Still my favorite Walgreens. Always so organized and such a friendly staff. Came to grab a prescription but I continue to forget the pharmacy doesn't open till 9a. Unless there are issues preventing me from getting off on time, I am usually done by 8:30a and will just walk on over. Fifteen minutes may not seem like a long time to and add to a basket you never intended to get. Being a favorite store means you know where everything is. Therefore, filling a basket is easy.

Wow, kuhrazy that I reviewed this exact Walgreens NINE years ago. I thought I was cool now, but turns out I've been cool this whole time! I found myself on State & Lake to reminisce the days I used to take the El here, & show my mother the Chicago theatre. Then... I noticed this Walgreens. I was like "MOM, I used to be there until midnight hanging out in the makeup section!" This did not horrify my mother at all. . . Why do none of the Walgreens locations in any other city I've visited have a second floor devoted to beauty & souvenirs?! Before u hit up a Chicago souvenir shop, come here or any of the Walgreens locations in the Loop or Near North neighborhoods bc the items are much more affordable: shirts, hoodies, baseball caps, magnets, mugs, cups, shot glasses, bags/wallets, etc. The escalator up to the top floor brings you to souvenirs, pain management/vitamins/flu remedies/etc, & beauty. They have the No.7 brand which is an incredible brand I found (in this very Walgreens!!!) that has long-lasting lip colour, excellent face care & moisturizers, & more. They also have an aisle of NYX which has long-lasting lip colour as well & a variety of face make-up. What I love most about Walgreens is their sales. The items I purchased were all $4-6 off. I think you have to register with your phone number to get the discount but registering is very simple. Can't believe I was here nine years ago. Time flies, but Walgreens is eternal... ALSO. I FOUND THREE VARIETIES OF VEGAN ICE CREAM BY BEN & JERRY's...!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah!

Walgreens was a quit in and out! I went in to purchase some chap stick but I thought it was super cool to see Sushi being served in a Walgreens! Now that's service! Haha! The ambiance was nice and chill and it even had 2 levels! The only issue, they were lacking a public restroom...but otherwise a cool Walgreens to visit. Until next time...Chao!

Fantastic Customer Service! A few weeks ago I went there looking for hand sanitizer that I could attach to my purse. The cashier came from behind the counter to show me where they were located in the store! Thank you! Lines move quickly as they are used to high volume. AWESOME SALADS- My favorite is the Turkey, Ham, and Cheese Chef Salad with the Ranch Dressing packet that is on the bottom of the salad and is enough to coat the salad perfectly! Huge portion for less than $5.00. Many salads to choose from too: Southwest Salad, Caesar Salad, and many others as well as vegetable and dip trays for snacking. Really healthy options.

Man I went into this Walgreens and was mad as hell! Why is this not in my neighborhood??? For a downtown location, this place has it all...cheese section, sushi bar, fresh fruit/sandwiches and a booze section to satisfy all price ranges. They even have Hawaiian rolls so I can eat my leftover pate and cheese. Staff was super friendly. Because I had never been in a Walgreen's like this, I was just wandering around, all wide eye. Three different people stopped to to ask me if I needed any assistance locating an item. On the flip side, you are paying downtown prices, but that is not an issue for me. I am paying for the convenience to get what I want without walking more than a block.

So this is one of those odd stores that straddles the line between luxury and at-risk. There are 2 entrance/exits, and that makes checkout easy but at times the back door is not open! I think because the Red Line (Blood stream) is so close, it's a magnet for thieves and pan handlers. The location is also to appeal to business people and tourists. I came in unexpectedly, on a rainy Sat early evening (7:45) and within 45 seconds I heard a commotion and saw 2 men running out like they were on fire! The 2nd larger guy was prob security. The other guy got away, narrowly missing moving cars State street. Also within minutes I was asked for spare change. That's a slippery slope for downtown: there is a counter in the front for eating the ready-to-eat food, but most of the time 'stragglers' are seated there out of the weather(this is my assumption, I'm not in marketing). Security wants to keep the store 'approachable' but not hassle people. I like browsing this store for the upstairs level and spaciousness but REALLY I go for the Redbox rentals! It's hard to find Redbox in the Loop. This one has only 1 but it's a decent one. The digital coolers are 'cool' too: you get a display that reflects what's inside, without having to open it.

