This Walgreens was open late and had everything we needed except firewood which we went to starter bros. Their liquor section was decent. Enough to get what you need. Pricess were decent. Their beer selection was basic. Stella, shock top, Budweiser, budlight, Tecate and coors. That's about it. The workers were nice and quick even though they were busy. Happy with my experience. Glad to come back in the future. read more

After waiting 45 minutes in line to pick up my refill it's time to change pharmacies. I never seem to get out of there in under 30 minutes. And these are refills that are ready for pickup. They seem to have staff. They just don't help anyone. I'll try cvs. Can't be worse. read more

Easy store to access when you are in big bear and need some items. It is full-service and have the same items that most Walgreens have. This is perfect when we need to stop for some practical items before going to big bear mountain skiing or should I say snowboarding actually. Funny enough the bathrooms have heaters. Not quite funny but it was a really hot day today so they didn't need to be running they're running, the bathroom was really hot. I'm sure when it's cold up here that would be perfect and "warmly" welcomed. Yes I made a joke lol! There's also a little accessory and electronics aisle need a charger. Furthermore, they also have a pay-as-you-go cell phone for when you're traveling or not wanting to bring your phone on the mountain! read more

Pharmacy is not good. I stayed in line for 10 minutes while there were 4 people behind the counter. I asked for Zyrtec and said I did not want time released and the guy said step to the next counter for a pharmacist consult. Really? The pharmacist saw me and ignored me. I asked what was not time released and the guy did not know and refused to actually look at the boxes and read them. Loser ! It's not rocket science. You need better customer service. read more

Everyone working here when we stopped in was cheerful and the pharmacist was specifically helpful. I got stung by something and we weren't sure if we needed an ointment or benadryl and she looked at the swelling and gave us the information we needed. read more

I am shocked at how rude the pharmacy staff is. I brought in a prescription from my oncologist from Orange County. They told me they do not fill out of town prescriptions. I am confused, there are no cancer doctors in Big Bear lake??? So I have to go once a month to OC. The pain is so bad from chemo, radiation and surgery, yet I have to drive to Redlands to fill my prescriptions. I thought a pharmacy was there to help. Surprisingly friendly staff, even the young teenagers. I was expecting to get frustrating answers from the younger staff, when we went in looking for a humidifier. All the shelves were empty, but the guy I spoke with immediately knew which one I was looking for and grabbed it for us. The cashier was also talkative too. Was very dissatisfied with pharmacy services this past Sunday. My daughter had been seen in the emergency room and a prescription had been written. We stopped by the store to get the prescription filled and found one of the clerks to lack customer service. Our pharmacy card was worn and some numbers obscured. When we asked if she could call to obtain the complete number she said the pharmacy was closing for lunch. I then called the number on the card and was told the pharmacy should call. After repeating why I was calling I finally was able to get complete membership number. Went back to store and spoke with store lead. We waited for staff to return from lunch and prescription was filled. I will not use Walgreens in Big Bear ever again. Very poor customer service in the pharmacy. read more

The cashier in the front I believe her name is Hailey. She has got to be the rudest person I have ever met! Its obvious that she does not want to work! She has zero personality and no customer service skills! Sh just sits there yawning and on her cell phone and smells like alcohol and marajuana. Terrible service through the pharmacy. Our insurance cards haven't had any changes in the last year and we even picked up a prescription for my daughter a week ago after she tore her MCL- even tho she had the insurance card in her hand and could even call to confirm, the gal at the pharmacy counter said she didn't know how to bill it and made no effort to do so. After CVS failed to to their job over FIVE WEEKS, I had the doctor switch the prescriptions to Walgreens. Ciera is very knowledgeable about the medications and especially how to process specialty insurance. We had the medications in hand within 24 hours!! read more

Worst Walgreens experience. Understaffed. Generally 10+ people in line at all times. Ordered photos for one hour, came four hours later, and they hadn't started printing. Multiple excuses to why it didn't work. Frustrating. read more

