My boyfriend and I regularly get our prescriptions sent here as it's near our home. The first time I came 5 minutes before closing (I thought they closed later) and they tried to refuse me getting my medication. I let them know that I needed to start it ASAP and they reluctantly helped me. They were clearly rushing and refused another customer after me even though they weren't technically closed yet. They even gave me a hard time about applying my insurance to it so I could afford it.. While I can somewhat understand the situation, it should be stated that you must show up however much time beforehand for pick up or the workers should be given a grace period instead of having to be closed down by "closing time". It completely inappropriate to make customers feel this way. Just today, my boyfriend picked up a new medication for me that I've never taken. Nobody explained how to use the medication or what to do, yet he was told you click a button that said they did explain it. California law states that they have to explain each new medication to you, even if you don't ask.. And this is definitely not the only time this has happened. read more

Dear CVS, I really thought you'd just be like the others. Easily accessible most hours of the day and generally nice to look at. Boy, was I wrong! I can only get a hold of you during the part of the day in which I am super busy. Unfortunately I'll have to switch back to your more accommodating friends to get my needs met. Sadly, Dopesauce __________ Happy Two-Star Tuesday! This is definitely not my favorite CVS. The pharmacy closes at 6pm! And doesn't open until 10am. That is the narrowest margin for a pharmacy that I know of. TIP: If you have a regular 9am-6pm job, this is not the pharmacy for you. You won't be able to pick up your prescriptions! DATE TIP: Not my idea of a good time. I moved all my prescriptions back to a CVS that's open until 9pm. Much better time for a date. read more

There was only one person working the counter in the front. It took 15 minutes to pick up photos. I ordered just 10 photos. I only got 8. The order goes through the app, the machine prints them, and the photos get put in an envelope. How do they mess that up?? read more

Hold on. I can understand the reviews of the recent past. I was moved over from RiteAid too. The long lines went on for about 6 weeks, during that time they tried various measures (combining family medications to reduce visits, improving the call system to include call backs which I always received within an hour) in order to solve the problem. The employees were always trying to process the demand-- no one was standing around. Our fam just had all our shots there. They were kind and courteous. The long lines are less frequent, and move faster than before. Maybe some of you need to update your reviews. read more

Literally took 45 minutes to pickup my medication where @ rideaid was 2 mins! First u stand in one line & then another for them to look up ur meds then wait another 15 mins then another line! Stay away from this pharmacy! They r not the friendliest people read more

My medications just switched to Hollenbeck CVS from Rite-Aid. What a MAJOR REDUCTION in customer service. LONG lines to pickup meds. NO WAY to phone in and DIRECTLY speak to someone in pharmacy. Only method is to leave message. They have been good about returning messages, thank goodness. I just wanted to know if my meds had come to that specific CVS or were they accidently sent to a different CVS. I have to wait an hour for the call back to get this answer? Clerks pleasant and helpful but significantly understaffed - need DOUBLE to be even close to Rite Aid. Know I will be moving my medications to another pharmacy. CVS has fallen from my graces with slow delivery. Case-in-Point: My doctor called in two prescriptions the prior day. When I arrived at the pharmacy the following day at 1: 50, they were out to lunch. Fine, I waited until 2. Only one prescription was filled. The unfilled prescription would take 40 minutes. I did not want to wait around. For 40 minutes. I left having to shop. I came back at 5:30. My husband went in to get both prescriptions with a long line and only one pharmacist on duty. He was there for almost an hour. I respected your time, please respect mine. The plus is that CVS is price competitive. read more

Dear CVS, your management was really unhelpful, I asked how to use the scanner, one guy just totally didn't know anything, the manager said, " it's self.....". I went to Walgreens on Fremont, two times. gentlemen helped me to go through everything, even helped me to put the pictures into the frames. What a huge differences! read more