Holy moly wanna talk about a Walgreens. This is the mother load. The absolute best. The most bomb Diggity Walgreens I've ever been in in my life! Hailing two stories above is the Windy City this Walgreens is on. One fresh fruit.? They got it. And one a deli sandwich? Yeah they got that too how about a liquor store... Yep! Now, you got to ask what about the pharmacy...on the second floor. Here's the best of all...EXPRESS RX PICKUP! You go to the kiosk and input your info, pay and BAM!!! The glass doors between kiosks pops open and ta daaaaaa there is someone with your prescription. Hey Walgreens. Welcome to the future!

It's a brand new year, and Walgreens just made its resolution: kick ass on all of its previous store incarnations and take no prisoners. This bright, two-story W's shines like an airy glass beacon at State and Randolph, and is even open late! (10pm) Waiting for a movie across the street the week this place opened, I could not stop myself from going in, as the huge wine selection was being christened by the Wine Channel, and also with tastings by the Ravenswood winery, complete with its founder in attendance! On the tasting menu were specialty Ravenswood reds that this Walgreens sells for $35/bottle, and also being tasted was the "black" variety at $80/bottle. Plenty of affordable wines and liquors are sold on the first floor, a perfect pop-in place before hitting up Millennium Park summer concerts! On the Randolph Street entrance on the first floor is a sushi bar, with a sushi chef and the offerings looked awesome. Sushi! At Walgreens! There's a juice bar, and also an indoor REDBOX machine, and organic veggies. Heading upstairs is the pharmacy, cosmetics, and the largest selection of 2 oz. travel sizes I have ever seen! Including my favorite face wash, which I've never even seen sold in travel size before this Walgreens. An exclusive! Service here was excellent! Associates standing all around. But maybe that was just opening week. Still, this place definitely has an air of a new upscale store model, and better service at W's is always welcome! I think my W's List is now complete and may be retired. The Mothership Has Landed. Dub Life will never be the same.

Had the BEST experience at the Chicago Dental Studio in West Loop!!! Like many, I dread visiting…read morethe dentist for routine cleanings, but my experience here was stellar (and now, my teeth are too!). From start to finish, I felt taken care of by the entire team and was highly impressed by their warmth, transparency (re: insurance pricing), and keen insights on my dental health. Thank you to the wonderful Mel, Jacinta, and Dr. Bosworth for all your hard work and professionalism - I look forward to coming back!

It has taken me quite some time to reflect upon this before writing a review. The Chicago Dental…read moreStudio is a decent facility overall, but I could never in good conscience recommend seeking dental care here due to Dr. Bosworth. The first issue that occurred is when I had a dental procedure performed. After injecting lidocaine, it took some time for Dr. Bosworth to come back and check on me. During the beginning of the procedure, he left the room to see other patients and didn't return for almost an hour. At that point, the local anesthesia had worn off and I had to undergo another unnecessary painful injection. It is quite obvious that Dr. Bosworth was juggling multiple patients at one time. This seems to be to maximize profit rather than actually focusing on providing quality care to each individual at a time. This was a scheduled appointment and it is never acceptable for a patient to have a needle stuck in their mouth, and then be essentially ignored for an hour, and then have to be stuck again just due to the wait. The second and much more concerning issue was regarding a crown that was placed. I had a root canal performed years before. Dr. Bosworth placed a crown over this area. Several month's later, I started having pain. When I saw Dr. Bosworth, he assured me that could not be the case since I should have no sensation in the area with the nerve already removed. I mentioned this several additional times and each time Dr. Bosworth wrote me off and ignored my concerns. I came to find out that there may sometimes be accessory nerves that may remain after a root canal and could absolutely continue to cause pain. I mentioned this to Dr. Bosworth yet again and he essentially told me that this was not the case and that my pain was from something else. Fast forward to a year later and I saw a different dentist as the pain was getting worse. They performed imaging and confirmed I had an accessory nerve in place that was indeed infected. The infection was too significant and had been occurring for so long that they would not be able to drill through the crown and tooth to treat the infection. I ended up having to spend thousands of dollars and go through several painful procedures to have the tooth extracted, then months later have a post placed, and then ultimately have another crown placed. I was informed by my new care team that this all could have been avoided if the accessory nerve infection was treated initially. This is despite me laying out the exact diagnosis for Dr. Bosworth. It is concerning that he lacks this medical knowledge despite his training, and even more concerning that this is the case after his patient had handed him the exact diagnosis. The pain and cost that I sustained due to Dr. Bosoworth's negligence is something I will always regret. I should have never gone to this dentist. I can't change what happened, but I would like to warn anyone thinking of seeking dental care here.

