getting worse every day. They do not have parking lot security patrols. My wife just got back from here today and said some crazy dude was walking around the parking lot and yelling obscenities at her and she didn't feel safe. I am absolutely done with Walmart. They are full of incompetent employees, they force you to use the self checkouts, the quality of their merchandise is low, and they have little to no concern about the safety of their customers. Today, I went in to buy groceries and a bottle of wine for the week. I've been going to this Walmart for 20 years now. I'm 27 years old. I went to pay and show my ID. The cashier started saying my ID wasn't me (only difference in my photo was my hair color) and walked with me to customer service for the manager to check my ID. Turns out, there wasn't any manager on duty. Anyways, they wouldn't let me buy my groceries. And treated me like I was incompetent. The service has gone down hill. Don't shop here!!! And by the way my mom ordered a cake from this Walmart bakery two weeks ago. She asked for simple writing on the cake. There wasn't any when she picked it up and no one would do it so she found the icing and did it herself. Don't waste your time. read more

Wow what can I say...my husband and I were checking out at the self checkout because that's all they have open at 9:30pm. We were doing two separate transactions and I notice two Walmart workers were standing right behind me watching what I was doing. I finished up and payed my stuff, when I pulled out the receipt one of the workers put her hand right in front of me asking to see the receipt. I told her no because the printer that I DID NOT SCAN AND PAYED was going to be scanned and payed by my husband. Thus she walked away, once he was done paying the printer which was $55. I have been upset with this store for quite awhile now. I have tried different times of the day and find only one cashier and sometimes two working. They are forcing everyone to do self-check and I don't want to use that option when I have a cart full of food. I will however, use the self-check with one or two items. So I feel this store is telling me to buy only a couple of item when I go in. Don't buy too much or you will wait in a long line and they never call another cashier. I do feel sorry for the one cashier but I notice that no matter how long the line is, they never speed up. When I used to be a cashier in a smaller store, a line was upsetting and it told me I was not working fast enough. But nowadays that is just not the case. Everyone is being forced to use the self-check and the main issue there is produce never rings up right so it still takes time and I always need help. If this Walmart does not want to pay for cashiers, then lower your prices. I am not getting paid to ring up my own groceries when your prices are comparable to Smith's and Winco. I am giving them two stars only for the Grocery Pickup option that seems to work real smooth. read more

Locked ink. Spoke with 2 associates and politely asked to please unlock ink cabinet. Was responded with "I can't hear you", "get in line and wait." I was treated as if I was inconveniencing the associate. When I asked the associate if she could please page overhead, she said I will be there in a minute. After waiting for 5 min. With no help, I decided to write this review. If you are going to lock up everything in your store, you should have enough associates available with keys to help your customers. I love this Wal-Mart. Although I don't support everything Wal-Mart does, I do enjoy the absolute convenience of this one. They've got tons of self check out stations so you can be in and out in ten minutes or less. My only complaint is a lot of their home goods stuff seems out of place and difficult to locate. It was canceled by the store because they made a mistake and it wasn't available. We ordered that same bed in another color. And it was canceled again by the store because they said it was no longer available. We ordered a different bed by a different manufacturer and it was supposed to arrive today... Now they say it will be delivered Tuesday. This notification came at 7:30 PM. The guaranteed delivery was at 8 PM. I bought a coffee pot on 12-12-21 at Walmart for Christmas. We left town on January 3rd and got back yesterday, 3-11-22. Today the coffee pot would ground up the coffee but the water would not flow through. I took it back and they refused to honor the receipt, said it was past 90 days. Why does Wal-Mart allow pets riding in the baskets that we put our food in? When Wal-Mart doesn't distinguish between a service animal and a pet the customer has to suffer by putting their food in dirty, germy baskets. I saw a lady the other day with her dog and her bird in a bird cage riding in the basket. A service animal doesn't ride in a basket, doesn't bark, squawk, nor have a smelly accident. HORRIBLE pickup grocery experience. I use this service from many retailers. Used it from Damonte Ranch today, after placing my order online TWO days ago. They called and asked me if I could come later, I come later. Phone system broken. I spend 15 minutes calling trying to get someone to come out to deliver. It just rings. I call customer service, it just rings. Finally, the put me on hold. Meanwhile, a woman delivers someone's groceries and sees me flailing. I'm disabled and had my daughter, so this was really supposed to help me save time. She tells me my orders still being picked (it's time for it to be ready now) and that it will be another 20 or 30 minutes and oh well, she's the only one in there. They lock up all the formula, you have to wait 20 mins to even get a manager to unlock the case, they took the bell down to when reach the manager so you can't even let anyone know your waiting for formula!! HORRIBLE experience at Walmart loss prevention accused me of stealing and not ringing up my purchases and putting them in bags. The loss prevention gal asked the cashier who said she's been coming here since we opened. She not stealing. Loss prevention salesperson did not believe the sales person clerk and came up to my register to review my receipts .She continued to tell me and my three minor children that I was putting things in bags and not ringing them up and putting them in my cart. LP Refused to listen to me, was loud and told me I was taking things that didn't belong to me and mad a huge scene and went through my whole cart. EVERTING WAS SCANNED. she kept calling me honey until I asked her to stop and she called me mrs. customer. I am actually 60 years old and don't deserve to be called honey in a condescending manner. Have some respect for your elders.She then turned around to my three children and said I want to explain that your mom is not stealing, but she's tech not scaring things and putting him in the basket. I told her to do not engage with my kids and she did so three different times. I asked for the store manager and he told me he was not gonna apologize for her doing her job. Refused to give me the district managers phone number and then he said he was going to severely counsel the sales people who said that they've known me forever and I've never stolen anything. He eventually kicked me out of the store. I called the corporate headquarters and filed a complaint and they sent me to the ethics office due to the gravity of the situation. I am a professional in this area and I know so many people and I am so embarrassed that she was so loud when she was saying I was stealing things and not paying for them. Even after she figured out that I paid for them she just walked away and never apologized. I will never go there again. I do have to say that I lost my temper and I got very firm with her when I was talking to her and the manager. But they didn't understand what an embarrassment and a scene they caused. read more