I routinely have to drive an extra two hours every other friday to make up for this locations incompetence. It never is able to get my meds in stock no matter how much notice they have. Lotto winner be aware! I've been going to this CVS for years even before it was CVS, it's convenient and has all items I need. On top of it, it has a lottery ticket machine which I put couple of dollars here and there and never won anything until today. I scanned my ticket with phone app, it shows the ticket is a winner, not much, just $8. I stopped by at CVS to claim my prize, cashier Mark who seems friendly enough puts the ticket into a machine for reading, the screen on the machine displays wining prize $8, see clerk for prize. Mark took the ticket out, walked away, later he came back told me that ticket has already been cashed, he showed me a big black stamp on my ticket with CASHED on it, the bar code on ticket is also been marked with inks and the ticket can no longer been scanned. Mark told me he can't give me anything. I knew something is fishing here, I told him to call the manager and check the security cameras and see what was going, he said "do you really want to call manger and spend an hour to go through the security cameras just for $8?", I said yes, it's not about the money, it's about something here isn't right. Well, he didn't call the manager but manager happened to walk by. Mark lied to him said when I handed the ticket to him, he saw the "cashed" stamp on it already. After he finished his story, I asked why he didn't say anything to me if he saw the stamp, instead he insert the ticket into machine for reading, after machine showing how much it has won, he walked away and only came back to show me that ticket was " cashed". After hearing my side of story, manager told him to give me the $8. My purpose of sharing this experience is to alert anyone who has a winner lottery ticket to be careful when you handed it over to someone. And good luck out there. , read more

These folks have a small clinic, which may explain why their pharmacists are clinically idiotic. Terrible - at the most vulnerable time of one's life (during illness), this pharmacy and the pharmacists show zero sympathy. Their system is broken end to end. I hope CVS goes bankrupt and we, as patients, are provided with a more humane and streamlined solution to receiving our prescribed and essential drugs. read more

This CVS has given me more disappointment than any other location has before. The managers DO NOT CARE about their customers or supporting their team members on the sales floor. I trusted this location with my personal rolls of film photos to be developed and over a span of 3 months, two rolls never came back. On two separate occasions, the same manager (a woman with black curly hair) told me to list my name/number down and said she would call to find out where the missing film went. She told me she would call me back to let me know what happened but fast forward a month later and she NEVER contacted me back. At this point, I realize this team could not be trusted. I came back today to speak to a manager in person about my missing rolls of film and I could clearly hear the associate talking to a manager over their walkie-talkies. But a manager NEVER came out to speak to me and the poor associate helping me felt so bad because she did not know what to do. The associate and I felt so unsupported and confused. She ended up calling a manager on her personal device who then told her to just give me the CVS Support number and to figure it out on my own. The associate even found the paper with my name/number on it and said "We don't even know what that manager was doing with this. She never told any of us about this situation and we haven't seen her in a long time." I've never left a negative review before but after this horrible experience and loss of BOTH my money AND my personal film photos of my family/friends, I felt compelled. I've also never requested to speak to a manager before and yet these managers did not even care to give me the time of day after countless disappointing interactions. I will not be going back to this location and I post this as a warning as I wouldn't want anyone else to have a similar experience. The management team does not care about their accountability, putting customer service at their forefront, or supporting their greater team when they need help. I never write reviews but these employees are miserable sometimes... I coupon sometimes right, so I go to self checkout because workers get annoyed when I coupon at the register, understandably. The guy is like practically lingering over me while I'm scanning my first transaction, which they're usually told to do so I don't completely mind. The second one I mis-calculated and didn't send all the Extra Bucks to my card so I wanted to restart it so I could spend less since I pay for the subscription anyways. I ask the guy nicely for help explaining why I wanted to restart and he gave me attitude and said "more coupons???" like twice...I literally had used two and one of my extra bucks rewards. Then he's trying to do anything but restart it and I'm like no you have to restart it because it doesn't let me go back and he just kind of gives me attitude after like two minutes and finally restarts it. I'm literally paying and it's not coming out of the employee's pocket so I don't get why he had to 1. Linger over me twice and then 2. Be rude? read more

Came here for three things: a greeting card, People magazine, and a restroom. They had the card, but no magazine and no restroom (which I suspect to be untrue - are the employees to hold their bladder all day???) Very disappointing. Also, despite there being at least three employees up front, only one of them was on the register, so there was a line when there didn't need to be. And the one woman that was on a register was busy talking to her cohorts. Customer service was lacking today. Is the first time I've ever been to this particular store, so I don't know if this is the norm, but given the two stars that it has received cumulatively so far, I suspect that it is. It gets one star for cleanliness. It was clean. That said, I will not be visiting here again. read more

RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE - do yourself a favor DO NOT GO THERE! Especially if you're a person of color. The employee guy working on 9/10/23 PM (Caucasian or Latin guy ,short black hair, with bit of a belly showing) was the WORST experience I've had in ANY stores. He started an argument with me in the middle of my shopping . I was comparing my products the guy started following me and started yelling at me not to check on products and proceeded to have attitudes gestures while arguing. This was first time visiting this CVS location and was enjoying my shopping but left as I couldn't checkout the tons of products I already had in my basket since I was so disgusted with this naughty behavior from a man and employee. Please CVS fired this guy - a very disrespectful, unmannered, unprofessional and pretty sure but racist as well. I don't usually Yelp pharmacy stores (I mean, why really), but this one had to be reviewed . . . WHY? It sucked ass. Beauty section was weak sauce all around. Where the heck is my cheap Wet N Wild products? I shopped and checked out. The cashier asked me if I had a CVS card, I said no. He then rung up my items. I noticed that my hair bands did not show the sale price. I mentioned it. Instead of checking the price or have someone check the price, he just stood there, mouth gaping open and responded, "Well, that was what was rung up." Lay down the crack pipe, bro. So I had to go to the aisle with the hair bands, pull off the sale sign, walk back to the register, and show it to him. Instead of just giving me my $1.50 credit, he then called the manager. The manager looked at me and said, "I apologize for the inconvenience, but he should have just given you the discounted price without me having to be here." OMFG. The manager was cool and apologetic, so I give them a star. But everything else . . . hell no. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CVS. read more

Staff is very unhelpful. I asked for a receipt and she said she would need to go upstairs to print a receipt. Really? In 2022? I bought a pair of cheap wireless ear buds but it was kept under lock and key. So I couldn't see the description and now it's a piece of junk that I can't be bothered to go and return, while waiting for the staff lady to go upstairs to print a receipt. I almost feel like it used to be a grocery store and then it was converted. There's a lot of space here and as a result the store feels very vast. I thought the inventory felt lacking, especially in the drink section. Walgreens usually has an impressive wall of drinks. Great visit here today- came in to get a prescription transferred from a location in Texas, and not only was it hassle free, they even said I could wait for it and have it expedited to be ready ASAP! Great customer service, there. Rest of the store is pretty huge compared to other CVS stores. Did not seem to have much staff, and was a little weirded out by the older black lady cashier wearing plastic gloves as if she was afraid of getting cooties from the customers... I know money is dirty, but most people pay with cards these days anyway, and it just struck me as incredibly odd. read more

Ehh, I don't really come here as often as I used to before. This CVS used to be a Longs Drugs and has been in this shopping center forever, so I still feel like I can give a definitive review of this location. Positives are still mainly the same: + Sizable, well-lit store + Friendly employees (when you can find them) + Very organized and clean. + Plenty of parking available thanks to being located in a large shopping center Cons: - INSANELY LONG RECEIPTS - It almost feels like there's barely anybody working here save for one cashier, the manager and the pharmacists working in the pharmacy in the back. I needed an item that was in one of their cases that needed to be unlocked. The cashier ended up having to leave her checkstand to help me after no one else showed up. Meh. 3 stars read more

This store does not allow customers to use their bathroom facilities. I asked four different times over the past few months and they always say "bathroom is out of order, the closest is KFC". I want to mention that the first two times I really needed to use the bathroom as I am on a special diet but after that i just wanted to see their response. I also want to mention that every time I made a purchase before asking to use the bathroom. They clearly do not value or care about their customers. read more