I only live here part-time but frequent this business a lot whenever I am up here. Great service and the employees are always so helpful and courteous. I have gotten a flu shot here also two years in a row because there is never too long a wait and it is so easy. Every time I buy cosmetics or toiletries, the sales clerk always offers coupons and additional savings, too! read more

Big Bear Lake Walgreens always have polite, knowledgeable and courteous staff. The shelves are well stocked and bathrooms are clean. Even if there is a line of 4 or more waiting for cashier, they are expedient and get you out the door very quickly and with a smile. We are a small mountain resort community so there are those seldom times on busy weekends when there can be crowds in the store, but 99% of the time you are in and out very quickly with the products you need. read more

I was informed by email that, for seniors, Walgreens in Big Bear would get over counter meds such as vitamin D3, fish oil, etc. when you fo through the drive thru. I called the pharmacy and confirmed this. The lady I spoke to said to make a list of what you needed and put it in the drawer at the drive-thru. I waited until I had a prescription to refill and did as she instructed. I was asked to come back in 30 minutes so she could pull the items from the shelf. I felt this was a reasonable request. I pulled into the parking lot and waited 45 min before going back through the drive thru. A different person was at the window and I explained my situation. He had no idea what I was talking about and simply said in an infriendly tone "I only have one prescription for you." I explained again that the previous girl may have pulled the needed OTC meds and left them on the counter near him. He just looked at me so I took the refill and left. This is not good customer service. If you are going to advertise a service then you should provide that service - with a smile. read more

The slowest most frustrating pharmacy I have ever been too wait wait wait wait. Even when if you are supposed to get meds your doctor wants you to start right away they tell you to come back in 2 to 3 hours And it's still not ready when you come back. I decided to get the Shingles Vaccination because I have had several friends get it recently and I really don't want it. My doctor in town doesn't carry the vaccine at it is a live culture and must be fresh and kept frozen. I normally go to CVS but they don't have a freezer so Walgreens was my only option. My doctor instructed me to bring the Rx back to him and he would administer it. Walgreens told me they couldn't do that. I asked if that was because it was a multi-dose vial, and they said yes. Then when I looked at my receipt it said "single dose vial" on it. I really had no choice but to let them administer it, and now my insurance won't cover it, because it wasn't administered by a physician. Walgreens charged $205.00 for the vaccination. I have read on line it should cost $40.00. I feel like they held me hostage, lied to me, and jacked up the price because they know they are the only game in town. They drove the other 2 small neighborhood pharmacies out of business by coming up here. Please avoid going there. Go to CVS. They have been here much longer and are very friendly and well merchandised. read more

My husband & I were using CVS . Pharmacy staff rude & we always had to wait in long lines. Switched to Walgreen's.. Very happy. Found pharmacy staff delightful & very friendly. The lines were at times long, but moved fast due to having two cashier's. read more

Very rude! I called the Walgreens Pharmacy in big bear to ask a question. One of the workers named Amy answered, as I started asking her my question, she rudely cut me off in the middle of my question and told me to hold but then hung up on me. I had already spent 11 minutes holding, i then had to call back and wait on hold for her to hang up on me again!!!!!! I think they need to reconsider there staff. read more

This Walgreens is awful. I have ordered pictures from their online photo service many times because cvs's photo department was temporarily shut down. The first time I was told that the person who normally works the photo department was off work that day so even though I ordered an item online and I let said it would be ready I would have to wait.... And that was after standing in the photo department for over 20 minutes waiting for someone to help me while an employee just continued to stock shelves next to me and never once asking if I needed help. The second time I ordered a canvas, same thing, was suppose to be ready at a certain time and wasn't. I was told I could pick it up two days later because they were out of the proper materials needed. I was then told by an employee that they have issues with their online system and they have asked Walgreens corporation to remove them from their website but that couldn't be done. If you ask me, them not having the proper equipment or employees working that department is not an error with the website, it's the management. read more
