This is my local Walgreens where I come to pick up my prescriptions. Each time I visit the pharmacy department, I have to wait in an extremely long! Once, I waited 30 minutes when there was only one person in front of me! The pharmacy department is disorganized and understaffed. They have three registers yet only one is ever used! I dread picking up my prescriptions now! It is such a waste of time for something that should take under ten minutes. I'm definitely going to consider changing my prescription pick up location. Walgreens is a trusted Covid test site for Hawaii, however do not trust them to get your Covid test back in time for your flight. If you do it through them kiss you vacation goodbye. It's day 4 and I still don't have my test results (our flight left yesterday-within the 72 hour timeframe needed for the results). It's shameful that they don't post anywhere that their testing is delayed or tell you when you let them know it's for a flight. My test wasn't picked up for two days because FedEx already picked up at noon and they were closed the next day for Christmas. They just took my test like zombies that don't give a leap about other human beings. read more

I was at Walgreens and thought I'd find some discounted easter candy. BUT- regular price for Cadbury eggs was 4/$3 all though easter but 4/$2 as a sale price ALL through the holiday. I was going to buy some today but they jumped the "regular price by more than double so now they actually cost a dollar more WITH the 50% discount. The store people are generally nice and good. But the pharmacy is horrible. Three of us went to this pharmacy for flu shot yesterday. We arrived at around 4PM and were told that there was one family of three ahead of us and the waiting time was about 10 mins. So we thought we just wait. By the time we got flu shot, it was 5:10PM, 70 mins later! The actual flu shot for three of us took about 5 mins. So the entire time we were stuck there waiting in a pretty busy area in the pharmacy! I asked them several times and they kept giving different excuses. The pharmacy is a total chaos! Nothing is streamlined or organized. There were about 8 to 10 people insider their counter wandering in all directions and you couldn't tell who is in charge of what. Never going to visit this pharmacy again! read more

DON'T go there for covid test!! The lady who gave me instruction during the test is SOOOO RUDE. I don't know what's with her, she frowned every time when she said something, and her tone was so impatient, it got worse when she couldn't hear me. Feels like she just hated what she's doing and absolutely didn't like talking to people. My friend went there too and got the same experience. If you have to go there for the test, be prepared for the worst customer experience. read more

Soon after my previous bad review was written, I came into that very same Walgreens and, MAGICALLY, - everything was just fine: our prescriptions got filled in no time. Sadly, that was the ONLY occasion when things worked out there as they should ... 6 month later - and I see more and more people being busy behind that pharmacy counter, but no service improvement whatsoever: still long lines, waiting for their prescriptions getting filled for ... forever. Recently, I came into their store at 8 a.m., just upon its opening, hoping that at least this time there would be no lines ... yet. ;) BIG mistake - the pharmacy was not open at all (and the store hours website says it should be!). I waited 10 minutes before some pharmacist finally came and started doing his job. Of course, by that time, the line formed ... as usual. Why on Earth you guys are so slow and ineffective? I remember with great nostalgy, that each time, coming to drop-off or pick-up prescription at Ride Aid, I was seeing just 2 (!) (3 max ... but rarely) ladies behind that counter: however, the lines were very rare, the usual waiting time was 15 (not 20!) minutes, and very often the prescription was filled sooner (which I was notified by the call and text of, while still doing some other shopping in the store). Here at your f-ing Walgreens, your declared waiting time is 20 minutes and even when I come 25, 30 or more minutes later, I still need to wait "a few more minutes". And now your team seems to me much bigger then it was when we were transferred to you after New Year and then of the Ride-Aid's team. What are you all doing there? I think this location is in the habit of losing customers with it's poor attempt at customer service. I already had to call the corporate number once because an employee took it upon herself to refuse the ad price on an item that was included in the ad instead of calling a manager. My father already talked to the store manager a couple of times to let them know that their customer service is lacking. I just went in there today and was made to feel like a complete idiot because an item was in the clearence section but with no discounted price. I went to ask older lady in the cosmetics section and she was looking down her nose at me while she was like, "um you know the price is listed right?" why thank you, but it's in your clearence section w/o a price and i'm wondering if it was there for a reason or if it was thrown in there by a customer. Can you not be snob about it while you are doing a price check for me? I am the customer and I am choosing to spend my money at this store. I do not need to be belitted or made to feel like an idiot. I use to work management for Walgreens and I know how highly my store manager stressed customer service. Customer satisfaction means more business which in turn means more hours. Or if you are a store manager, customer satisfaction means more business which means a bigger bonus check for you. I cannot express how disappointed I am with this location. The only employee that I even seen treat customers with respect is the main cashier. read more

Bad services and super slow! There are multiple technicians inside but just only 1 staff working in the counter.