My review is actually for Dr. Cobbins at this same practice…read more Almost 1 year after my original BA I am still so thrilled I went with Dr. Cobbins. She was very realistic but also open with me and what I wanted. I always felt taken care of and like I could ask questions. She did a wonderful job addressing my partner's questions too since he would be helping with my aftercare. There was a minor complication that developed preventing my right side from dropping as it should, and Dr. Cobbins was very supportive and proactive about doing a crease revision and I was only charged a partial fee for the anesthesiologist, for the procedure 3 months after my original BA. Dr. Cobbins is approachable, realistic and caring. I had another consultation (NSPS) before deciding on Aesthetic Institue of Chicago and they wanted to charge me more, didn't really listen to me and talked down to me, trying to push me towards an incision style I did not want. I was able to tell Dr. Cobbins what I wanted, she told me what she thought would fit best and I ended up going one size below my maximum. My results are very natural looking but help me finally fill out clothing the way I wanted to. Getting this surgery and having such a supportive surgical team and doctor helped me finally have the confidence I had been searching for over many years. I went wedding dress shopping about three months ago and were it not for my surgery, I don't think I would have enjoyed the experience as much as I did nor felt as good in my dress.

I trusted these surgeons because I'd already had multiple procedures with them, including a tummy…read moretuck this year that went smoothly with minimal pain support and uncomplicated healing. Then I had gluteal fold surgery to remove excess skin under the buttocks extending into the upper thigh. This is not comparable to most surgeries--it's directly in an area of constant pressure, sitting, movement, compression, and tension. The tissue never truly rests. During surgery I was not fully numb and experienced significant pain but felt unable to stop the procedure. Post-op, I was cleared for baths early, which I questioned. Shortly after, the incision opened in an area already under constant compression from body weight. What followed was disappointing: limited aftercare guidance, wound separation, severe ongoing pain, and little acknowledgment of how difficult recovery from this specific procedure can be. I have a small child. I still have to drive, sit, function, and recover. The sharp radiating pain into my tailbone and leg has been unlike any surgery I've experienced. What hurt most was feeling dismissed. I was told pain management could not continue despite my history of being careful and responsible with medication use. I do not drink, smoke, or use drugs. I've even returned unused pain medication after prior surgeries. For me, pain medication is a temporary surgical recovery tool--not a lifestyle. I never expected unlimited medication. I expected my care team to stay involved and help me recover from the surgery they performed. Pain is personal. No surgeon should decide what level of pain a patient should be experiencing--especially in a procedure they themselves have never lived through. I'll find the care I need, but I'm disappointed I had to look elsewhere while recovering from complications and severe pain. I won't return and I can't recommend this practice. I'd hate for someone else to feel abandoned during recovery the way I did.

Problem is no other bears this kind of burden of sitting, bending and all function. The pain is immense and the aftercare is judged by surgeons who obviously lost perspective (which they can't as never been thru) and have told me how I should be perceiving pain and minimized and dismissed me. Sadly super nice to talk to but judgemental and wrong in how they perceive pain around this procedure and lack in aftercare leaving patients they cut struggling to find outside help if still needed.
