Prescription sent in electronically at 8pm. After standing on line for 30 minutes. Today at 1:30 pm I am told that they are working on it.

I have been using this store for almost ten years and finally said enough is enough when they got the new general manager for the pharmacy department. She started there not too long ago and is absolutely deplorable in that she treats you as if she is doing you a favor by filling scripts. Most of the time I have to wait for them to be filled and some have been lost in which my physician had to electronically send it again. If it's not ready the general pharmacist manager will dictate that you sit down and she will call you when it's ready. I will not use this entity ever again and as you can see the reviews are pretty bad from other people. There is not a time that I am in there and the person in front of me or behind me is speaking to me.......What is taking so long or why is this happening. In any event, the new pharmacy that I am using is phenomenal and they not only have the medication ready but keep me informed with speaking with the prescribing physician. If you have not used this pharmacy yet do not start. Of course, if you are using them then you already know the issues that I am having since you probably have in one way or another dealt with similar issues. Have a great day. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! Arrive several hours after a prescription has been sent to them. Walgreens tells me they don't have any of record of a prescription for me. it. I get less than 5 minutes down the street, and my phone starts dinging with messages from Walgreens that they do have the prescription. I turn around and go back to Walgreens. They then tell me they don't the medication in stock! So, I ask to transfer it to CVS. Arrive at CVS, and the pharmacist here cannot get Walgreens to answer the phone to transfer the prescription. Mind you, there was no one in line at the pharmacy 5 minutes ago. I now know why. I won't go there again! Do not waste your time with Walgreens. Go to CVS first. I understand why this Walgreens has a 2 star rating. read more

Horrible, don't use the pharmacy here. Numerous times I have waited more then a hour on hold to hear them pick up the phone and end the call immediately, never helpful with my medication and is always a chore. read more

TL;DR: I paid the out-of-pocket cost for a 30-day prescription while Walgreens simultaneously billed my insurance for a 90-day script of the same medication; a 90-day refill that they never filled and I never received. This story is going to be long, but you've been warned. I mostly use independently-owned pharmacies where the prescriptions are much cheaper, but sometimes I need a national chain. CVS is mostly trash in this area; I only use them in an emergency. I had recently switched to Rite Aid and had a good experience, so thought nothing of it when this location changed over to Walgreens, my preferred national pharmacy. I called to refill a time-sensitive prescription; they tell me I'm out of refills and that they will fax my doctor. They never do. Now, my doctor's office staff (VHC Physician Group) is also trash, so who truly knows. I call the office and they tell me I need to come in and have a consult. Fine. Go in, consult with a nurse, she sends the prescription to this Walgreens. After almost an hour, I haven't heard from the pharmacy, so I call while I'm doing another errand. I'm on hold for so long that I reach the store by the time someone picks up. I'm told my prescription is not ready because they have to call insurance. My insurance hasn't changed. I tell them I'm here and I'll pay out-of-pocket because I don't feel like waiting. The man tells me 15 minutes. In 15 minutes I enter the store and go to the pharmacy counter, which has a long, slow line. It's immediately clear the staff are not the brightest crayons in the box. I normally use the drive-thru but I don't recognize any of them. The man I talked to is no longer there. One woman tells me that they are not finished filling my prescription but she'll try to run through insurance. I said fine. I wait another 15 minutes and this dumb broad can't figure it out, so I say let me take back my insurance card and pay out-of-pocket, which I do, and plan to switch this script somewhere else. So I switch it and the new pharmacy tells me they cannot fill it again until for over a month because there is a recent claim for it. It's only a 30-day prescription, so that's odd. They tell me to call Walgreens. I try calling this Walgreens for two days and the phones are not working for the back or front of store. I waited at least 20 minutes several times before calling another Walgreens and having no issue reaching the pharmacy. They tell me that there is no claim--they last time my home location filled this script, I paid out-of-pocket. I called my insurance (Kaiser; also trash) to see what's the deal. I'm told that Walgreens sent a claim to them for a 90-day refill, so that's why it can't be filled through insurance for over a month. So I paid the entire out-of-pocket cost for a 30-day script while Walgreens billed my insurance for a 90-day script of the same medication at the same time; a script that they never filled and which I never received. I'm a grew up in the backyard of Walgreens HQ, outside Chicago. I've been to a lot of their stores. This one is solid. It's newer/more modern and seems larger than other Walgreens stores in Arlington. Generally good stock here. Pickup orders are not as smooth though and often can be hard to track down. Staff here are friendly enough and the store is generally clean. It's a solid location. read more