Really poor customer service (much like the Walgreens in Sunnyvale on Mary and Fremont), and a number of items are not re-stocked often. The employees at this location are really good at looking right past shoppers. If you want to know what it's like to be invisible, this location can give you that experience. It's bizarre how the employees have blank looks. I've been here a few times, and each time I've seen frustrated customers at the pharmacy dealing with messed up orders. The store is well lit and organized, but some of the items are extremely dusty. Huge parking lot and clean bathrooms. I only stop by here if I'm near Vallco. I generally go to two Walgreens (both on El Camino Real) in Sunnyvale, or the one in Santa Clara (also on El Camino) near the DMV. Way better customer service at those locations. read more

I never typically review places like drugstores or common store chains as they're pretty much all the same to me. Of course, unless they are particularly bad at or incapable of providing the basic simple services. LONG STORY SHORT: AVOID THE PHARMACY HERE AT ALL COSTS. I went to the pharmacy one day around 1:10pm to get my flu shot because well, I usually avoid lunch hour between 12 and 1 since most pharmacies take a lunch break at this time. This Asian pharmacist tells me "Oh, you have to come back at 2:45 because we take our lunch break at 1:30. It's also the law that I have to watch you for 15 min after we give you the shot and be available just in case anything happens to you." So of course I told her I get the flu shot every year without ANY symptoms of a reaction/anaphylaxis and I've NEVER been told that I had to be watched for 15 minutes after the shot. I am also in my last year of medical school so I'm fairly certain that I know what to do with myself in case I experience a problem post shot - I wouldn't trust this Asian lady to take care of me anyway so therefore her being around "in case anything happens" is essentially a moot point. Again, this ridiculous pharmacist REFUSED to give me a shot because apparently it would "take too long" and "we HAVE TO go on lunch break at 1:30." Let's not even go into which crappy pharmacy takes a lunch break at 1:30pm anyway. Eventually I found out what she said was complete BS. I spoke to a pharmacist friend of mine who said that it is NOT the law that they have to watch you for 15 minutes afterwards and if it was him, he would've given me the shot. So obviously these pharmacists are just lazy people making crap up so that they go on their "lunch break" on time. In the time that I spent arguing with her to reason out why she wouldn't give me a shot (no logical reason whatsoever), I could've been LONG done with filling out paperwork and received the shot already., hence a win/win situation. Of course, the pharmacist chickens out of arguing with me because none of her arguments make sense, calls the manager, and then closes the pharmacy doors on me. I immediately go to the Rite-Aid on Bollinger and Miller, ask for a flu shot there, fill out paperwork, get the shot, and walk out in less than 10 minutes. All this WITHOUT a) having to be "watched" for a reaction to the shot and b) I did NOT have a reaction to the shot anyway...well, well, big surprise there.... I would advise anyone here to go to the Rite-Aid which has MUCH better customer service. I'll be a doctor in less than a year and I'm definitely NOT sending any of my patients to this Walgreens if it can be avoided. read more

Many many times the pharmacist has said my Rx has never been called in-- I've checked with my provider who said that after being on hold for over 20 min they left in in the pharmacy voicemail. Additionally, there is always a terribly long wait. I rarely get informed when my Rx is ready. On multiple occasions the pharmacy has been closed during normal business hours, inexplicably. -- Not out for lunch, not closed for the day-- just gone, in the middle of the afternoon. Although this pharmacy is around the corner from my house, we will discontinue filling our prescriptions here. I suspect they are horribly understaffed. read more

Went wandering in here as someone wanted some ice for their cooler on a long trip. However they only had these 9lb bags which were wrapped in 3lb increments. That's weird. Why not just sell the 3lb increments? How often does one need 9lbs? Otherwise this place is a convenience in a mostly residential area. read more

I read a story in the news about a woman that was about to miscarry and opted to fulfill a prescription to help her body expel her undeveloping 9 week fetus. I read that the pharmacist refused to fulfill it due to moral obligation. I'm heartbroken for that poor woman, since I went through something very similar. I, too, had an undeveloping fetus but at 10 weeks. I, too, had wanted this child with all my heart, and have had previous miscarriages. My doctor and I had monitored the fetus for two weeks after she suspected I was miscarrying just in case, and I was heartbroken and devastated to learn I had miscarried again. I, too, was given the options of D&C or to fulfill a prescription for medicine to miscarry in the privacy of my own home. I, too, chose to fulfill a prescription. Here is where my story differs, when I went to fulfill it the pharmacist asked me what it was for. I went through several emotions at that moment, shock, outrage, sadness, and humiliation. I didn't understand why she had asked me that question. I think I stood there for several moments dumbfounded while she stood holding my prescription. Thankfully, I gave the "right" answer and was given my prescription. What If I had given a "wrong" answer? Would I have been denied my medication? The thought had never occurred to me until I read the news article about this same situation this morning. How could a pharmacist possibly understand the intricacies of each and every women's life and medical situation? They can't and shouldn't. It is wrong. My heart breaks for the woman in the article, and for women who have to end their pregnancies because of their own life's unique circumstances. To have a pharmacist then judge you as part of that journey is cruel and completely unnecessary. We need more empathy and compassion for women not more judgements. Being a woman is hard enough, we really don't need another person to weigh in on our lives. read more

