I was pleased to find that Waldo Cooney's Pizza was listed on Uber Eats after it was recommended to me by Elizabeth C, a yelper out of Berwyn Illinois, who shared a big slice of their pizza, and review! Along with that endorsement, its 4.6-star rating out of 700+ via Uber Eats was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. Looking through the menu, I took an interest in items like the Cheese Thin Crust Pizza (10" Small), Cheese Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza (10" Small), Vegetarian Pizza, Cheese Calzone, ravioli, Spaghetti, Gourmet Cheesecake, Chee-Zee Garlic Bread, and French Fries. Out of all that caught my eye, I ended up ordering their Cheese Thin Crust Pizza (10" Small) with pineapple as my topping after contemplating on spinach. Whether it be Grubhub or Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Most of the time my orders are completed upon my arrival or near complete. By the time I arrived at Waldo Cooney's, the employee was finishing up with my order during this ordering experience. Picking up was just confirming my name, ordering platform, and I was well on my way back to my residence. I am grateful to have had a smooth online ordering experience because the likelihood of me ordering online again is very high. For your information, Waldo Cooney's sits along a busy Cermak Rd, which you will have to keep an eye out for as you are driving up to the storefront. It can easily be missed if you are focused on the fast flow of the traffic on Cermak Rd. And keep in mind you will have to pick the right timing when pulling out your vehicle while leaving because those incoming vehicles on Cermak Rd are something else. As for my order, my mouth salivated prior to my first bite of the Cheese Thin Crust Pizza I ordered. It was presented perfectly, with pineapples infused in with the cheese, and cut into small squares. Very satisfying taste! If you have never had the addition of pineapples on your pizza, then you have no clue what you are missing. Out of my favorite pizza restaurants within a radius, I can see myself ordering from Waldo Cooney's again while in the area because it sure was satisfying. In closing, I had a great ordering experience as I have indicated in this review of Waldo Cooney's Pizza. Wow! Definitely worth stopping in this place. They have tables for you to sit and eat, but not for big parties. We ordered medium thin crust cheese pizza. We were supposed to leave after eating a few slices, but it was so good we ended up eating it all. John (the owner), and Bobby were also very nice! The pizza here is amazing! The place is very small and tight but it's my new home pizzeria. Their customer service is top notch for a pizza joint. There was a mix up with the order payments and they fixed it there on the spot as expected. The 2 gentlemen that helped me were great characters and made the experience wholesome. The ambiance is a few tables with a TV and not much else but, this is not a restaurant so, the place isn't meant to sit and eat and talk for any length of time. The service is always cheery and fast. When you're told a time your order will be ready, you can count on it being ready. The food? I've only ever ordered their supreme pizza which has sausage, onions, mushrooms and green peppers on a thin crust. I'm fussy when it comes to lots of pizza sauce and lighter on the cheese. I like my veggies al dente (slightly raw) john the owner and his able and friendly staff never disappoint. In the future, I'll be trying other menu offerings. Waldo Cooney's Pizza is walking distance from my apartment. I decided to try them out because they have pretty good reviews and I had a taste for pizza. I ordered a small jalapeño and sausage thin crust pizza with a chocolate chip cheese cake. The chocolate chip cheese cake was very small but delicious. The pizza was good. I had the right amount of peppers and sausage. I love thin crust! The only issue I had was the lack of pizza sauce. I hardly had any on my pizza. The sauce on the pizza pushed up to the top and it left nothing between the cheese and crust (picture included). Other than the pizza sauce issue; I really enjoyed my meal. This will not stop me from trying it again. I will go back and ask for extra pizza sauce. I plan to update my review in the future. FYI, The small pizza will literally feed 1 person. If you have two people, Just grab a medium size pizza. I am also adding the updated menu. The menu I ordered from on yelp prices doesn't match their current menu. Berwyn is notorious for having the pizza style that I can least tolerate. It doesn't make it BAD pizza - there's no such thing. Waldo Cooneys is my go to for a pizza in Berwyn. I grew up on Chicago thin crust pizza and finding this place was a score. Calzones and wings are yummy as well. Can't forget the fries. My food always arrives hot. I moved out of Berwyn, but can still get delivery through UberEats. If you're on a budget and in need of a pizza fix the slices are budget friendly and a good size.