I would like to give a special shout out to SUPRIYA for going to the extra mile with my photo order. I had put an order in at another location and they cancelled it without explanation. I took a risk and sent my order to this WALGREENS. I call the next morning for an update and SURIYA informed me that they were out of the materials, but the manager went to a sister store to get the items. I was so pleased with my product and appreciate this store for going the extra mile. read more

Incompetent pharmacy staff! I ALWAYS have an issue with them! They never follow up with my meds, if they have an issue with insurance, they never follow up with them nor update me. I always have to call several times to get things done. Never answer their phones! Absolutely none of the women staff are competent! There's one of the guys, and he pretty much is the only who does a good job! I don't know what the pharmacist nor the manager does there! At this point, I'm willing to drive farther to find a better pharmacy. They don't answer phones, lines are ridiculously long, they get to you whenever they fel like it, your health be damned. I live 0.5 mile from this horrible store! There has been three times now within about 3-4 months that I show up to pick up my Rx and they told me their system was down and to come back later. Well, I had knee surgery and ended up with complications, so it's difficult to go out very often. It's ridiculous!! Also, the people that work at the front checkout have nasty, rude attitudes! One day recently I asked the young man for the nicotine pouches. Wintergreen. He turned and grabbed one and it was spearmint so I said again, wintergreen. But he had such a horrible attitude and acted like I was asking too much of him to do his job! I said to him "I can't see them, I'm too far away, can you please look for wintergreen?" Finally he looked and found it! Omg!! You'd have to be there to really understand how ridiculous it was! He was RUDE....PERIOD!! The older man that is so slow that it makes my head feel like it's going to explode!! I believe it's not any disability, it's that he just doesn't care!! There is no reason why someone who is buying just a few items, should take 3-4 minutes to check out. Also, recently, the line was really long and this guy was taking forever to check out an elderly man. Then, with like 10 people in line, the manager came out of her office and never attempted to assist him! She just walked past all of us In line like she didn't have a care in the world!! Honestly this is the WORST pharmacy in our area. They are around the corner from me so I have tried multiple times. LONG wait times, lost Rxs, keep losing my insurance info, and confused, ever changing phamacists. Go elsewhere if you value your time read more

Staff are friendly here and they have a good variety of supplements in stock. One cool thing about this Walgreens is they have a compost drop off for Arlington County every Sunday morning. If you compost, they drop the green bins off by the Walgreens parking lot. The drive thru pharmacy is a great feature also. read more

Avoid at all costs. There is a issue every single time I come here. Examples include losing my online orders, my pickup order not being ready or prepared whatsoever despite receiving an email that it's ready, forgetting to give me my prescription in my pickup orders, losing my photo orders. Don't even bother with the drive thru because you will be waiting for a very extended period of time, it is the opposite of convenient and quick (which is supposed to be the entire point). For a chain pharmacy, they're decent. Helped me out when I had a prescription that my mail-order prescription coverage didn't want to cover--so I now get it at a reasonable price. Lots of different pharmacists but that's to be expected--honestly, there is no good pharmacy coverage under the current health care system, so dealing with people who are attempting to be helpful is the best you can expect. read more

This pharmacy is the worst! They do not answer their phone, even though they tell you to call back! They allow privileged people to block the drive through to wait for their prescription while everyone else is inconvenienced and has to wait. They also do not carry common prescriptions and try to force expensive alternatives on you! I regret that I cannot give less than 1 star. read more