Finding the most conveniently located drugstore from work is a must. I have decided this is the Walgreens I will be frequently as it's far from the busy streets with a ton of stoplights. So, it's easy to get to. It's not a huge Walgreens, but it carries the essentials and that's really all I'm asking for. I can't help but laugh about an interesting conversation with a cashier who was ringing me up. A male customer before me asked the cashier how old she thought he looked. Turns out he was 70 instead of 50 years old. She certainly made one customer happy. Of course, he then talks about his girlfriend and then out of nowhere he mentions a wife. OK, I guess that's what happens when you're a little older, you have time to spare for both your wife and a girlfriend? (This review is SO not about Walgreens anymore...) read more

Horrible! Staff has an attitude and unhelpful. Went in to ask info could buy an entire box of Raisinets instead of the individual boxes, since my girlfriends daughter is living overseas and can't get them. Cashier just pointed to the aisle and said I could get them over there. So I went and picked up the 20 little boxes I needed and took them to the counter. Of course, they fell all over the counter when I tried to put them down. I apologized since that wasn't my intention, but mentioned it would have been easier to have been able to get a whole unopened box and charge me for that. No response from cashier. She rings me up and then felt it necessary to ask if I wanted a bag!! Gee, let me think ..... Yeah! I'll take that bag to carry those 20 little boxes of Raisinets!!!! Really?! Of course I need a bag!! Why even ask that!! Especially after I accidentally dropped them all over the counter!! The she decides she needs to refer me to the manager. Lady, the time to refer to the manager was right when I came in!! Could have avoided the entire problem if she'd done that first. I won't be back there. Mixed feelings about this Walgreens location. The pharmacy technicians are severely overworked from being understaffed. One pharmacist in particular (I've seen her on a couple of Sundays) is mostly rude, but then surprised me one day by being incredibly helpful! She must have thought I was someone else?! Hah! I tried to move my prescription here. I did it online, received my confirmation what time the script would be ready. I show up at the pharmacy and they had no record of the request. I show them the text and email confirmation with the day/time for pick up. They spend another 10 minutes on a computer and finally came back and said they do not have it and i need a new prescription from my doctor. So, i left and will not ever go back to Walgreens for meds. Oh, and i had to wait 30 minutes to experience that because of the amount of people waiting even though they had 5 people working in the pharmacy, i counted 5 but could have been more, and only 1 person working the instore line. read more

Do not go here for a COVID-19 test. Unless you plan on spending your day here. Find another location. They are working the store and the inside pharmacy and then squeezing the Covid 19 test in between and making people wait a long time. Came here after dinner in the plaza one day to pickup some batteries and face wash. The manager was quite nice with trying to help me out and asked me if I needed anything. However, their staff is just plain incompetent. It took the staff member way too long to finally understand what I was looking for and led to me to products I had already looked at. As we walked to the checkout, this staff member proceeded to flag us down taking us to their cash register in the cosmetics section (I'm assuming because she wanted to collect commission on the sale). She had us wait there while she started up the station, fumbled around not knowing how to retrieve a Walgreens member account by telephone number, and finally called the manager over for assistance. This forced us to wait there for at least 5 minutes as she fumbled around, when we could have easily gone to the front to check out. Will not shop here unless we absolutely have to. read more

I got a whooping cough shot here and I loved the experience. They have new signs now so you can easily spot the immunizations sign from the entrance of the store. I had to fill out some information and had a short 5 minute wait. I was nervous about getting the shot but it went by fast. Ji was very nice and helpful. Their customer service is also pretty good. When I ask for the location of certain items, the cashiers will direct me to the right location. Also, when the line was long, a cashier at the photo center directed us to her so we did not have to wait in a long line. read more

Came to the store to drop off a FedEx package for returning an iPhone. Store clerk gave me all kind of hassle about it containing a battery. WTF, this was a Apple certified package with printed FedEx returning label. Instead, I went to a genuine FedEx store and it was accepted right way. Whenever I place a request for refill, I am informed that " orders placed for the medicine" (because it is not available). this is happening every month.