This review is for Laura I've been a customer for many years now, and have always had a great experience at CVS, especially with all the discounts they give me through e-mail, but today was an experience i hope to soon forget. I wanted to purchase Crest White Strips. On the display (because people presumably steal these), it says just take the display to the cashier and they'll bring out the real whitestrips. When i brought the display to the cashier, laura kept trying to look for the bar code to scan for a few minutes. After patiently waiting, i told her that this was the display model and that she needs to grab the white strips boxes (i've bought white strips here before) are located next to the cigarettes behind the cashier table. Laura out of no where screamed, " Don't tell me what to do!!!". She started to look at the display for a few more minutes, and as the line started to build up, she just yelled at me (as if i was trying to trick her), and said that she will have to cancel the transaction. I told her to please call the manager so he can better assist me with the whitestrips, and she said yelled again "don't tell me what to do alright?!". then she decided to page the manager and the manager told her that indeed the whitestrips are located next to the cigs and this was just the display model. Flustered and angry at me for no reason (i think she thought i was trying to get her angry or undermine her for what she does which is certainly not the case), she told me that i was a "cheap customer" for bringing 2 coupons from the e-mail. i live close to cvs, so it'll be a shame that i'll never be coming back after being yelled at, and having such an experience. looks like rite aid or wallgreens it is. read more

I have gone to this pharmacy for years. I changed for a bit to Wallgreens as I heard their prices were less expensive, but missed the very nice pharmacist, Olga. Unfortuately, Olga is no longer there. The new pharmacy manager, Shinhae, is the rudest professionally educated employee I have ever encountered (I was a professional person myself, and totally understand the importance of customer service). She does not belong working with the public! She has no sense of customer service, no empathy, spoke to me very loudly when I was very concerned about a terribly expensive drug I was having to purchase and the coupon I had wouldn't work for me. Ms. Shinhae was talking to me so loudly that other customers could hear her which was an embarrassment and very uncomfortable for me. I will be transferring my account somewhere else as soon as possible (and I have a lot of prescriptions that are filled there, so CVS makes a lot of money because of my being a client). I will always tell people what a terrible pharmacy this has become. And, the fact that this business has no public bathroom and hasn't for years is also ridiculous. It did used to have a public bathroom, that's how long I have gone there. This pharmacy needs to clean up its act - believe me, people will stop going there with this very rude and obnoxious new manager. She needs customer service training ASAP or bring Olga back. Lastly, phone calls are never answered either, so now I have to press the button that says I am calling from a Dr's office, that's the only way I can get a live person. This is a really bad situation and just a shame for people who who have been good customers. read more

Used to be great -- sliding downhill fast When this store was Longs, it was a pretty friendly and neat local drugstore with alot of non-pharmacy items. Over time, Long's deteriorated to the point where they had to sell this off to CVS. As a CVS, I have gotten to the point where going here is almost always a painful experience, even to just pick up some prescriptions. The last time, the line for picking up drugs was long and slow moving. Only 1 person handling the pickups, and she got sidetracked by a couple of ladies who had alot of questions. I can appreciate the helpful service to someone who has questions, but if there's a line of waiting customers, and the people are just READING the labels, trying to make up their mind, searching their purses for their CVS card, fumbling around for a credit card that they can't find, etc., etc., isn't there a better way to service those of us who are waiting? Around 1:30 PM today, there were about a dozen people in line. The cashier kept getting on the intercom and asking for an additional cashier. Well, no one ever showed up, even after 10 minutes of waiting. Lots of things were out of stock, missing shelf tags, or damaged. And there were numerous customers complaining to staff about the restroom being closed. It seems the restroom was flooded recently, and they are in no hurry to make it usable again. While I was in line, some of the shoppers walked out because they couldn't deal with the long line, plus they had to use the restroom. Off to Orchard Supply (in the same shopping center) they went, for a working restroom. I finally had to leave because the cash register scanner malfunctioned and couldn't scan a shopper's CVS card. She entered her phone number, and that didn't work. The computer would not allow the cashier to enter the shopper's CVS card number manually. The cashier called for a manager, and no one appeared. And everyone just stood there. I put my stuff down and walked out. One cashier, a huge line, and no additional cashiers nor a manager available, despite the cashier's repeated intercom requests for help. I have shopped at this location for at least 5 years, and the main theme is staff shortage. I will definitely not be back. read more

Went in to pick up a prescription but got there too late. The pharmacy must close at 5 pm on Sundays. I used to shop there years ago when it was Long's but I found the store so dirty, I was wishing I'd had the prescription phoned in to another store. I really dread going back in there and may even call my doctor to see about having them call to a different store. Not sure if all the CVS stores are as bad as this, but I know I didn't like it when they put carpeting in years ago. Also, the line to check out as I walked in was about 10 people long. No one seemed to be very happy, as I think they'd been waiting for a while. read more
